DD sounds exactly like me when 'yelling' at the dog

Embarrassed  It's embarassing.  She literally will say in her cute little voice the exact words I say.  I tell him to "back off" a lot.  He is a puppy still and can tend to be up in her business.  I just heard her tell him to "get out of the babies room!" :); I'm trying to keep him out of the nursery for now because he constantly licks his feet and leaves a wet spot on the carpet.

I like that she doesn't take any crap from the dog :) but it is both funny and disheartening to hear her use my exact phrases.  They are such little repeaters at this age.

  • Michelle does it too except I say Kasey shut up!  I've been trying to remember to say Kasey be quiet.

guilty of this too.  DD said "SHUT UP Jake" once so I've stopped saying that as well.

  • That's cute. I'm trying to stop saying "you better (fill in the blank)" b/c A will tell me "you better get off me" or anything else she can use it with. They are def. parrots.

  • Yeah, I could have written this... he talks/yells to the dogs and it is in the same tone as I use.  I'm at least trying not to say "shut up" anymore and say "hush" instead.  Sad, scary and a little funny at the same time.
