  • How far along are you/how big is baby?
26 weeks. Kale, work gloves or poor Yorick. Not sure I'm crazy about the Shakespeare reference this week, a little macabre when referring to a baby, but whatever.

    How are you feeling?
Good. Still working out. Still constantly peeing and considering just moving into my bathroom full time during 3rd tri because it will get worse as babe smashes more things.

    Rants/raves/questions?
Question for veterans of labor and delivery, thoughts on creating a push playlist? I ran into a woman last week who is due any day and she mentioned she had created one. Hadn't even crossed my mind until then. Did any of you have one? If so, was it helpful? Did you mix up the kind of music or did you just throw all your favs together?

    Any appointments this week?
Tomorrow. Regular appointment and may or may not have the glucose test. If I don't have it tomorrow then I'll have it in two weeks. In either case my appointment is first thing which means I fear the scale just a little bit less since I won't have a whole day of eating and drinking water in me yet. Haha!

GTKY: any holiday plans this weekend?
My mom wants me to go to an Easter sunrise service at my brother's cemetery with her. DH and I don't usually do the church thing, and while I'm not against going to a service, the thought of going to one at the cemetery bothers me. Especially since I know my brother would have hated it. Still undecided in what I'm going to do. Then later we're having lunch at my grandparents house, which means DH and I will eat before hand because my grandmother is the worst cook in the world.

  • @noideawhatshesdoing Totally relate to eating before a family gathering. I have a grandmother like that and so does DH!

How far along are you/how big is baby?
    25 weeks! Cauliflower

    How are you feeling?
Really good just really tired. My bronchitis seems to have cleared so that's good! I'm noticing its harder to bend over - everything feels really squished and tight when I put my shoes on. That's all I can think of right now.

    Rants/raves/questions?
    not at the moment...

    Any appointments this week?
nope. No appointments until April 20 which will be GD and 28 week appointment.

GTKY: any holiday plans this weekend?
We are getting together with DHs family Saturday night and my family Sunday afternoon. One of the perks of having family close - we get to spend time with both families without having to travel! We both have tomorrow off so hopefully we will get some things done around the house (like finally clearly out the unfinished basement and making a plan to finish it).

How far along are you/how big is baby? I am 23 weeks today. Baby is a papaya/grapefruit today.

    How are you feeling?
I am feeling ok physically. But worried about upcoming appointments.

    Rants/raves/questions?
questions? Where’s do I start?!  I was told on Monday that baby girl looks like she has a cleft lip and they are referring me to a maternal fetal medicine doctor. I read the report when it was posted online and the report says there is also a possible cleft palate and the lateral ventricles were in the upper limit said of normal and need to be followed. So of course I am freaking out.

    Any appointments this week?
Not this week. I have my next ob checkup on Monday and then the appointment with the MFM specialist the following Monday.

GTKY: any holiday plans this weekend?
We do Easter at my parents’ house. Lunch and Easter egg hunt. So it should be fun. Both my parents know about the issues, but I haven’t told my brothers/sisters in law yet. The SIL I’m closest with is also pregnant so I don’t want to alarm her too much.
  • @noideawhatshesdoing - I played Pandora while I was at home in labor during my first one, and my husband played Spotify or something while I was at labor in the hospital for my second one. It just soothes me. Took my mind off of the contractions. But during the actual delivery, I did not have anything playing.

@MrsMiller8588 - yay for no more bronchitis!

@angleyeskkhr - I am so sorry. I know a lot of people on the other threads have said it's "easy" to fix. So I hope that's the case! I would be freaking out too.

How far along are you/how big is baby?
I am 26 weeks today. Kale, double gulp.

    How are you feeling?
I feel good. Some days I feel tired of being pregnant (this is my third pregnancy in three/four years. First two are 15 months apart, and these last two will be 22 months apart).

    Rants/raves/questions?
    Not this week.

    Any appointments this week?
Monday is my regular OB appt. Taking my glucose test.

GTKY: any holiday plans this weekend?
Like @MrsMiller8588 both of our families live close. So on Friday, we are doing an Easter Egg hunt at my parent's and then going to Good Friday service. On Sunday, we will go to church and then my in-laws for dinner/whatever they planned. They go all out for Easter. My FIL sent an email to us saying that they invited 50 people this year.
  • Yes I’ve read it’s “easy” to fix. But by easy, it’s still multiple expensive surgeries. I know it’s not as bad as it could be, and I’m trying to just wait and see what the specialists will say and figure out the severity so we can formulate a plan.

@noideawhatshesdoing I literally wanted no noises at all once transition hit. Maybe a little before that. DH would be like, "How are you? what do you need?" and I would be like, "Shut the f**k up." So I am not sure that music would have really been my jam. I had like a little mantra in my head and a picture in my head too that I would focus on and repeat (This is dumb, but it was a comic with a corgi and a manatee floating and the manatee was wearing a Christmas hat and there was a lettuce between them, and I thought of that comic and said, "Lettuce be merry" every time I was having a contraction) once the contractions got super bad and I think music that was constantly different would have been hard for me.
  • How far along are you/how big is baby? 23 weeks! Box of Mac and Cheese/Fertility Idol

    How are you feeling?
Heartburny. My butt feels way better though, so there is that. I missed my prenatal two days in a row (whoops) and I took them yesterday and today and haven't pooped yet, so hopefully that happens tomorrow.

    Rants/raves/questions?
Coffee seems to be giving me Braxton Hicks. Its kind of annoying. But I usually also am drinking coffee in the car and I used to get BH a lot in the car last time around so maybe its just the car and not the caffeine.

    Any appointments this week?
Nope, Monday regular midwife appt and fetal echo a week from tomorrow.

GTKY: any holiday plans this weekend?
We are hosting Easter lunch...ham, scalloped potatoes, veggies, wine (for the lucky non pregnant ones), easter egg hunt. We will dye the eggs Saturday. My dad leaves right after we eat and is moving back to Indiana, so this will be our last weekend with him, although I'll see him end of April.
  • @SmashJam That is a really funny mental image! I'm on the fence about the music thing, thinking maybe I'll bring it just in case and if it's annoying just shut the darn thing off. But it will have to be far away from me so I don't shut it off by throwing it across the room.

  • How far along are you/how big is baby? 25 weeks, a baseball glove, or a cauliflower

    How are you feeling?
way better than last week... taking it day by day thought

    Rants/raves/questions?
Rant... What is it about seeing a pregnant woman that make people completely disregard any form of social manners. three times in 3 days I had 2 different people comment on how I "popped and am big now" how they cant get up the stairs without being winded and " don't know who wi can handle it" and simply stating " woah big baby".... Lets be real the you're big comment stopped being a compliment at 10 years old.

    Any appointments this week?
Nope not this week. Just glucose test Saturday morning.

GTKY: any holiday plans this weekend?

  • @noideawhatshesdoing  I have heard of people making playlists but I didn't do it. I wanted to but forgot about it first time around.

  • @wysmom14 Super annoying that people do that. Had a lady at the gym do that to me last night. She practically yelled across the dance studio "You've gotten so big! Last time I saw you, you were barely showing." I just responded "Yup. Having a baby will do that, they tend to grow".  I know she genuinely didn't mean "wow, you got all fat" but I don't comment on her waistline, so she shouldn't comment on mine.
  • @SmashJam yes!!!! The heartburn/acid reflux will. not. end!!! It’s horrible and starting sooo much earlier than the first time around.
  • @noideawhatshesdoing exactly, its just not cool.  I know its all baby but still the hormones are real this time around lol.
