GTKY: What is your go-to make yourself feel better, bad day (or CD 1) pick me up? If it is AF showing up, I like to have a cup of full caff coffee in the morning and a beer in the evening. For a general pick me up, poutine all the way!

WAYDTGKU: Tonight begins the HIO marathon. Tomorrow I'll start using OPKs. Still have my fx for a longer LP.
R/R: Rant: My DH has to do a 2nd SA and he's only able to do it on Mondays due to his job and having to have the SA to the lab before noon, and wouldn't you know that this weekend is my FW! So we'll have to wait until week after next to do another SA. I don't want to waste our FW, I think that's the best thing to do? Rave: It's almost the weekend! Have plans to go hiking with friends Saturday so I'm looking forward to that!

R/R: It’s Thursday and after today I am not back at work until a week on Monday!!! However I have to write my damn thesis during this time... ahhhh... cue a lot of time bumping next week lol.

GTKY: What is your go-to make yourself feel better, bad day (or CD 1) pick me up? Singing along to 80s rock music at the top of my voice. Watching the squirrel come to get nuts right by our French doors. Snuggling on the couch with DH. DH cooking me one of his fab meals.
@meri-Mac sorry about the car - but buying a new one is not a bad compensation!
@meladams10 how many days abstinence did your DH do before his last SA? I ask because there is some research that in cases where they do back to back IUIs sometimes the sample is better on the second day - ie only 24 hours after the first sample... I would suggest if last time he had 2-3 days abstinence, it might not be so crazy to this time only have 24 hours - maybe his fresh little swimmers are better than those who’ve been hanging around for a few days... maybe. If not, then yes it’s a pain, but one week will be ok in the grand scheme of things. This whole process is a whole load of waiting, waiting and more waiting. We become waiting experts...

R/R: I was going to test this morning (due to lack of self control) but alas! Af had other ideas. I'm fine with it as it was only my first cycle and I was trying reallllly hard not to feel like a special snowflake who would get knocked up on the first try. But it was just bleh first thing in the morning. I feel better now that I've showered.

Asked for selfish reasons obviously. Mine is generally wine or a beer and something stupid on tv. There's just something about a glass of wine and some Netflix and husband time that makes me feel better at the end of the day.

@rosebud332 Sorry about CD1. I'm in the same boat. Wine and Netflix with my husband is one of my favorite things too. Hoping to have some time to do that this weekend! Have you seen the new Queer Eye on Netflix? I'm like 3 episodes in and addicted already! I love a makeover and the show is so sweet.

WAYDTGKU: There was bit of a meltdown last month with the charting so DH and I agreed that this month we're keeping it low tech and trying the old fashioned approach.
R/R: Rant: This week has been really frustrating and awful and sucked. They're doing a 'staffing adjustment review' at work and no body is outside the scope of the review (except very senior staff) so it all feels a bit awful and I hate being there with it hanging over our heads. Also DH got another rejection on the great job hunt which makes moving and having a fresh start in an affordable city feel pretty far away. Rave: I just ordered some beautiful new wool for a project I'm working on with my MIL. We're doing a knit a long and I'm making my first ever shawl on circular needles. This required buying yet more wool (my stash is now hiding in 3 places around the house) but I'm quite excited. I have never tried this sort of pattern before and I'm already lost but it's nice to be doing it with her for help.

R/R: I don't know what's going on with my body. Every cycle is like a new thing. Last cycle had late O which ended in a 41 day cycle and now this cycle I've had 3 days of strongly positive OPK so far. BBT is still low though. DH will be coming tomorrow for the weekend so I'm really hoping O day is tomorrow and hasn't happened yet but I don't know if that's possible if I've already had 3 days worth of positive OPK. If I O'd today that would mean timing is -3 for this cycle
