SUA (Singular Unbilical Artery)

Hey Everyone!

So I went into my 20 week ultra sound appointment and we just got our results. The doctor told me I have Singular Ubilical Artery (there are usually 2 artery's and 1 vein) They are concerned about the baby's growth and I will be going back for another ultra screen. Has any other women gone through this? I know very little and if anyone had gone through this I would love to hear your story.

    @lindsaym2106 - No experience here but I just wanted to say I'm sorry you're dealing with this stress and uncertainty. When is your next scan? Again, I'm sorry you're going through this, I really hope your doctor can give you a good plan moving forward that brings some reassurance.

     Not me but a friend years ago did, her daughter was/is fine!

    Not me but a good friends daughter in law and another good friends sister had this. Both babies are completely healthy. I think they just had to go through extra monitoring. I’m sorry you’re dealing with this!

    Not me, but a few women I know had this happen and have healthy babies. They will likely monitor you more for the baby’s growth, like you said, so you are in good hands. Hopefully it won’t prevent you from having a typical pregnancy and birth.
