Trying to Get Pregnant

**This is a thread that welcomes all regardless of where they are at in their TTC journeys. Please be mindful of topics that are discussed that could be hurtful to those going through tough times. Mention of children or pregnancies of others should have a TW and be in a spoiler if possible, and only be mentioned if it is extremely pertinent to the conversation. R/R:

I found an app which is linked to another app I have today which has significantly helped my focus and therefore my progress on my thesis. I already use the "Todist" app for all my follow up actions for work. Now I found "Flat Tomato" app where you can apply the pomodoro technique, but choose your own work and break regime to suit you. And it imports tasks from Todist as well as from your iphone tasks.

It hasn't changed how much work I still need to do, but has helped me break it down and make me more accountable for my progress so far.

Oh and this morning I also guided the first landscaping company around our garden and hope we can get the quote back end of next week from them.

CS/Q: Nothing to see so far.

GTKY: If you could join any past or current music group which would you want to join?

I would probably go for Heart. Old rock chick here.

@meri-mac so pleased everything is ok at work.

@emmasemm Glad you found something to make your thesis more manageable. I am a bit of an Anglophile, but have never watched anything with Alan Titchmarsh. I hear him referenced all the time on Qi, 8 out of 10 cats, etc. Can't wait to see your beautiful new garden!

@LemonofBluebell Thanks! I'm so sorry for the delayed promotion. Hopefully, it will happen sooner rather than later. I know how tough it can be dealing with a micromanager. All you can do is keep your head down and breathe when they interfere. Is YH a good singer and/or dancer?

@Stargazer1lily Sorry about your puppy's teeth. Fx it won't be too expensive!

@meladams10 Fx for a positive OPK! I'm totally with you on the Spice Girl front. I still know all the lyrics to their songs. Enjoy your weekend!

    Month/Cycle: 9/10

CD: AF hasn’t started fully yet, but temps are down and I started spotting.

    WAYDTGKU: OPKs, CoQ10

R/R: Rant: I’m super disappointed about this cycle. We have family from Switzerland staying with us for 2 weeks soon and it will be right during O. It’s going to make it really tough to get all the timing in. Last month we only got -3 and 0 and I’m really wanting to get -2 and -1 in this time. Also, DH wants to go to Vegas with his cousins from Switzerland and it might be during O. I don’t want him to go, but I want him to be able to be able to spend time with family and do something for himself. I’m just so torn. Rave: It’s supposed to be really warm this weekend! I’m so tired of the cold so it couldn’t come at a better time.

CS/Q: I don’t think I’m going to be temping this cycle. I’m taking a lot of days off work so I don’t want to wake up early if I don’t have to. My control freak side doesn’t like the idea of not knowing what’s going on though. I really love temping and seeing all the data.

GTKY: If you could join any past or current music group which would you want to join? Probably Radiohead.

@lemonofbluebell Micro managers are the absolute worst! I’m so sorry you are dealing with a boss like that. My old boss was always hovering and I eventually applied for a new job because of it. My new boss is the exact opposite and it’s also frustrating.

  • @eleven_ Ugh! That's so annoying how the universe just happens to line up your visiting family with your FW. I'm going through that same type of situation. Hopefully everything will work out for you this cycle.
  • @lemonofbluebell I actually opted to take a side step instead of a step forwards at work when we first thought it might not be so easy and in order to make it more practical to manage when successful (as I travelled a lot in my previous roles). At times when the journey has been tough and I'm wondering if it will ever work I sometimes question myself. But overall I believe we would not have made progress in treatment so far if I had not changed roles, nor would I be able to do the next planned treatments. So maybe the universe is saving your energy to spend on personal instead of career stuff. What I did to make sure I didn't feel like I was making no progress was to get onto our Executive MBA program. So I'll be even more qualified when I do want to move again.

@meladams10 yay to last day of work today! And LP length should not vary if you O earlier or later.

@meri-mac there is a "Love your garden" show we found from Alan Titchmarsh now on Netflix. DH is addicted :-)

@eleven_ that's a bugger with the timing. Maybe it will spice up FW though - like being teenagers again!!!

R/R: rant: my in laws are coming to town next month and I ALWAYS start my period when they come to town. It's really freaky. I just checked and, yes, af is due during their visit. I know I'm acting crazy and superstitious but I'm half convinced I'm already out this cycle lol. Rave: my thermometer came in yesterday! I feel better about ttc since I'm able to do something every morning.

CS/Q: weird q- I have a wonky/tilted uterus. I've been trying to figure out cp and I wasn't sure if I just need to practice more or if my titled uterus will make it harder/difficult to determine?

GTKY: If you could join any past or current music group which would you want to join? It would probably be the weepies. Or the postal service. Or a musical like les mis or wicked.

His brother and dad have gone and this will be a big step towards helping him and improving our marriage since his anxiety has been a negative factor for us.

@emmasem What is your thesis on?

@LemonofBluebell I am so sorry to hear about your job! That’s really crappy.

@Stargazer1lily I’m sorry about your dog! What does it need done. Mine had tonhave a tooth extracted recently because it was infected. Then she was on antibiotics for a while.

@meladams10 I am still in the no positive OPK group as well. Ugh! Still getting EWCM so maybe it’s close. I use to love watching Spice World! So did my brothers, but for different reasons.

@eleven_ If you guys BD before he goes to Vegas would that be close enough to O? It only takes one sperm!

@rocketmom88 I have yet to figure out how to check my cervix, though today and yesterday I think I got it! It just weirds me out mostly. Sorry. I know that wasn’t helpful! I’m not sure how the uterus would affect it, if it does.

Bad migraine at work all afternoon, then came home and my dog ate a raisin so I got to spend $65 on the aspca poison control line and try to make him throw up, which he didnt do, so now we get to keep an eye on him for 48 hours and take him to the vet tomorrow for baseline bloodwork so they have something to compare it to if he starts showing symptoms. • @rocketmom88 That is one AF symptom I haven't heard. Hopefully, they are nice in-laws. FX for you this cycle.

@amandagfarris I had bad social anxiety particularly during my teaching years. It was not the profession for me despite opinions to the contrary. Talking to someone really helped, but also *NERD ALERT* playing Dungeons & Dragons helped. Talking in front of a group of people was difficult, let alone playing a part. After 2 years of nerding it up, I am able to do a Southern accent with a lisp without blushing or claming up. I hope your husband feels better after talking to someone.

@AdorkablePixie Thanks! I can't really sing or dance either. Luckily, I can play an instrument  :p

@fantasyflyte Hope your puppers is okay. Best not to take any chances!

@erinbh I am probably very late to the party on this, but I had never heard of the Ava bracelet. I am a bit Type A as well so I will have to look into it.

  • @AdorkablePixie Not sure yet till we bring him in but H noticed his gums were swollen.
  • Hi ladies, thank you all for chiming in about the work situation! Today is a new day, and I’m starting to feel a bit better with time. My app is being wonky and shutting down every minute so it deleted my individual tags (argh!) but I really, really appreciate the support. Thanks!!!

Ok, I’m going to try reinstalling to see if it fixes the app issue...
