My husband and I met on MySpace before meeting people on line was really socially acceptable. I randomly added him as a friend( based solely on his picture) and he commented on my page “Hey, you’re pretty cute. Hit me up” . We talked on AIM and ended up meeting in person a couple weeks later. That was back in 2005, and we’ve been together ever since, 13 years strong. We got married in 2008.
My husband's name is Travis. Technically, we were introduced senior year of high school (his girlfriend and my boyfriend were acquaintances), but we formally met our freshman year of college. We were both music majors and lived in the same dorm. He asked to drive my car (mustang, stick shift) and the rest is history!
We have been together for 13 years, married for 6 and a half. He's an audio engineer and is currently the technical director at a large church in the area. He also does a ton of audio and lighting gigs on the side.
He's pretty much the bee's knees of husbands and fathers. I'm a lucky gal!
We have been married for 9 years and together for about 12.
H and I met about 12 or so year ago. I worked at a restaurant while in college and my manager kept trying to set me up with his friend who he thought would be perfect for me. I kept saying no over and over so he hired his friend and made me train him. I wasn't very nice to H for awhile but for some reason he still liked me. In the end I said yes to a date and the rest is history.
My husband and I met playing a game online (EverQuest2). I started playing because of the guy I was dating at the time. We broke up within a month, but I kept playing. DH was in the same guild lol. We have been married for 9 years (10 in August) and together for 10 years.
We went through college together and graduated at the same time (him engineering, me education). Got knocked up with DS about 5 months after graduating right after DH had to move away for a job. Spent my pregnancy living alone except on weekends!
I definitely didn't marry a romantic, but he has been my rock and my best friend.
Met my H on POF about 8 years ago. I blew him off twice, before he sent me a message that made me giggle (I thought you were supposed to play hard to get after we met) and said “what the hell, I’ll give him a chance.” Met him that night and that was that. We were inseparable.
We have been together 8 years and married for 5 God bless the internets!
In high school my loud friend yelled at some guys at our local mall. One was in high school but they were roommates and lived in their own apartment. A bunch of us girls went to their apartment that weekend and the high schooler invited some of his friends over because, as he said, "I've got a shit ton of hot girls at my house, come over." One of those guys that came over is now my husband. We have been together for 18 years in April and married 4 years in September.
My husband and I met at a club. I was standing behind him and when he turned around to face me there was an instant connection. It was only supposed to be a fling but a year later (almost to the day) we got married. We have been married six years this June!
Two Furbabies: Mika (american eskimo) and Gypsy (wire-haired terrier, dachshund mix)
Twins: Kaiden and Zara born 10/2018 conceived after 6 years of infertility via a medicated IUI
DH and I met on POF june of 2014 and were married January 2015. We moved VERY fast, but we both just "knew" as corny as that sounds. He is just the most amazing husband and father and I'm truly lucky!
@pink_polkadots That story is so 2000s I want to buy it a juicy tracksuit and an ipod mini @CopperBoom86 You must have liked the cut of his jib to let him drive your 'stang right away @sarcaztic1016 That's a lot of dedication from your manager! I guess he really had a feeling about y'all @middleschoolmommy The same guild...lol. That sounds like a tough first pregnancy though! @mrsclark731 I'm guessing POF is a dating website? I'm so out of the loop. @blue2mango You rebel you! Better be careful with that story when your kids are in high school (but moooooooom you met dad at a random stranger you met at the malls apartment) @linz36 That's very similar to how I met DH
I met DH at a bar in Chicago 8 years ago. Completely random. He bought me a beer, we chatted, flirted, he got my number. Ate late night hot dogs at the Wiener Circle (if you've spent much time in Chicago you will probably know what this is) He called the next week and asked me to dinner at a tapas place. Married three years later!
I maintain that DH and I met when we were little kids, at our parents work Christmas party. Even though he didn't speak English, and I didn't speak French, so we never would have actually spoken haha.
We then met at work 4 years ago. I stayed for an hour after my shift, chatting with him. I ended up leaving without his number. Neither of us wanted to date someone at work, but thank goodness he came after me after I left!
Our first date, we spent the entire night talking, and covered every topic, including my infertility. He had the most amazing answers to everything. And he waited patiently until I was ready for every step.
TW: when I got pregnant 4 months in, he was 100% supportive. When I had the miscarriage and totally broke down, he was there for me 100%. He did everything he could to support me. END TW
I can't imagine my life without him. He is so patient with me, and truly loves me for me.
We have been married for 10 months today, and are 6W pregnant today! Woot!!! He is going to be an incredible Daddy. I can't wait!
@lifesabeach85 Oh I know, it was not exactly my smartest choice in high school but I met my amazing husband so it turned out worth it. I don't think I have ever told my parents the whole true story.
After a LOT of bad first dates from online dating, I saw DH’s profile on OkCupid and said “this is the LAST time.” And luckily, it was! That was in 2011, married since 2014.
DH and I meet 12 years ago. I worked with his roommate at my first professional job, so DH would crash our work happy hours for free booze. We were friends for 2 years, started dating in 2008 and married in 2012. Our friends all thought there was something between us the first two years of our friendship, but it was truly just an awesome friendship. He made the first move and I’m so glad he did. I never would have acted on any of my feelings. I’ve never met a person more kind and genuine. He is an incredible husband and dad.
DH and I have been together 12 years, married for 5 next month. We were introduced in college by a mutual friend. He was dating her at the time, but they broke up and he and I lost touch. A year later we were reintroduced by his sister and her boyfriend. Sparks flew and 4 weeks later I made the first move (he was questioning the dilemma of dating his ex's best friend) and the rest is history!

My husband and I met in Germany at our first base (military). It was during a fifteen minute break of a long, boring briefing. I was back there at the snack table chowing down and heard him say he didn't like Oreos. I about flipped my lid on him... lol. I guess that caught his attention and we flirted for the next few weeks till we lost touch. Four months later we ran into each other on base and he asked for my number. I was an ass and stood him up a couple of times, but he finally got me in the phone and we talked for hours. I knew then that I wanted to see where this would go. We've been married now almost 11 years, and though it's been tough at times, I wouldn't change anything. This man is my best friend.... and now he loves Oreos!
DH and I met online, through a Christian dating site. We spoke for 5 days, he asked to meet for coffee, and that turned into an 11 hour date, including book store browsing, putt putt, and the movies. It was great and I knew he was unlike others I had dated. He proposed to me at his 32nd birthday party I threw him and we were married 6 months later. Just celebrated 3 years in January. Ironically, DS was born on our 2nd wedding anniversary, so this year was interesting trying to keep our anniversary and his 1st birthday separate events.
ETA: For the Doctor Who fans out there, I am a big DW fan and had a photo of me dressed as Amy Pond on my profile. His first message to me was "Not Rory," and the body of the message said, "But pretty close." I couldn't not respond to someone with that amazingly dorky of a pick up line.

DH and I met in high school. We had a mutual friend who introduced us and we started talking on AIM. He asked me to be his gf and then I had to leave for dance and he said "Okay, love you!" HAHA I still don't let him live that down! We dated throughout HS and then broke up when we went off to college. I compared all the guys I dated to him and my college roommate finally told me to stop comparing and get back with him. I did and we have been together ever since! We just got married this past October after dating for roughly 14 years. The family was all so happy and we heard a lot of "about time!"

How did you and your partner meet? - I was waitressing at an Applebee's, and it was the end of a 12-hour shift. He came in with some friends (2 girls), we chatted a bit while I was getting their orders, and then he left his number (no name) on the receipt with a 10% tip and a note saying "Call me if you want." It was AWFUL, and I loved it. It was clear he had never done this before in his life. So I called him and we went out on a date that didn't go well, but my friends convinced me to give him another shot, and I'm glad I did. How long have you been together/married? - We were together just 14 months before we got married, and that was 7.5 years ago.

I met my husband when I was 21, he was 26. I worked as a bartender at a small restaurant and I was in college at the time. I was also engaged. His cousin played live music at the bar occasionally and I would wait on them all the time. When my fiance and I broke up in 2011, we "talked" briefly but he ended up ending it because he wanted to try again with an ex. So I started dating someone else and that lasted about a year or so. When I broke up with that guy I saw a Facebook status from my now husband saying he was going to be at a bar with his cousin's band, so I stalked him down there and the rest is history! Things moved pretty fast - he moved in with me within a month. We found out we were expecting our first in June 2014 and got married in October 2014. We bought her house in October 2015 and had our second daughter in August 2016. So we had a busy few years!
We have been together since June 2013 and married since October 2014, so almost 5 years total.
My husband and I met in college- his fraternity rented out rooms during the summer to sorority girls, so I had a bunch of friends living there and we ran into each other that way. We were together for three years before we got married, we’re married for 4 years before we had our first, and now we will have our second right after our 6th anniversary!
