Re: 2nd trimester check in week of Feb 19

  • @2MomsHoping you'll be surprised how happy people are for you, your wife and the new chapter in your lives. I'm not a Facebook person, so I didn't announce there, but I did post on Instagram. You can share as much or as little as you want. There are no rules when it comes to this. Just do what makes you most comfortable. May opening up about your struggle may help someone who has gone through something similar find hope :)
@Irisheyes81 i get the same anxiety too when it's been too long between appointments- and my MFM appts are usually 1 weeks before my OB check up. I think we switch to every two weeks once we hit 28 weeks, so the third tri. Then every week starting at 36 weeks

guys all I've been, since hitting 14 weeks, is on the sex train. I feel like a teenager. It's on my mind 24/7. Even DH is like, I know I shouldn't complain, but is this ok?? Lol. I hear either you're really into it or you have zero interest. There's no in between.
  • @cseley321 i just found one sharps container so i'm going to see if i can do a pic...I had at least 10 I tossed so i'm a lil annoyed I didn't think of doing it sooner....I guess I didn't want to jinx it either...

@2MomsHoping I give you all the credit in the world for being brave and telling your story!  People dont share enough and I'm struggling with the same thing myself!  Its such a huge miracle you want everyone to understand how huge this miracle truly is for us.  I love the ideas you have to get your story across!  I think you can add how hard this is to share but why you think its important.  AND I see many people add in like, appreciate no negative comments from the peanut gallery...or something of that nature.  Almost like you're not here for others opinions...more for others to understand your story and here for others.  Hope that made sense ;)

@coco305 that is awesome good for you!!  See I actually have the interest just too scared so it sux that much more!!!  I hear it can bring on labor so maybe down the road...and then by then i"m sure I'll feel too big  :D:D:D

TMI question anyone feel like their vag is a bit swollen?

  • @2HopefulMoms I think sharing is incredibly brave. I had been quiet about my IF troubles and had avoided social media, fb specifically, because of all the happy announcements, but then I made one random post last year about these issues and a flood of support came in. I was surprised at the number of people who shared their personal stories with me privately. Many people (even good friends) didn't realize how hard it was. And I even found out about an aunt who struggled with having children. Social media is so...odd sometimes. But I think your announcement idea would be great and encouraging to others. Do what feels best!
  • Thanks all for the support.  I talked it over with DW and we are going to do it I think its important to share our story.  I have some family that isn't very supportive of our relationship so I'm mostly worried about backlash from them and some nonsense about deserving the losses because of our horrible depraved lifestyle (eyeroll) but by now I've heard it all from them and there opinion has very little effect on me anymore so yeah kinda nothing to loose.  I have far more people who I want to share with that make up for the small minority that may have something negative to say about.  I'll be sure to share whatever we come up with when its done.  :)

  • @2MomsHoping Good for you! It takes so much courage to share after losses and the added backlash.  I think it's an important story to tell.  I was thinking I would make a video montage after the baby is born and post that just showing how rough IVF is in case someone else could use that information.  It's all a tough call but sounds like you guys decided what you want to do together. Awesome.

  • @2MomsHoping I'm sorry about the backlash you may experience - but you're both strong women who have been through a lot to get pregnant, and it's an amazing time in your lives. Don't let the small minded people put a damper on your happiness. And you know you always have our support. The most beautiful thing about IVF is that it helps women and men, in all types of relationships, achieve the most precious dream. Let us know how it goes :)
  • Thanks @irisheyes81 and @coco305 for your support.  The IF and PGIF is such a wonderful supportive group I'm lucky to have found everyone here!
