Infertility

Hi Everyone February FET (Loss Mentioned, Child Mentioned)

Hi everyone! I'm back on this IVF journey again. Yay shots! My name is Christina and I live in California. I have been married to my husband for 9 years this April. We have a beautiful 3 1/2 year old daughter that we conceived through IVF. We had a long journey before having our daughter. Our first IVF journey started in 2012, we went though our first round of IVF and got a BFP first go around, used 2 fresh 5 day embryos (after 3 day biopsy and PGD to rule out a fatal genetic condition I am a carrier for) unfortunately only 2 survived to the blastocyst stage, so we had none left to freeze. That IVF resulted in a singleton pregnancy, we were elated and so happy to finally be pregnant. Sadly we lost the baby boy at 20 weeks. We tried another full round of IVF and opted for 5 day PGD and froze them all to get more accurate results. Our doctor was able to alter my cycle so I got a lot more eggs than the first time, out of those 8 made it though the testing round and became blastocysts, 6 embryos were unaffected. First round with 2 embryos resulted in a BFN. Second round with 2 resulted in a BFP with twins, but sadly lost one baby due to vanishing twin syndrome at 8 weeks. But there is a rainbow after the storm and this led to our daughter, I truly feel our daughter is a miracle and to this day stare at her in awe! Fast forward to today, we still have 2 frozen embryos left (they had to make a journey across state lines last year which was SO nerve tracking for 24 hours!). We finally just did a FET transfer of 1 on Wednesday! Keeping my fingers toes and everything else crossed for the 2WW (but really only till next Friday since our facility does the first Beta on the 10th day).
