So...here's a story for your enjoyment:
I took my class and dropped them off at computers and when I got back to my classroom, the custodian was in there sweeping. He points to his pile of stuff he'd swept up and says, "Go check that out." So I go over and look...and....wait....is that???..... Oh yes, it was a turd in the middle of the pile of dirt. A 1st-grader-sized piece of poop. I just looked at him with this look of shock and he says, "Honey, that ain't mud." Lol.
Apparently one of my little guys had an accident today and rather than telling me about it, he shook it out his pant leg and left it under his desk. The classroom never smelled or anything, so who knows how long it had been sitting under his desk unnoticed.
It was a good day overall, but when DH called to ask how my day was I couldn't help but telling him it was "crappy".
Re: The joys of being a teacher.
I didn't think i could hear a story that was both gross and cute at the same time!! At least he didn't hide it in your desk or in a fellow classmates coat pocket...really the day could have come out much worse!!
I have an open-door restroom policy! All he had to do was take the pass and go!
