Thoughts on the middle name

We are having a girl and we have had the name Ava picked out for along time. But can't seem too fully decide on a middle name.
We were thinking Ava Rae or Rey. What are your thoughts

    I don’t like it unless it is a family name. Also Ava Rae sounds like Avery.

    It’s cute. Rae gives it a Southern feel...not sure if that’s what you were going for. I do agree it sounds a little like Avery though

    Enh. I think Ava is better than suited by either a longer middle,or a monosyllabic name that isn't commonly used as an elaboration. Ava Rae just sounds like a pretentious averA

    If you’re totally set on the middle name than go with spelling Rae.

    Agree with PP that it sounds like Avery.
