Re: Symptoms w/o 4/1

  • @klj0228 Literally laughed out loud! So real! Meanwhile I guess I'll just keep barfing through week 14, week 15, week 16 now...sigh.

  • Bahahahahhaha, @klj0228! Yes!
  • +1 feeling gassy all the time. I have to remind myself i'm at work today and can't just deflate any time anywhere...  :D

  • @adirat me too! Well I’m only 14 weeks and I luckily have had a couple days break in between the bad days. People lie about pregnancy...get to the 2nd trimester it’s much better! So grateful to make it to the 2nd trimester but it is not much better.

@sclarke7 yes! I don’t know what I will do when I have to start traveling to clients again in May. Right now I can just deflate (yes, I say that too because it feels very true) whenever I want.
  • After four nights in a row, it’s time to admit that the pregnancy insomnia is settling in (in spite of the diclegis). Dang it. Was hoping to continue sleeping well for a few more weeks.

Crazy headaches here.... any tricks?? Eating,  water and Tylenol don't do much :(

Also the gas and deflation comments cracked me up ladies! The struggle is real!
  • @tpeci I was struggling with headaches for a couple of weeks last month. I mentioned them at my doctors appointment because eventually Tylenol was doing nothing for them. He suggested that I try a little bit of coffee. I had mixed feelings about drinking coffee (I know research says a cup or two is considered safe now, but I just don't normally have any and didn't really want to drink any while pregnant), but I had half a cup and voila! headache gone.
  • @tpeci Try neck and shoulder massage as well as some gentle neck stretches.

  • @tpeci I second trying caffeine in a small amount. Coffee, a coke, anything really!
  • I ate a moderate sized salad and sauteed zucchini for lunch and I'm so freaking gassy. I get that digestion needs to slow down to better absorb nutrients but I feel like I'm a balloon ready to pop!

Still feeling nauseous and throwing up daily. Hoping it will pass at some point. 17 weeks tomorrow.
  • I’m still feeling pretty good other than being tired and unable to sleep much. Today I’m feeling something weird - almost like very mild  cramps but more like just pressure? Or slight pinching? It’s scaring me a little only because I’ve had zero cramping whatsoever this whole 18 weeks so to feel anything is worrisome. It’s not severe; and honestly barely even painful. Just strange.
  • @nlc8424 Solidarity....I am having the worst gas pains today, and ate a kale salad for lunch which probably wasn't smart. +1 to the balloon feeling...after dinner every night, I also feel like my belly can't possibly expand any more!

@ashh2018 I agree with @EErin86 - I usually feel mildly crampy at the end of the day from my uterus growing/expanding. A warm heating pad helps. Could also be your baby kicking/moving around  :)

  • @ashh2018 I would agree with @EErin86 that it's probably growing pains! Don't be surprised if you're bumping out some more soon. A heating pad or bath with Epsom salts has made me feel better in the past.
  • Sciatica has hit!

At this rate I’ll be immobile by my due date.  :'(

@zuzu43 @starla @Wishilivedinflorida Ok! Will give coffee a try! I tried a neck massage a month back and they pulled a muscle... couldn't sleep or move for a couple of days so I've been a bit reticent since.... I'm sure if it's a gentle massage though it should be fine
  • @Wishilivedinflorida Oh no! I feel mine coming back on...my right thigh goes numb every morning while I'm standing getting ready, which is how mine started last time. Ugh.

  • My hips are so sore today. Yesterday I was up and down off the floor brushing my dogs and today I just ache. Also, my face keeps breaking out and it's driving me crazy. I don't remember being so prone to breakouts with DS, and I'm keeping up with good hygiene so obviously it's hormonal.
  • @nlc8424 I keep breaking out also!

Is anyone else starting to feel uncomfortable? I feel like everything is starting to get squished in my abdomen but I would think it's too early for that (18 weeks).
  • @zuzu43 YES! 17, going on 18 weeks with #2 and I have started to feel uncomfortable this week. My digestion is off, my belly is sore from growing in the evenings, I'm tired and I'm grumpy about it.

  • @zuzu43 I’ve been feeling uncomfortable and like my organs are squishing for a few weeks now
  • Uncomfortable and lungs not having room, plus sore all along rib cage, starting at just under 17 weeks.

  • Glad I'm not just imagining it!
  • 18 weeks. Starting to get the feeling that there's something in my belly, like hardness/tightness. Also started getting some pain from muscles stretching. But I still can't see any difference.
There getting up to pee at night has started. And I'm having more trouble getting and staying comfy in bed. I pulled out my pregnancy pillow but I told and turn a lot and it's impossible to take it with me when I roll. I haven't decided if it's helping our making my hips hurt worse.

  • My belly has popped in the last week and I'm suddenly looking obviously pregnant, so I've had quite a few growing pains as my little one has moved up over an inch this week alone.

Mainly I've been suffering with second trimester low blood pressure. At my last midwife appointment my bp was much lower than usual but still just in the normal range, she said I need to make sure that I drink plenty. I have been trying to keep myself hydrated but I've found that if I get even a bit dehydrated I very quickly can get spells of being lightheaded or will feel generally unwell and fatigued sometimes nauseous. So this week has been a constant cycle of drinking and going to the bathroom.
  • @cornichonmam I will join you on team low blood pressure/lightheaded it's for sure no fun
  • @EErin86 if your getting dehydrated overnight I'd recommend getting a humidifier. I'm on holiday at the moment and I had to get one her because the AC makes the air so dry I was waking up every 2 hours desperately thirsty.
  • @cornichonmam oooooooo thanks! I never would have thought about that
  • On top of the fatigue and the belly stretching pains, I found myself cleaning, organizing and tossing out things at random hours of the day and night this weekend. Most be nesting all ready. Anyone else?
  • @sarah-ruby-21 Yup! We cleaned a bunch of random stuff this weekend including the pantry in the kitchen. I also washed all our scarves and winter gear to put away.
