I know there aren't many of us High Riskers here so I've only been posting this every couple weeks. Feel free to comment until the next one is posted (whenever that may be ;) )

Why are you high-risk?

Re: High Risk Check In 2/6

  • I'm currently 23+2

I'm high risk due to high bp - though lately it's been fluctuating (low to almost high)

I had additional testing last week - see MFM every 4 weeks.

At our anatomy scan (at 19+2) LO had choroid plexus cysts at our scan last week the cysts were gone and lo is anomaly free!

Positives are all of these baby kicks! (DD faced my spine the whole 40 weeks so I didn't get to feel her much)

I'm most looking forward to my kids meeting!

  • @catapult32 What fantastic news about the cysts resolving! I hope the rest of your pregnancy goes smoothly :)

    T1 Diabetes

Any additional monitoring or testing this week?
24 hour urine collection and BW yesterday, along with normal monthly OB appt and emailing with the endo today.

    Any questions/concerns/news?
I'm pretty sure I had some contractions over the weekend (I can feel them in my chest and neck, just like preterm contractions with DD). OB isn't concerned unless they are timeable or there is spotting. I suspect it was due to increased activity on Friday.

What positives are you seeing with your pregnancy today?
The little man is kicking up a storm a lot throughout the day now :)

GTKY: What's one thing you can't wait to teach your child or experience with them?
I'm excited to see the little things early on, like smiles and waves. And then sledding and swimming :)

    23 weeks today

    Why are you high-risk?
I have a large SCH that is not getting smaller.

Any additional monitoring or testing this week?
I don't have anything additional this week. Just my regular OB today and my MFM on Tuesday.

    Any questions/concerns/news?
I just don't know a whole lot about large second trimester SCHs. So I always have questions. Haha. This week though, I was finally seeing some relief in my bleeding, however, there have been a couple days I have some pink bleeding. So hoping it's not growing.

What positives are you seeing with your pregnancy today?
Like @TalesOfASocialIntrovert mine is moving too! Makes me feel just a little better. And I have not been feeling contractions, so I guess the progesterone is doing it's job!

GTKY: What's one thing you can't wait to teach your child or experience with them?
I have two other little ones already. One of my favorite things has been seeing them learn the little things. My DD (18m) has recently learned that things look different when she does like a downward dog-ish pose. She thinks it's hilarious. So it's the little things like that I love watching them learn and experience.

    AMA and high blood pressure

I saw a hematologist because my platelets had been low but when he tested them they were normal again!  Yay!  I also had my anatomy scan and everything was perfect.  I’ll have a growth scan in 8 weeks.

    Any questions/concerns/news?
I am always just super worried about pre-e.  The farther along we get the closer we get to the time that it will develop (if it will), so that’s always in the back of my mind.  I don’t have any signs of it, but high BP increases your risk of developing it.

We have been talking about it with my daughter more and she talks to my tummy sometimes, which is so sweet.  I think it’s all starting to feel more real.

GTKY: What's one thing you can't wait to teach your child or experience with them?
I am having a boy and I’ve just been thinking a lot about how I want to raise him.  I am really glad that he has a big sister because that is supposed to help men be more sensitive and more likely to treat women as equals.

    @kc1293
that is so cute about your daughter!  The way that they experience the world and are constantly learning is so much fun to watch.

@TalesOfASocialIntrovert thanks for starting this thread again!
  • @emzie54 happy news about your platelets
@kc1293  I always have questions too, despite this being a second pregnancy there’s always so much to know
@TalesOfASocialIntrovert  having contractions too and I’m not ready this early!
@catapult32 that’s great your last scan had such good news!

Any additional monitoring or testing this week?
Just an Ob visit this week and I see the mfm for the second time on 3/14
    Any questions/concerns/news?
The babies looked great at our last ultrasound. I’ve been having lots of tight contractions so hoping they’re not affecting my cervix but it’s easy to worry!
What positives are you seeing with your pregnancy today?
I’m this far into it, off nausea meds and eating.
