Thankful Thursday 3/15

Re: Thankful Thursday 3/15

  • I am thankful for an understanding supervisor, a flexible Thursday without meetings, and for coffee (although I wish I could have an IV of it today).

My dog got sick around 2:30 am and continued a mix of vomiting foam and dry heaving until nearly 6 am. She randomly does this a couple times per year (vet is unsure if it’s allergies or reflux?) and it takes all of my energy to calm her down. I slept from 11:30-2:30 and then from 6-9:30. I’m exhausted but so thankful I can WFH in my PJs today. Yawn. I’m sticking with one cup of coffee but so wish I could have more right now.

Also, Lord help me when this baby comes and I’m up in the middle of the night soothing a kid. Should I be worried that I struggle with soothing my dog and seriously need more than 6 hours of sleep?!?

  • I'm so thankful for my man! I seriously don't know how the dude puts up with me. But he does and he keeps a smile on his face the whole time. I had a huge breakdown yesterday and he brought me out of it, enough to clean our room, start laundry I've been putting off for weeks, and even help him dry dishes while he washed them! He made me feel proud of myself once again even though what I did should be everyday tasks. It's been hard lately. I'm constantly exhausted. He's very understanding though and helps when he can. I'm not sure what I'd do without him.

Thankful for my man as well!! He did a store rub just for me after work yesterday because I really wanted a baked potato and some clementines (separately) and he went no complaints! He also switched pillows with me because his was just comfier even though we both know mine sucks.. and were off to his parents tonight but have to cut it short for a friends baby shower Saturday and has completely fine with that too!! Love him so much and so lucky he's been pretty cool with everything

So glad I’m not the only one worried about this!  My dog had surgery last week, and he doesn’t do well with anesthesia- which meant I spent four days cleaning up diarrhea- All over the house.  (He’s doing much better now!  Staples come out Monday.)

I think I’m going to keep a box of nitrile gloves on baby’s changing table.  Poop is so much less disgusting when you don’t actually get it on you....
  • As much as I've complained on here about DH, he really is amazing. I can be tough to deal with on a normal basis (on my wedding day my step dad made a comment to DH about him being able to put up with me). Add in pregnancy hormones and I'm a raging b***h one moment and lovey the next.

Last night I wanted a pretzel so bad, DH made it happen without question. We also finally enjoyed some "alone time" (it was Steak and BJ day  ;):D ) for the first time in over a week.
  • I’m thankful I don’t have to work today or cook dinner! DH winter boss is taking everyone out for steak! @sammierose464 we’ll have steak but my gag reflex is not on point right now much to DH disappointment so that’s not going to happen. Poor guy. He really has been great.
Im also thankful for cherry pop tarts and whipped Greek cream cheese right now. Absolutely delicious. Hey it’s fruit right?
  • I’m thankful for my daughters. They drive me crazy occasionally but nothing makes me feel better when I’m nauseous, hurly, and exhausted more than their smiles and hugs. They’re both so snuggly lately and it’s so wonderful.

  • I’m thankful I’ve had some good days this week. So thankful for the diclegis. I was even able to go grocery shopping today!!!!
  • @ladyofarlington I’m worried about the MOTN wakes and I’ve already been through it. I’m so much more tired, I’m genuinely concerned I’ll breakdown.

I’m thankful it’s Thursday, I’m getting my hair done tonight and the work week is almost over.
  • I am thankful my husband appreciates me even when I don't do much, like lately. Lol
I made dinner for him ready to go in the oven since I was going to be gone for the evening. He always says I don't have to do that and he does very well making things on his own. I had a little energy so I made dinner and he made sure to speak up and say he appreciated it. I was tearing up when I saw the message. Darn hormones!
  • SS6 was super lovey tonight and kept telling me how I'm an awesome bonus mommy. We have a book called "My Bonus Mom" and he asked me to read it before bed tonight. He was being so cute. I love it.
