I had my regular ultrasound at 7 weeks and was measuring 6 weeks with a fetal heartbeat of 112. The doc said for 6 weeks that was okay and to do a follow up ultrasound in 2 weeks. (This same thing happened with my previous pregnancy and all was normal.)
I went back this week for my follow up ultrasound and the fetal heartheart had dropped to 60 and the ultrasound showed fluid pockets in the baby's chest. The doctor pretty much had no idea what the fluid pockets were and said it was probably a developmental or genetic abnormality but pretty much told me to be prepared to miscarry.
I go back for a follow up ultrasound on Tuesday to see if the heart rate is up or even still there. I am so shocked because I thought everything would be okay this time like it was last time. Praying for healing and development but preparing for the worst.
