New to the group! *siggy warning*

Hello!

My name is Katharine. I'm 36 and am ttc my 3rd. We've only been trying for 4 cycles so far this time around. My history is in my siggy if you're curious. So i'm not totally new to TB but I've taken a really long hiatus. I was an active member of TTCAL, PgAL, IF, and who can even remember what else from 2010-2014ish. So like I said, its been a while! I would love to reconnect with anyone who was here back in the day but I know almost everyone left in the mass exodus of 2015! :#

Ok...so I think it's been so long since I've been here that I didn't realize that siggies don't show up on phones (or I don't know what I'm doing). I've copied my sig for anyone who wants to see my "history". Don't worry I won't paste it in everything I post, just figured since I was making an intro...

BFP #1: 12/2009 m/c 1/2010 
BFP #2: 6/2010 m/c 8/2010
BFP #3: 10/2011 ectopic 11/2011 (right tube removed, learned left tube was probably nonfunctional due to scar tissue from infection after m/c but a "cleanup" was attempted)

3 failed IUIs, IVF #1: 18R, 12M, 10F, 3 poor quality 5d embryos transferred= BFP #4!!!!!
Betas: 9dp5dt: 64 ~14dp5dt: 91 (expecting miscarriage, doubling time of 236 hours) ~16dp5dt: 200~18dp5dt: 500
First Ultrasound at 6w2d revealed two sacs, only one with a heartbeat
DD arrived after 42 weeks on August 14, 2013! Beautiful, healthy, and happy!

TTC#2: IVF booked for April 2015
Surprise BFP#5 February 19, 2015 EDD: November 2, 2015
Betas: 10dpo: 10, 14dpo: 77, 17dpo: 270
First Ultrasound at 5w1d showed a miracle UTE baby! And right ovary ovulation transmigration to left fallopian tube.
DS arrived at 38 weeks on October 20, 2015.

TTC #3: Since October 2017.

BFP #3: 10/2011 ectopic 11/2011 (right tube removed, learned left tube was probably nonfunctional due to scar tissue from infection after m/c)

    @Laurakat81 Hi there and welcome! I too was very active on here back in 2013-2014 on TTCAL & PgAL. I ran a weekly check-in and very supportive/involved. Then I got flamed for reaching out to an admin over the weekend bc another user was flagging everything I posted. Anyway, it turned in a sh!t show, so I was done. I had to choose to walk away from a community of women that I had supported & who had supported me for months but I needed to do it for my sanity. It sucks too bc it was a time when I really needed support myself. I'm curious, what was the mass exodus in 2015 all about?
    Me: 42, dx: DOR (AFC: 5), low AMH (0.163), blocked tube, fibroid
    DH: 44, dx: ED (uses Cialis), low count/motility (17 million/44%)

    @mich_elle I'm almost afraid to talk about it for fear of being banned! :s In January of 2015 some long time TTCAL members were banned for reasons most of us didn't agree with. In a show of support almost every single person on the TTCAL, PgAL, PAL boards left to go to another site altogether. From what I have seen those boards have yet to recover! And the new site is still running but not very active either...

    @Laurakat81 Welcome back! I remember this well and it wasn't just TTCAL. I never did leave for the other site (too much hassle) but I am still sad about the mass exodus. I moved on to the May 2015 board which remained active... Anyhow, I think we're starting to rebuild over here, hopefully everyone has learned from the experience and we can put it behind us. That's all I'm going to say too!  I do remember your username and it's great to reconnect!

    @Laurakat81 Thanks for sharing. I went and googled it and all I can say is...wow. So messed up. I'm glad I left when I did. I was burned by my experience so I'm reluctant to get too invested here. I had serious reservations about coming back. But I took a chance, changed my username and here I am.

    @mich_elle I'm sorry you had such a terrible experience. I'm hoping that things are better for you this time around. Once upon a time TTCAL was such a good place to be and the girls there helped me get through the worst three years of my life. I truly hope its becoming that way for others again!

    oh I remember the mass exodus!  I was on a BMB at the time.  I don't remember what all happened and why but so many people left and made a different site.  same thing happened on the nest too.  The nest has been dead ever since.
