I have 3 boys, Aiden, Logan and Keegan. They are 9-14 so we have lots of boy names taken up by their friends. The boys like the idea of keeping with the two syllable name ending with 'n' for our surprise baby boy #4. We've been thinking seriously about Roren, but every time I mention the name to a friend, they give me a weird look and suggest other names. Thoughts???
I have never heard this name before. It doesn't exist on nameberry, and it's a user submitted feminine Japanese name on Nameberry. It sounds like you're trying to mash Rory together with Soren, and it doesn't work well.
Colin Brian cillian Conan Declan
Dorian Eamon Finn Finian Finnegan Kevin Kieran Orinn Owen Ronan Rordan Rowan Ryan Sean Teirnan Tristan
It was a name from my eldest's favorite book series, inheritance by paolini. They spelled it roran but same pronunciation. Uggh. I personally like Declan Finnegan and Landon, too but my husband and boys don't. Sounds like Roren is too odd though...
It sounds made up. Your other boys have popular names so it would be very odd man out. I like a lot of the previous suggestions. You mentioned your boys and husband don’t like some of them— find something that you and husband like but I don’t think the siblings should have much say.
That's the problem with taking a name from a fantasy series. People will think it sounds completely made up... because it is. Roran is a great character in the Inheritance series, though!
I agree with the posts above. Use a more traditional name, and don't give the 3 older boys quite as much say!
I’m going to be the odd mad out here and say that I really like Roren. I think it is a beautiful name. Also, this is your decision. Your friends don’t have to like it.
This is why we don’t tell people our kids names before we name them- once you love a name and name your child that name- it’s your normal and no one will give you a weird look (to your face) when your holding your baby right there before their eyes! We have a family member named Suren- (Sir-en) which I have always liked.

I would go with Roman or maybe Holden?
Roren is growing on me the more I say it, but I do like Ronan and Rowan.
