I'm 12.5 weeks and the nausea is lessening. It's more of a low constant throughout the day with a bit of spike with activity or in the evening. It's pretty easy to "fix" now by chewing cinnamon gum or sipping Ginger ale and those things wouldn't have helped significantly a couple of weeks ago. I can go a little longer between snacks with out feeling awful but still have to be careful to not go too long. More heartburn but not too bad yet. More headaches, but again, not too bad. Fatigue and constant need to nap is about the same, except I have an occasional hour or 2 that I feel almost perky somedays. My boobs don't hurt as badly either, which is nice, but I think I'm getting some round ligament pains which I don't remember getting last time. Sharp pains around the sides of the uterus when I cough or move fast. Usually just on one side at a time. Just quick stabby/pully pain that goes away after just a few seconds. Like between the uterus and the hip bone, sorta.
Headaches and very hungry all the time. 15+2 today. Also fatigue has come back somewhat, especially when I overexert myself.

16 weeks today and my fatigue is back, or I guess still here. Since I never had MS, I didn’t get the feeling of relief when I entered the second trimester like many people get. I just have new little symptoms so I feel worse! Lots of random muscle pain and soreness in my back and front, and I’m sooo tiiiired as usual. I got a little more energy so I felt motivated to buy actual ingredients and not just prepared foods, so I’ll be planning to cook this week. Hopefully I have the energy after work.
First instance of heartburn today. Yay tums!! It seemed to be from having an empty stomach, so I guess I'll just have to eat more. Yay.

My nose seems to have gotten the memo that I'm pregnant at 12 weeks. It's starting to look puffy and wider. Plus my sinuses are out of whack, but I can't decide if that's pregnancy or pollen.
MS is still tapering off and food cravings are starting to be around more, which is just flat out amazing to me. I wasn't expecting to feel consistently human until 20 weeks again.
+1 with the headaches, I finally took Tylenol when I got home and now feel better. Hoping I don't come down with whatever DS is getting over. Just tired after a draining weekend.
Heartburn is creeping up especially at night, will probably talk to the NP about prilosec dosing at my next appointment because I do not want to have as much heartburn as I did the first time around (even if kiddo comes out with a ton of hair).
So. Much. Heartburn. I asked my OB how many Tums are safe to take per day and she said, "I don't know, fifteen?" Thank goodness! I'm only at like four per day.
@adirat well that’s a relief! I am 3-4 a day too. Heartburn is terrible in the evening. You and I are having very similar pregnancies, which is interesting to me. How is your MS this week?
@klj0228 I know! It's eerie how similar. Unfortunately, no improvements here yet... last night I barfed up everything I ate all afternoon/evening. All-day nausea when I'm not vomiting. Is yours getting better?
@adirat I did get a little break for a couple days and felt mostly good this morning, but went to walk the dog this evening and had to actually call DH to come get the dog for me because I was “feeding” the grass down the street. The nausea is pretty much a constant, though. I’m only 12+2 today so I’m not surprised it’s still around. I’m preparing myself for it to be through 20 weeks and if it ends sooner it will be a surprise!
Add me to the headaches list, off and on, couple times a week, pure pain. Sometimes they just go away, sometimes tylenol works, sometimes nothing works. My ob recommended taking magnesium oxide, 400-800mg 2-3x a day and seeing if that helped. I’ll keep you posted, we picked some up on our way home from the appt.
I’ve been deaing w heartburn for a while, had to stop and count out my tums so I wouldn’t go over the recommended amount (my ob said 5).
Finaly discovered gum for the times I’m wueasy from my mouth tasting weird, but can’t stomach brushing my teeth or trying to eat/drink something else. ...now I am out of gum...

I am hobbling around like an old lady when I get up after being seated because my tailbone pain is so bad! I have mentioned this before but it's definitely gotten worse the past week. I've tried some yoga stretches and they're not helping. I also broke out my coccyx pillow from my last pregnancy because I had this issue last time too, although I don't think it was an issue until the third tri. I have a checkup tomorrow and am planning to ask my doctor what else I can do.

13.5 weeks and I'm experiencing cramps in my lower left lower pelvis area. I forgot to ask the midwife about them last week. Anyone else experiencing these?
15 weeks and had some one that didn’t already know I was pregnant congratulate me just based on my belly. I’m surprised it took this long to be honest. I guess those baggy shirts were working better than I thought.
However, fun new symptoms: (1) Having to pee like six times a night. I know I need to drink water, but I also need sleep. (2) Sharp shooting round ligament pains. (3) Headaches in the afternoon--not sure if this is pregnancy or too-much-screen-time related, so I purchased some blue light blocking glasses. We'll see how those work.

If I had a stranger congratulate me solely based on my belly, I would probably tell them I wasn't pregnant.
I had a neighbor congratulate me based on my bump with DS, but I was past the halfway point and they know what I usually look like so I was ok with it.

@nackie if someone noticed my pregnant belly I'd be static! I usually wear baggier clothes so you can't really tell yet. I'm getting cute maternity clothes next week!
Im 14w3d and my boobs hurt big time. Not sore. Actual pain. Especially the nipples. Getting maternity bras soon. When i sneeze or gag my nipples hurt so much. I cant sleep unless i drink water and then it's endless trips to the bathroom. If i wake up on my back, my little belly puts pressure on my bladder and then peeing hurts. Everything hurts. Love hurts.
I congratulated someone at work the other day based on their belly. They looked about 35 weeks pregnant and I know them from outside of work and know they don’t usually look like that yet I still felt so nervous she was going to say she wasn’t pregnant or just had the baby or something. 2 days after I had my last baby I went to the chiropractor without any kids and the receptionist said “still waiting eh?” I literally wanted to crawl in a hole and die that day and immediately left crying due to hormones even though I knew I still did look pregnant. I should have learned from that alone never to comment on a pregnant woman’s belly no matter how obvious!

I just asked my midwife about these. Since I have a history of cysts, she wants me to bring it up at the A/S US in a couple of weeks. She's thinking it might be a cyst. Is yours in the same spot each time?
@SkilledSailor Same spot everytime. In Oct/Nov before I was pregnant I was having pain in this same area as well but pain is sharper now. At that time I had an U/S done and they found nothing abnormal. I just have NT ultrasound last week. Everything looked great with baby, uterus, ovaries etc...
I'm starting centering appointments so I will see the midwife next week. May just wait until then. MH of course wants me to call now to ask.
@jaylii If it makes your H feel better, all they plan to do for me if it is a cyst is come up with a pain management plan. Most cysts go away on their own with no problems.
I've been in denial the last several days, but DH and I had sex several days ago now, and that seems to be what set off what seems to be the start of very icky SPD this pregnancy. it started about 19 ish weeks last time. I'm at 15+4 now. I was hoping that because I'm not riding horses this time that I may be able to avoid the worst of it, postpone it a bit, but apparently not. Sad, because by the time I hit 35 weeks last time I was in constant pain, not really able to step up at all, getting up and down stairs was agony, and in and out of tub to shower was nearly impossible. I didn't really recover for 8-9 months after pregnancy last time, so I'm a bit scared to be that hindered again.
I'll be talking it over with my midwife in two weeks, in the meantime it's tons of squats for me, and wondering if physical therapy starting soon is an option...but also whether I could manage to even get there without my son. Who knows. Just having a rough moment here-I love being active and it's very depressing to me when just walking is painful, especially since I work on my feet.

@pourmeamocktail I'm sorry to hear that you are in pain again! For sure, get yourself into physical therapy ASAP! Try to manage that pain, girl. I experienced a serious back injury 2.5 years ago which left me with two herniated discs. Ten months of physical therapy later and my pain/condition has been pretty in control since. I am pretty nervous about going through my first pregnancy and whether I will start experiencing pain and sciatica again.
@srachilagani SAME - I am super thirsty all the time, but drinking lots of water results in multiple bathroom breaks each night. Also, this is completely random but every time I see your SN I think of sriracha and it makes me happy!
@pourmeamocktail *hugs* I'm in a similar boat with my tailbone pain starting earlier this time, and reaalllyyy hoping this baby won't be sitting on sciatic nerve like my last one was. My doctor did say she recommends PT as a first course of action, but also recommends acupuncture now to a lot of her patients. I just dealt with the pain during my first pregnancy but am glad to have some options this time around. Hope you are able to find a way to manage your pain in a way that works for you!

I haven't a clue whether Medicaid will approve physical therapy for SPD, and even if they do I'm not sure I can go. My toddler would not handle it, and I don't have a friend or neighbor who can take him once or twice a week, and husband doesn't get home dark enough to schedule for evenings, I can't regularly promise him home until 7. and I've never found a place that can see me after 5. Plus I work Wed, Thurs, Fri and can't take the time out of there either.
So maybe there's a place that takes Medicaid (lol in itself) that can see me Monday or Tuesday at 7:30 or 8 pm, or has like a gym childcare attached!
Not hopeful. I almost couldn't see a regular therapist for PPD after DS was born until I found someone that would let me bring him.

@pourmeamocktail that sounds tough, I'm sorry it's so difficult to coordinate care. I'm not sure about whether or not Medicaid would cover for physical therapy for SPD, I thought if there was a diagnosed/proven physical weakness/deficit that it justifies. Can you search YouTube for some stretches and exercises to help?

That's a good idea, I can check that out. I do know from last time that pretty much no stretching is a good idea, as it's too much looseness that's causing the issue. I know squats are good, I might be able to find something else.
The weird thing with Medicaid is with an issue that doesn't have a true diagnostic test or a true proven solution. Like, break your ankle, OK, sure, get pt no problem. But last time they couldn't suggest anything to of pre-or post birth that were "proven" treatments, and I couldn't get any coverage for acupuncture or chiropractor for SPD or trying to get a breech to turn-though if I could have found a doctor to agree to try a version to turn him they would have covered that.

I'm just going to hug you and yell in frustration and sympathy about Medicaid because it's such a PITA ❤
I have a random symptom that has been going on for a while. It is that my lower back itches, specifically at my epidural/spinal site(s?). I asked my Dr. about at my 12 week appointment and he seemed to have heard of it before and joked something about getting ready for another one....

Yes it is, but the alternative is really quite awful, and there are some ways in which it is amazing (like dealing with the $30,000 per day NICU stay...).
I'm very very grateful. I dearly wish our entire medical/insurance system wasn't broken, but I know that it is broken at every level, and I'm lucky to have Medicaid. Everyone has some sort of awful insurance issue as far as I can tell.

Got to see the babe last night due to some bright red bleeding, but everything looked fine and doc told me it's normal to bleed in the first trimester. I also found out I'm 13w6d today (whereas, I thought I was 13w2d), so spending my last day of this trimester with my feet up and long bath.
