My bedroom is upstairs, and the nursery is on the main level. Thus far the kids have either slept in a pack n play in our bedroom, or we have slept in the guest room (on the main level connected to the nursery). Does anyone sleep on a separate floor from your babies? I don't know why, but it freaks me out to be a whole floor away. Our house is a small bungalow, but a flight of stairs just seems... far. We have an alarm system and a 100lb dog, so it's not that I am afraid for safety reasons (although yes, I watch too much Law & Order) but it still scares me. Anyone?
Re: Nursery and your bedroom on different floors??
Nothing a little video monitor cant solve:)
Some days I would love it if my kids were on a different floor than me:)
We've got the same situation -- bungalow home, master on 2nd floor, nursery on first. ?The monitor is great. ?They stayed in our room until 2.5 months, and then they transitioned easily to their nursery.
It's actually quite nice
