How are things going? How are you feeling? Pretty Good! Except my mom totally gave me a complex about something happening at 10 weeks. (Thanks, mom!) So instead of just being unabashedly happy about getting to this milestone, those irrational fears have been weighing on me. It doesn't help either that I just finished my last dose of progesterone, too. So when I should just be happy to be free of all those needles and suppositories, instead I have her words ringing in my head... ugh...

Upcoming appointments?
Nothing this week, but NT scan and NIPT labs on Tuesday 2/20.

What are some small things that make your day better? Soft, cozy blankets. Omg, I don't know how I would survive without my coziness when I'm sitting down in the livingroom, or climbing into bed. Also, my robe. :)

What's something you like to do the old-fashioned way? I don't do a lot of it, but I really do love baking. And I want to get better at it too - like not just making cakes from a box, but following recipes from scratch. Yas, please.

@BusinessWife that's so frustrating that she put doubts in your head!

9+5
I'm so sick feeling and miserable today. We were in MN for the weekend and I think it exhausted me plus I think DH gave me a stomach bug. :s

Just laying down helps my nausea usually. I'm counting down until second tri

My mom always makes pancakes from scratch and they are so fluffy and perfect. I'm always disappointed with boxed pancake mix that others people use.

@BusinessWife I love baking from scratch, too, including pie crust (although it's a PITA). Hurray for being off progesterone! I'm going to ask at my appointment on Friday about when I can stop mine.
@EErin86 I'm sorry you got a stomach bug. Feel better soon. I make pancakes from scratch and they're amazing, especially buttermilk pancakes.

10w2d; a strawberry

How are things going? How are you feeling?
Pretty good. Gagged while brushing my teeth this morning and threw up my coffee, and still feeling nauseated, but otherwise good.

Upcoming appointments?
Another ultrasound on Friday!

What are some small things that make your day better?
Finding the baby's HB on the Doppler. I can find it within a minute now! Also DH's hugs and snuggles with my cat.

What's something you like to do the old-fashioned way?
I love sending and receiving snail mail.

@BusinessWifeI'm sorry you're dealing with those fears and hope you can keep yourself distracted from those thoughts - and also reassured having seen/heard your baby's heartbeat! <3
@spottedgingerSo sorry you are feeling bad today! I hope it passes soon.

How far along are you? How big is baby? 10 weeks today!!! Kumquat/strawberry.

How are things going? How are you feeling? So great! We saw baby/heard the heartbeat at 8 weeks 1 day on the ultrasound and won't have another until 19 weeks. I also found the heartbeat with our fetal doppler a few days ago. <3 Last night was also the first night I didn't feel super nauseous/exhausted so I am hopeful I'm turning a corner on first tri yuckiness.

Upcoming appointments? 2/21.

What are some small things that make your day better? When my DD says "I love you Mommy" out of the blue. And these days...treats! My box of Samoas is already calling my name at work...

What's something you like to do the old-fashioned way? I like to cook things from scratch/make things homemade! I also enjoy planning/making lists in my bullet journal and reading actual books - even though I love my Kindle, too!

@BusinessWife Ugh, I'm so sorry. I hope her words don't stay with you long.
@EErin86 What brought you to my lovely state!?

How far along are you? How big is baby? 9w4d

How are things going? How are you feeling? Still get nauseous frequently, but it's getting better. I am also still dealing with the fact I can eat a food once, but thinking about eating it a second time makes me nauseous. Sciatica was also horrendous this weekend...waiting for this ute to grow a bit more so it can change the pressure point and hopefully give me some relief.

Upcoming appointments? Not until 3/2 for the NT scan.

What are some small things that make your day better? A cup of coffee in the morning, a small sweet after lunch, driving my jeep to/from work, my dogs, and dorky things my kid does.

What's something you like to do the old-fashioned way? We bought a chunk of land adjoining our property two+ years ago on a contract for deed. The people we bought it from are a very sweet elderly couple. I could set up my bank account to automatically send them a check every month, but instead a hand write one so I can write them a small note too.

@Patience7150 we went to a curling bonspiel. My friend's parents live near the club in Cambridge so we stayed with them for the weekend. We played two great games then one terrible game and were eliminated. I'm just glad we never ended up with a 10pm game

@starla Brushing my teeth is the only thing that has made me cry this entire pregnancy. I seriously have a stare-down with my toothbrush right before brushing every time. The gagging....

How are things going? How are you feeling?

Pregnancy stuff is going okay. I will feel better after testing this month and super Lok forward to feeling the baby move.

I am dreading telling family. They are super against more than two kids unless you end up with multiples. This will be #5 for me and I know my SIL is going to suggest termination (she's like that). My MIL, who is normally great, will get really quiet for a few months. FIL will day something stupid and judgemental. I am a grown *ss woman (38!) and I feel like a kid.

Upcoming appointments?

NIPT on 2/20

What are some small things that make your day better?

Candles, awesome coworkers/friends, chocolate

What's something you like to do the old-fashioned way?

I make bread from scratch nearly everyday.

@episcowitch wow, why do people think they can say such terrible things??? Also I'm jealous of your fresh bread
• Options
@EErin86 Yes and worse. When that SIL found out that I had a mc in 12/2016, she told me that I should be happy since I have too many kids anyway.

@episcowitch That is terrible!
• Options
@episcowitch well know that everyone here is really happy for you.

SIL sounds like the people that "would never bring a child into this terrible world we live in" I just feel bad that they don't see all the great things that happen every day and how much love people can have for each other

How far along are you? How big is baby? 10+1, growing nicely hopefully

How are things going? How are you feeling? I feel like my morning sickness isn't getting any worse which is nice but the I have energy and do some things and then have no energy is starting.

Upcoming appointments? Not until 12 weeks.

What are some small things that make your day better? These days figuring out what to eat or having meals already figured out

What's something you like to do the old-fashioned way? Well, we have a woodstove and I enjoy that!

Hi! I’m 9w3d.

I’m just sooooo tired! MS is totally under control thanks to Dislegis. And my boobs are really sore.

My next appointment is March 1. I doing a bunch of things but I don’t remember what. I know we are meeting a genetic counselor that day and doing scans and blood tests. And ultrasound! I can’t wait!

One thing that that makes me feel better: Thin Mints. I’m so happy it’s Girl Scout cookie time. Also, our baby’s nickname keeps making me smile. We are calling it Rocketbaby. Because it looks like a rocket shooting through space! So cute:)

I’m trying to make my Auntie’s chocolate layer cake from scratch. I tried the weekend before I found out I was pregnant and it tasted great but was kind of a mess! I’ve been feeling too bad, but I think I’m finally ready to try again! So, yes, baking is something that I also like to do the old fashioned way. I’m not great at it, but I enjoy trying!

@EErin86 Thanks. I'm just going to not tell anyone for awhile. I have a couple close friends and they are supportive. I also have you all!!!

9/4, cherry I think!

How are things going? How are you feeling?
Better than the first time around, but the nausea and vomiting still suck. I either eat too much or my stomach is too empty. I can’t win.

Upcoming appointments?
Tomorrow for my initial OB with the NP. I hope we can find the hb on the Doppler this early!

What are some small things that make your day better?
Those brief moments during the day when I am not nauseated. I live for those moments these days.

What's something you like to do the old-fashioned way?
hmm...making Halloween costumes. I have made DS’s every year so far!

Welcome! @gidget84. Omg I'm 10+6 and I feel like I woke up sorta normal, and as the day went along, everything just grew! Totally muffin topping over my pants all of a sudden and feeling like a real pregnant belly down there / spare tire (!) Lol. So cool to think like, yep! There definitely really is a baby in there!

Thanks for the welcome! @BusinessWife Yay for muffin tops! I never thought I would ever say that...

How far along are you? How big is baby?
11 weeks, 3 days. A Lego mini-figure.

How are things going? How are you feeling?
Nausea/morning sickness and heartburn are currently kicking my butt. I've never attempted to get through the first trimester sans nausea meds, and now I remember why. I don't, however, want to shell out the $ for what will probably only be a few more weeks of discomfort since I'm really not that bad off (knock on wood).

Upcoming appointments?
March 1 with the MFM for an US, NIPT, and some other blood work. March 2 with my regular OB for my 12 week appointment.

What are some small things that make your day better?

The boys various shenanigans, and today, the fact that we are getting the house back to ourselves (we've had a house guest for the last week).

What's something you like to do the old-fashioned way?
I prefer traditional books over ebooks. Going to the bookstore or library always puts a smile on my face.

@Roto what kind of sewing projects? I need to finish a baby blanket for my friend that I keep procrastinating.
• Options
@Roto yeah, let's hear what kind of sewing projects! I was just looking last night to start this quilt for thelittle bugger (albeit in a more sex neutral color), but may wait until after the NT Scan next week because I'm a little stituous, as Michael Scott would say.

• Options
@Patience7150 That was a lovely Office reference! It made me smile. Thanks. The quilt is beautiful too. I would love to make something for the baby, but I’m not very crafty. So, I’m not sure... I have my NT Scan next week too- March 1. I’m excited and nervous!

Hah, I'm glad it made you smile @magnolia209! That's one of my favorite Office quotes! NT scan for me is March 2! Fx both of our scans go well!

Hi everyone!! I’m 11weeks today, baby’s as big as a lime. (Yumm, lime flavored water sounds so good right now)

things are going alright, I’m having a hard time with nausea and being so tired, my eating has been all over the place and my DD watches more tv than usual so I can have a chance to rest on the couch. Trying to not have guilt about that.

My my next appointment is on March 12th for a scan and some blood work, going to scan for chromosomal abnormalities and maybe find out the sex based on that blood work!

Some little things that make me happy: my DD has started calling everyone (people, animals, and toys) her best friend. And when she hugs me and says ‘mommy my best friend’ I cry a little! She’s so sweet. And stubborn. And amazing. I finally ordered some preggie pop drops and they are amazing. Doritos are life.

as far as being old fashioned, I LOVE to bake, and I keep a paper planner I would be lost without. I also read real books, I can’t stand reading on a screen for very long. (Just re-read A Wrinkle in Time And was transported back to middle school.)
• Options
@arbell615 Haha, Doritos are life. I was thinking about reading A Wrinkle in Time. Still enjoyable for an adult without any prior sentimental connections to it?
• Options
@arbell615 I am 11 weeks today too! I was so excited to see the lime when I opened The Bump today! I also have to keep a paper planner. I got my BFP on Jan 2 and one of the first things I did was go get a 2018 planner and count out 40 weeks!
• Options
I need to figure how to have the Bump send me notifications when someone replies to a post! @Patience7150 that’s a gorgeous quilt! We’ve been rewatching the office, and it cracks us up no matter how many times we watch it

So weird, I had more of a reply explaining the projects I’m planning, but now I don’t see it?! I want to make my DD a quilt, as I made DS one for his 1st birthday, and now she’s about 2! I want to make a taggie blanket with embroidery for baby, and then some monogrammed things for her too. I have a few randoms too, like enlarge DS duvet cover that I bought too small and things like that.

Hope you'll share pics @Roto

@magnolia209 how'd the nt scan go today?

@Patience7150 Everything went great!!! I just talked about it in the appointments thread. It was wonderful to see the baby again! It’s amazing how much they grow between 8 weeks and 12 weeks! And, now they are aware! So cool. Good luck tomorrow! Let us know how it goes and say hi to your little one!

@gidget84 I have prior sentimental attachment to the book, but I think reading it this time around I was getting excited about sharing it with my kids when they’re old enough. There’s a lot about being empowered to be who you are, how you have something special inside you, love can battle evil, those kinds of things!

@magnolia209 I did the same thing!! Now I can see exactly how far along I’ll be for trips we have planned and important events
