What did you do this week to stay fit? I honestly had a pretty lousy week this week. Early in the week I had bad MS so I only made it to the gym twice. But I have started to feel better the last couple of days so I’m hoping the next week will be better!
What questions do you have about staying fit during pregnancy? Do you track your heart rate when working out? I was when I first got pregnant (actually have been for the last few years) but my Fitbit broke a couple of weeks ago and I haven’t purchased a new one. Any recommendations on a new Fitbit or a different HR monitor?
Any good healthy recipes to share this week? I was finally able to cook last night! I think I have cooked one other time in the past 6.5 weeks, DH has had to do most of it. I made this baked chicken Parmesan, and I even made some steamed broccoli with it (and was able to eat it...veggies have been my worst food aversion).
What did you do this week to stay fit? Orange theory 2x and 1 5k run. Still not as much as I would like but better than a few weeks ago.
What questions do you have about staying fit during pregnancy? what exercises are totally off limits?! @spartan4life I use a heart rate monitor. They say workout so you can still hold a conversation comfortably. So that's what I am for. I use the one at OTF or my apple watch.
Any good healthy recipes to share this week? Same, just had chicken parm tonight! Although no steamed broccoli lol just bread and salad. But sooo good!
@halfanewt That oatmeal looks so good, thanks for sharing! I only have an instructor for spinning so I don’t plan to tell her until she notices, and DH is my workout partner so he already knows . If I had a trainer I would tell them sooner rather than later so they can safely modify the workouts.
@Laumb11 When I talked with my doctor she said the only things really off limits are things that make you over heat too much like hot yoga. She also said no heavy lifting or anything that leaves me on my back for too long. Other than that, she approved anything I was currently doing (just using lighter weights).
What did you do this week to stay fit? Spin and aqua cycle. I had two successful runs this week and didn’t vomit! My times were slower which is a bummer but I’m trying to get in the mindset that it’s about the movement, not the time.
What questions do you have about staying fit during pregnancy? I’ve found an aerial and bungee studio that I want to try but probably shouldn’t? Probably best to wait until postpartum. Also, does anyone have any prenatal yoga you tube videos they enjoy?
Any good healthy recipes to share this week? Obsessed with nice cream. 2 frozen bananas, 1 cup frozen strawberries, a few frozen blueberries, 1 cup frozen mango, 1/4 cup plant based milk (I use almond because that’s the taste I prefer). Blend away!
@mesamyt that nice cream sounds delicious!! What did you do this week to stay fit? Im on vacation and hiking in the forest every day. It’s been lovely.
What questions do you have about staying fit during pregnancy? Also curious what’s totally off limits and when? OB makes it sound like the main risk is falling, so that makes a lot seem pretty safe.
Any good healthy recipes to share this week? nope. Eating like I’m on vacation!!
What did you do this week to stay fit? Walk around the block with my son a few times. I know.. weak. My nausea is finally getting better . I've been having some cramping and since I've had 3 losses last year I'm keeping it easy until 12 weeks. We just set up a gym downstairs so I'm excited to run on our new treadmill. What questions do you have about staying fit during pregnancy? None really.
Any good healthy recipes to share this week? I made this last night. It's a Korean dish called jap chae. Healthy as long as you don't put too much sugar. It's really popular amongst all my non Korean friends and I made it for the daycare teachers and they raved about it asking for the recipe.

Finally feeling like I can move again! One run, one aerial class, couple rounds of Pilates

When did you (or will) start telling your trainers/workout buddies?

Tried this baked oatmeal for the first time this week. Tastes good, reheats well, and very filling! https://cookieandkate.com/2016/baked-oatmeal-recipe/
@Laumb11 I know you want to start skipping lots of flexion work (sit-ups and such) to avoid diastasis - other than that, maybe things like hot yoga?
