Rant: We're in the middle of nap transition hell at my house. DS keeps taking a short morning nap at daycare (like 30min) and then not wanting his afternoon nap. So by the time I pick him up he's a disaster. Last night I could barely get half a yogurt in his mouth he was so tired and grumpy. Today I told them I don't care what they have to do, no morning nap and a good afternoon nap has to happen. FX.
Rave: It's Fri-yay! And I have a pretty fun weekend with friends planned. DS has his first swim lessons tomorrow! I'm making DH take him, cause Momma is not getting in a bathing suit in front of people. But I'm excited to take pictures, he's going to love it!
GTKY: What is the last book you read?
uh.....Obviously I didn't pick this question. I remember when I was waiting for my son to come out (overdue) I read Girl on a Train to pass the time. Since he was born passing time is not a problem, catching up is the problem lol....
How are you feeling? Tired. The insomnia let up for a minute now it's back in full force. I have a feeling if I'm more active during the day that would help but by the time I get home it's dinner, baths, clean up all the baby destruction, etc. Excuses excuses...

Rants/raves/questions? I can't believe we're closing in on the halfway mark! Weren't we all just getting BFPs?!?
GTKY: What is the last book you read? I had a small amount of down time and started reading Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire again for the eleventy billionth time

How are you feeling? I feel pretty good. I am wondering when that second tri energy is gonna show up though. I sleep like crap most nights so that probably is cancelling it out.
Any appts this week? I am getting the NIPT blood drawn AGAIN on Monday and a regular appointment next Friday.
Rants/raves/questions? Raves- I just bought a ton of unisex onesies from Old Navy with a gift card! They will be my first official baby purchases!
I might have asked this already but I can't remember - Do I get to hear the heartbeat at every appointment now? Or was that a one time thing? I thought it would be nice to ask my MIL if she wanted to come to an appointment so she could hear it. But, I am not gonna waste her time if I am just gonna pee in a cup and chat.
GTKY: What is the last book you read? I have been in this weird mood where I can't read or watch anything serious right now so I have been reading a bunch of light Chick-Lit and Baby Name books.
@livinthesunnylife - ugh, nap transition is tough! I really hope they listen and stick with the afternoon nap today. And it sounds like you have a wonderful weekend planned!

Rave- I love my new part time job at the library! It's mindless busy work which I love (checking books in/out, sorting books, registering new library cards etc.) It's also nice working with the public.

The Stolen Marriage by Diane Chamberlain- a great quick read, I recommend it

I feel sick but also want to eat EVERYTHING I see. I am also starting to accept the way I am looking this pregnancy.
GTKY: What is the last book you read?
Wedding Cakes and Big Mistakes. Romance/Mystery novel. It was really good and ended up reading the whole series.
How are you feeling? I am so tired all of the time. I finally got my blood draw results back and my iron is low so I'm going to have to look into which iron supplement to take and hopefully that will help.
Any appts this week? I had my 4w check up on Monday, everything sounded good and I got my second trimester blood draw.
Rants/raves/questions? My only rant is work related. I'm just so over it. We had our work meeting this week and my staff acted like complete idiots and now I'm just super embarrassed that the office I run is a hot mess. My boss has called me chewing me out the past two mornings and is coming next week to "help me get the office in order." It just sucks because it was all due to excessive drinking which I obviously didn't participate in so I'm getting punished for shit other people did. My staff is terrified of me right now and nobody will come near me because they know how mad I am with them.
GTKY: What is the last book you read? I'm currently in the middle of the first GoT book but the last book I finished was a couple of weeks ago and it was Atlas Shrugged (which I've read a few times now). I'm pretty much always reading something, I'm a big book nerd.
August 18 Siggy Challenge: April Showers
How are you feeling? Frumpy and tired. I really need to get my diet back in check - I've been eating a lot of crap, which I know is not helping my energy levels at all!
Any appts this week? Nope! I see my OB next Wedesnday though.
Rants/raves/questions? Rant: I said it in randoms already this week, but work has been an absolute shit show this week. Month end is our busiest time and our system wasn't working correctly and sales reps were pulling shenanigans and I wanted to punch someone repeatedly. I'm so happy today is Friday!
Rave: We are going to the Home and Garden show downtown tomorrow, which is always fun and we are going to a fish fry tonight. Yummmmm
GTKY: What is the last book you read? The last book I read was On Fire by John O'Leary. I am currently reading and almost finished with The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck. We are encouraged to pick a personal/professional development book to read each quarter for work.

How are you feeling?
Not too bad. Dinner was late tonight and I started feeling desperate, but it was more emotional than physical this time. Which I take as a good sign, actually.
Any appts this week?
Yes!!! I have my first group appointment on Tuesday. I'm a bit nervous, but pretty excited. Plus, I'm just excited to hear that heartbeat.
Rants/raves/questions?
I'm just psyched it's Friday. I discovered a problem with our data on Wednesday, then immediately got a call from daycare that DS had a fever and had to be picked up. DS was fine, but we had to stay home on Thursday, so I had to try to sort out our problem remotely, which did not go very well. I made it back to work today and we made good headway, but we still haven't figured it out.
GTKY: What is the last book you read?
Yeah, I don't do a lot of actual reading these days, either. But I listen to a lot of audiobooks at work. I just finished Two Kinds of Truth by Michael Connelly. It's the latest in his main detective series. I really liked it.
