WTF Wednesday

I just needed to start this because... seriously WTF?! We had a mysterious package left at our school this morning/over night AND a bomb threat. With everything going on in Austin, we had to divert all students to the high school. We were at the high school all of 10 minutes before the all clear was given. WTF goes through someones mind to pull a stunt like this?!?

My smaller WTF is that I had to wait an HOUR in the waiting room at the OBs office yesterday... for a blood draw. JUST A BLOOD DRAW. The front desk forgot to let the lab tech know I was waiting... for an hour... >:0

@middleschoolmommy I work in a school district too so I totally get that. People are so careless and things in this world these days are just so scary! This morning on my way in I saw three police cars pulling into the elementary school and it instantly worried me, even though they were there for something so simple like directing traffic. Also, an hour is just not right! How frustrating.

My WTF is to my boss today. There is a lot of snow coming. We called a half day for the schools. I get that you have budget things to work on, but that's no need to make us stay the whole day when the rest of the district gets a half day! It's just as unsafe to make us drive home later and plus I want to make sure I can get into my driveway! If we lose power before I get home to fill up the bathtub I am going to be SO MAD!

@middleschoolmommy that's terrifying. Absolutely freaking terrifying. As for your OB, thats unacceptable. How can they just forget?

@tessiesmom26 stay safe driving home if they make you stay all day. This storm is not messing around.

As for me - my OB called with my beta results from yesterday but it came through on my caller ID as some eye doctor so I assumed it was a wrong number and ignored it. All they said was they wanted to redo the draw tomorrow to ensure its rising appropriately since it was still on the low side but they didn't tell me what the number actually was so of course now I'm thinking it's really low. This happened with DD too and the warned me yesterday I may need to come back but dammit, give me the number so I can appropriately stress. I called back and left a message on the extension for lab results but they're closing in less than 2 hours so I'm not overly optimistic about hearing back today.

@goldie987 So frustrating! I'm also waiting to hear back from the lab! They wouldn't tell me the results over the phone until the doctor "reviews them".

I just got a phone call from the office, so I got excited thinking they will be telling me my hcg level... nope. It was an auto recording to confirm my appointment NEXT FREAKING TUESDAY. WTF?!

@middleschoolmommy that is so scary! Glad everything is ok, but 10 minutes sure seems short to give an all clear.

@goldie987 why do they close so early!? Hoping they give you a call back to put your mind at ease!

@tessiesmom26 Hope you guys somehow get to go home early. These storms sound crazy!

@middleschoolmommy - that is so scary. One of my biggest fears about sending DS to school when he's old enough. I'm glad everything was ok. I would also be VERY annoyed to wait an hour because they forgot about me. Hopefully it was just a one time thing and you'll have a good experience there from here on out.

@goldie987 - Ugh I'm sorry you missed them. I hope you hear back from them today and the level is ok. Maybe it's still a little low but doubling ok? FX for you!

@tessiesmom26 - ugh that's frustrating. I hope the weather isn't as bad as they expect and you make it home safely!

My WTF is to my brain. WhyTF can't I sleep?! Since my BFP I am having tons of dreams and having a hard time falling back asleep when I wake up at 2-4am. I don't feel like I'm hardly getting any deep sleep and I feel like a zombie.

@mockingjay1 Ugh, I hear you on the sleep! I am normally a great sleeper but since my BFP I have had a hard time falling and staying asleep. Hope you get some rest soon!

@mockingjay1 and @tessiesmom26 I can't fall and/or stay asleep either. I have been getting in bed at 8 pm (this is amazing in itself considering I have two littles) and I still can't fall asleep. Trying to do lights out by 9, but I'm lucky if I'm asleep by 11. I wake up 3 times to pee at least, once to nurse, and once to get DD fixed when she inevitably crawls into our bed every night. I used to be able to pass out almost immediately and could instantly fall asleep after a wake up. Those days are gone.

Thanks ladies. They're closing early today bc of the snowstorm which I get, most places were closed all day so I was surprised they opened at all. They did call back and I have a new WTF Wednesday:
Who the eff leaves a message saying HCG was a little low so we want to retest when it's 356 at 4+2? That's not low, that's exactly where it should be. They still want me back in tomorrow but it's out of an abundance of caution as they like to see it at least at 500 before scheduling a dating scan.

@middleschoolmommy why are they already confirming an appointment for next Tuesday? That seems really early for a confirmation call.

@mockingjay1 @tessiesmom26 @wannaflickone I've been up from 2-4 the past few nights and it sucks. Solidarity.

@goldie987 - oh my goodness! I'm sure you were stressed until you heard the numbers... 356 is great for 4+2!!!! I'm sorry they scared you but yay for good news!!

I'm sorry so many of you are having sleep issues too. It sucks!

I know I'm impatient.... but WTF?! They still haven't called! I know they have the results, because of earlier phone conversation. I just want to know my hcg level! It's driving me crazy.The first trimester was just as nerve-racking with my first pregnancy... its SO much better once I can feel little one moving around.... I can't wait for 2nd trimester!

@middleschoolmommy - Ugh I'd be impatient too. My office doesn't usually call with results until 230-330 and it's so hard to wait. FX you hear back soon! And I agree, it's so reassuring when you can feel them moving vs now you just hope and pray everything is ok.

My wtf is for all the people who think they are so entitled. I got yelled at by three different people today for things that were seriously their own fault. But no one can ever own up to their mistakes and take responsibility so I got the brunt of it. I am way too hormonal and emotional for this crap. People just really need to get over themselves and quit expecting everything to be handed to them when they can’t figure it out!!
