What is your go-to type of exercise? nowadays I'm mostly on the elliptical. Used to be an avid runner. Try to get to a barre class at least once a week.
How did this week go for you? good! I've been eating tons of raw vegetables and more fruits than usual if for no other reason than I NEED FIBER! Did at least 30 min workout every day. I did have a decadent tuna melt for lunch one day, but I hate seafood and the only way for me to get it down was adding mayo and cheese.
GTKY: Do you meal plan each week or just wing it? Meal plan. We try to do one big shopping trip each week so it helps to have dinners all planned out.
Does anyone have a food tracking app that they love other than Myfitnesspal? Maybe even one specifically for pregnancy? Aside from calories I would like to track things like sugar, fiber, vitamins, etc.
@lifesabeach85 I don't have any tips on apps. I used to use my fitness pal but could never keep up with it. Are you absolutely in love with your prenatal or do you have a doctor prescribed one? I ask because I swear the prenatal I take is one of the only things that keeps me regular. On the nights I forget to take it, I almost never have a bm the next day. I use this one
How far along are you? 5w2d me thinks
What is your go-to type of exercise? I love running and reformer pilates. I also do a few different Beach body workouts (not a coach, just like on demand stuff) and I'm using our indoor cycle more because it is actually fun.
How did this week go for you? This week was pretty good. I did at least 30 minutes of something every day, so am proud of myself for that.
GTKY: Do you meal plan each week or just wing it? I don't write out an official meal plan, but I have a general idea of what I want our dinners to be that week when I shop. I adjust it as needed based on leftovers and schedule changes with the kids.
Can I still participate even though I am overweight??? Fitness is really important to me!

What is your go-to type of exercise? I do Zumba every week and I love to do anything outside. We go on a lot of family walks. I use to run, but I never got back into it after DD was born in 2016.
How did this week go for you? Mehh. I exercised almost everyday, but my diet was terrible!
GTKY: Do you meal plan each week or just wing it? A little bit of both. I plan, but we often deviate because we're on the go a lot.
What is your go-to type of exercise? I go to the gym & lift heavy twice a week (on weekends are the only time I can get there!) and then do some cardio or light strength during the week at home. I love Jessica Smith on YouTube. She has a couple of prenatal workouts that I did a few years ago when I was KU w/ DD2
How did this week go for you? OK. With the news of my BFP I stress ate a lot. I need to reign that in. I'm still tracking on MFP but increased my cals from 1700 to 2300. I was tracking macros before my BFP so I'm going to try & keep that going.
GTKY: Do you meal plan each week or just wing it? I meal plan and prep my breakfasts, lunches & snacks. Dinners are more challenging because I have to feed the girls, myself & DH. But I do my best.
I don't have any other app recs. But MFP does keep track of fiber, sugar & vitamins. Just click nutrition at the bottom of the diary & then the nutrients tab. @lifesabeach85
I’m 4w6d. My go to work out is power lifting. Basically picking up heavy things and putting them down again. I was following a 12 week program then I found out I was pregnant so have been keeping my lifts relatively light this week. I also do about 10-15 min of conditioning (rowing is my favorite) every time I’m in the gym. Try to go 3-4 times a week but I should have gone yesterday and took a nap instead! Try to meal plan, saves so much money and energy and find we eat healthier when I do.

@loisloan1118 I'm with you on the stress eating. That's been my problem, too. This pregnancy wasn't exactly planned, we've got some new job prospects on the horizon, and DH had been working A LOT. All of that equals me eating tacos and ice cream way more often than I should
What is your go-to type of exercise? when the weather is nice biking, during winter or rainy days elliptical
How did this week go for you? between the fatigue, a cold and a crabby toddler this week sucked! I only got two short work outs in before I couldn’t breathe and needed a nap lol
GTKY: Do you meal plan each week or just wing it? I try to meal plan every week but lately life has been getting the best of me
What is your go-to type of exercise? Running is my jam! Year round. I’ve also taught myself to appreciate yoga in the last year. I try to throw some weights in there. I’ll get on a P90x kick occasionally.
How did this week go for you? Still have a not great cough from getting over the flu that gets worse just on my 1/2 mile walk to and from work, so no real workouts this week. I might try tomorrow.
GTKY: Do you meal plan each week or just wing it? Meal plan for the week.
How did it go: I was super unbalanced at dance rehearsal. I'm in a piece that shows in three weeks. My choreographer is changing one part where I am supposed to get stepped on, thank goodness! I don't want to let anyone down, so I'm trying to push through, but I definitely had a hard time getting my head into the piece and still trying to be cautious.
Meal Prep: I wing it, but we eat as close to paleo as possible, so we cook most nights. I always have a bunch of health proteins and veggies in the fridge to pull from. Most nights we do a combinations of sautéed veggies and throw an egg on top. Tonight was beef and veggie soup. My DD eats chicken nuggets most nights.
How far along are you? Well that is still a bit of a question but I'm guessing around 5-5.5 weeks.
What is your go-to type of exercise? I like to switch it up a lot, but if I had to pick a favorite it would be hot yoga (not when pregnant). Currently I do a prenatal workout on YouTube, hike with Hike it Baby, and come summer we have a FitMoms group that meets daily.
How did this week go for you? Last week was awesome, I hit 3 days of strength type workouts and moved for at least 30 minutes daily. I would love to be outside more, hoping the temps stay above 40 this week!
GTKY: do you meal plan each week or just wing it?Meal plan 100%. It keeps me sane and helps keep snacking in check by making sure we are getting well rounded meals.
What is your go-to type of exercise? powerlifting & crossfit style metcons
How did this week go for you? not great. We are moving this week, so our garage gym was in pieces & the move plus the pregnancy has me zonked.
GTKY: Do you meal plan each week or just wing it? I meal plan. I plan for the whole week and then prep meals (lunches and dinners) Sunday and Wednesday. I do breakfast daily & prep snacks each morning.
What is your go-to type of exercise? Jogging, which got taken off the table pretty early last pregnancy. I also use workout videos, take long walks, and pretend to do the occasional squat.
How did this week go for you? Not very well. The week before spring break is always nuts! But I really want to do more this pregnancy than I did last time (especially in the Kegels depatment), so I'm making myself reply to this thread so I can get started. :-D
GTKY: Do you meal plan each week or just wing it? Both. We tend to have friends over or eat at friends' houses with little to no notice at least 3x a week, so I usually fully plan 3 dinners and the buy a variety of apparently unconnected but pretty predictable "options" (cereal, ground beef, whatever meat's on sale, veggies, sandwich supplies).
Right now we have a Home Chef box, though. I've been milking all the meal kit discounts for almost a year now. Cancel, wait for a 50% off coupon, order, cancel, repeat...
What is your go-to type of exercise? Rowing machine (the erg). I’ve been an athlete my entire life, including the crew team in college. Long story short... my first pregnancy (DD is 3) was a big lifestyle change for me, and overall a miserable pregnancy AND delivery. I gained over 80 pounds. It took a lot of hard work to get most of it off and I’m never going down that road again. I’m in shape and I’m determined to stay that way. How did this week go for you? great! I’m keeping on my 30 minutes 5x a week and so far so good!
GTKY: Do you meal plan each week or just wing it? We are closing on our current house in New Jersey in less than 30 days. I’m trying to clear out the freezer... but I’m like a exhausted, nauseous packing zombie right now. I’m not doing that well!

What is your go-to type of exercise? Running usually, we started Beachbody on demand a few weeks ago so that’s been fun to switch it up.
How did this week go for you? Terrible! I got a stomach bug Tuesday night that is just now finally going away, so next week I will get back on track
GTKY: Do you meal plan each week or just wing it? Meal plan for sure! If I don’t have food prepped or planned then I fall off the wagon so easily
