I have read mixed reviews on the internet about drinking hot tea while pregnant. Can anybody give me some insight on whether I should be drinking herbal tea or not. It’s usually Tazo, Lipton, or Bigelow brands that I drink- non caffeinated.
Most teas should be fine. There are just a few that are suppose to bring on labor (red raspberry leaf is one) so people avoid those. As far as caffeine from what I have read the only danger is if you drink a lot of caffeine the entire pregnancy baby can come out addicted to caffeine, and the poor thing will be going through caffeine with drawl. But guidelines say one cup of coffee a day is fine, so do with that what you will. I was only ever a sporadic coffee drinker sonI didn’t really change my caffeine habits durring last pregnancy.
