I wanted to get some new shoes for Spring and decided to look into the Tieks ballet flats. I was ready to drop around $100, but wtf! They are closer to $200! Does anyone have a pair? Are they worth the price?

spring may technically be arriving, but we're getting another 6-12 inches of snow Wednesday!

@galactickates what does SS mean? I've seen it a couple times but haven't been able to figure it out.

@eleven_ I've never owned them but friends of mine who do RAVE about them. I can't bring myself to justify the price, but they do come highly recommended and with a bit of a cult following.

@eleven_ I've heard great things about tieks, I don't own any myself. I've considered investing in a pair because I LOVE ballet flats, but the price has always been a deterrent. Let me know how they are if you get a pair!

I really like rockport for ballet flats. I have 3 pairs and they occasionally go on sale for under $100.

@dreamscapes_ That is what is supposed to be so great about Tieks. They have shock absorbers on the bottom so they are really comfortable. I love ballet flats so much, but they just seem so outrageously priced.

@eleven_ It's not so much the shock absorbency. I have a fusion between two of the bones in my right foot, which causes it to not move the way it should, since it's not a joint. So I have to wear orthotics in my shoes to prevent that part of my foot from moving. They take up half of the room in my regular gym shoes, so I'm sure I'd have no room in something like these, lol.

@ladystout08 lol that’s exactly what I said in wto today. We’re in the same boat and I am sooo over it.

@LJMoon6 I’ve always been a Harry girl myself. He has turned into such a handsome guy, which was not necessarily apparent when he was younger. I always liked that he was edgier than William. Anyway, same.
ETA: Also, no one told us Americans had a shot with the princes??? I’m standing by the fact that Meghan cheated and that’s why he’s not with me instead.

Watching tv today and thought it is never raining on tv for no reason. It’s always because they need the plot device of the power going out, and most likely the further plot device of two people with sexual tension getting stuck in an elevator together. And then that’s exactly what happened on my show.

I overheard a conversation today at work about whether or not someone was having their daughter get the HPV vaccine and she said that her doctor at a Catholic clinic said he didn't do it because he "doesn't vaccinate against bad choices" and my brain nearly exploded. Basically everyone is going to have sex at some point and over 50% of the population has HPV and it causes cancer, but a doctor thinks it's just about making bad choices??

@rosebud332 I missed your comment yesterday. I think it's the beard that's made him more attractive. Harry is sssoooo handsome! I've always had a thing for red heads though lol. And yes the edgier rebel child in him is super attractive. I also think it's amazing that he was in the army for 10 years!!

I was on another site and it made me wish we had a general board. Where site wide we could do randoms and FFFCs and UOs. Our U/O thread is always so boring but I think it's because we are such a small group and no one wants all the attention on themselves. Plus I really miss some of the grads and I would enjoy chatting with them. It would be so much more entertaining too

Has it always been so segregated here? I saw there was a chit chat board but it was dead. That would be a good place for it.
