What are you doing to stay fit? I have been trying to keep up with my normal morning workouts. Light weights and some cardio, but it is so hard to get up in the morning!
What is your favorite pregnancy safe workout this week? I made it to my spin class twice this week so that was my favorite workout of the week
Do you have a favorite healthy recipe to share this week? https://www.skinnytaste.com/skinny-buffalo-chicken-potato-skins/ I was craving buffalo wings this week so I made this shredded buffalo chicken. It’s so easy and can be used on anything...baked potatoes, sandwiches, DH likes it in tacos. I also love this website for lighter versions of all the comfort food I’m craving!
What are you doing to stay fit? Trying to just watch what I eat, but I'm going to my first ever Yoga class on Monday. 10+ years of owning yoga pants, and I'm finally gonna use them for their intended purpose What is your favorite pregnancy safe workout this week? Nothing to offer yet!
Do you have a favorite healthy recipe to share this week? Noooo but I'll think of something!
What are you doing to stay fit? trying to get to the gym 2-3x a week but it's been a challenge. Also the eating healthy part isn't working out very well for me right now.
What is your favorite pregnancy safe workout this week? I do HIIT workouts and just modify them if I need to.
Do you have a favorite healthy recipe to share this week? not yet. I received my first sun basket order but haven't made the food yet!
What are you doing to stay fit? Running 5 miles 3 times a week, swimming a mile once a week, rock climbing once a week (on a top rope with a tight belay so no fall risk.) Sometimes I fail at any one of these. Completely failing to eat healthy. What is your favorite pregnancy safe workout this week? Swimming. Will probably start doing that more and cut out climbing when the harness stops fitting.
Do you have a favorite healthy recipe to share this week? No ☹️ I really need to work on that. Looking forward to learning from you all!
What are you doing to stay fit? I have been working out about 3 times a week. I still see my trainer once a week (she modifies my workouts and we monitor my heart rate), and then I take body combat class or body pump class (and just use lighter weights). Some days are harder than others and if morning sickness is abundant, I don't feel bad about skipping my workout.
What is your favorite pregnancy safe workout this week? I really love weight training so I'm still doing that but avoiding anything that has weights over my belly.
Do you have a favorite healthy recipe to share this week? I make homemade "ranch dip" by combining a cup of plain, nonfat Greek yogurt with 1 tsp each of garlic powder, onion powder, and salt, along with 1/2 tsp each of parsley, dill and pepper. Healthy and flavorful and I dip all my veggies in it!

What are you doing to stay fit? I love running! ~3 miles a day 3-4 days a week. Running a 5k next week at 10 weeks and using it as an excuse to get our families together afterward. It’ll be the surprise reveal that we’re expecting! What is your favorite pregnancy safe workout this week? Again, mainly running. However, I’ve recently saved several workouts from my favorite trainer @SarahFit on Insta! She’s expecting and has some amazing recommendations I’m excited to use as my workouts get a bit more restricted. Do you have a favorite healthy recipe to share this week? Eek! Needing help on this one. I’ve been on a smoothie kick lately though! One of the only things I can hold down in the morning!
@lynzev I have been thinking about trying yoga. Are you taking a prenatal yoga or just a normal yoga class?
@sarahzett That ranch dip sounds good! I will have to try it...veggies haven’t beeny thing the last few weeks, but maybe if I can smother them in a healthy ranch dip I could get a few in. I also like weight training. MH and I had really gotten in to in over the last year. I’ve been doing that a couple of days a week as well, mostly low weight high rep workouts.
@mamacox_2018 That is awesome about your running! I hate running but was trying to get in to it more before getting pregnant, now I just use it as an excuse to do other workouts instead!
What are you doing to stay fit? I’ve taught 14 aquacycle classes and 2 spin classes this week. I’m still doing my Alexa Jean Hiit workouts to start my day. What is your favorite pregnancy safe workout this week? Going on family walks. The weather has been beautiful and my kids love taking a stroll around the neighborhood. A workout doesn’t have to be intense to be effective. Do you have a favorite healthy recipe to share this week? Making homemade fries and baking them in the oven. Yummm.
@mamacox_2018 I’m jealous of you. I haven’t been able to run since my BFP.
What are you doing to stay fit? I'm training to run a quarter marathon at the end of April, so I generally run between 2-6 miles four times a week. I skipped my short 2mi run yesterday though because I decided the extra hour of sleep was going to do me more good than running in the 20 degree weather...
What is your favorite pregnancy safe workout this week? Just running at this point really.
Do you have a favorite healthy recipe to share this week? I've been trying to eat more salads (mostly because I like them!) but otherwise nope.
What are you doing to stay fit? I didnt do much this week, DS is off for spring break and getting up at 5:30am isn't appealing. BUT I did do a half last Sunday and am doing a 5k on Sunday, and then getting back to Orange Theory next week
What is your favorite pregnancy safe workout this week? Running. squats
Do you have a favorite healthy recipe to share this week? Pizza? Lol I have been bad..
@spartan4life I'm just taking beginner's yoga. They do offer prenatal yoga where I'm going but the descriptions of the class are almost identical, so I'm going to try out the regular one first with a friend then once I'm farther along I may switch to pre-natal.
What are you doing to stay fit? I went skiing last week, but otherwise lots of walking, Peloton classes, and starting Fit4Baby this week (I did stroller strides for 6 years with my older kids).
What is your favorite pregnancy safe workout this week? Skiing is definitely NOT pregnancy friendly, but for now I don't feel like I need to modify workouts yet, other than just a little less intense.
Do you have a favorite healthy recipe to share this week? I drink a smoothie with collagen, spinach, Greek yogurt or kefir, and tons of fruit most days - it helps my sour stomach.
@mesamyt I’ll be honest, I’m totally losing my motivation to do it as each week goes by. Also, by the end of my runs my boobs hurt SO bad I want to cry. I’ll secretly be a little relieved when the race is over and I can step down to some less intense routines haha.
If any fit mamas out there have recommendations on sports bras that keep the ladies from feeling like they were just attacked after a workout, I’d be very grateful!
@mamacox_2018 - I go to the smallest size I can without the boobs spilling out. Basically, I put up with the discomfort of a too small bra in favor of one that basically straps them in place to my chest. Also, I perform what I refer to as “the jump test” when I try them on- I basically jump in place a half dozen times to see how much jiggle there is.
(FYI- I’m a size J- so even before pregnancy, I had a lot to keep in place.)
@mamacox_2018 I picked up some high intensity bras from target that I’ve liked so far. My ladies are on the larger size and I know for higher intensity workouts I sometimes double up on the sports bras.
1. Barre classes a couple timed a week, walking, occasion bike ride and light lifting
2. Definitely barre class! The one I attend is very pregnancy friendly and a great workout.
3. Not specifically healthy, but a healthy alternative. I have been craving carbs like crazy and Costco sells gluten-free ramen noodles, so I have been making “top ramen” with organic chicken broth (and onion and garlic for extra flavor). So satisfying!
I also have a green smoothie most mornings. 1/2 banana, colllagen, chia seeds, coconut butter, tons of spinach, 1/2 lemon, 1/2 zuchinni & coconut/filtered water.
What are you doing to stay fit? First tri is kicking my ass and haven't been as active as I normally am. I've been lap swimming and mostly just walking.
What is your favorite pregnancy safe workout this week? lap swimming is amazing especially once further along. It so easy on your joints and u feel weightless.
@mamacox_2018 I've had great luck with lululemon sports bras but I'm E to begin with so I needed to pay up for some support for the girls well before bfp. If you're not busty to begin with or already have good sports bras in general, I have taken to putting a second cheaper bra (target, I think champion?) over my "real" sports bra when the girls are extra sore these days. I'm trying to avoid any new actual good bras just for pregnancy (until nursing bras) cause good bras aint cheap!
