I apologize in advance for starting a new discussion but frankly I'm not technology savvy enough to figure out how to put this on the weekly questions discussion. Has anyone had an experience with their infant/toddler coming down with influenza? I'm terrified with all that has been on the news and I want to make sure my little guy is going to be ok. Not to mention I am 11 weeks preggo and afraid I could come down with the virus myself and sounds like that could be quite dangerous. Has anyone contracted the flu while pregnant? Doctor recommended I take tamiflu just to be on the safe side. Any experiences, recommendations or positive vibes are much appreciated.
Re: Influenza and Tamiflu
Does your son actually have the flu, or are you just worried he will get it? I’m confused as to why you would need Tamiflu if he doesn’t actually have confirmed influenza. Your post isn’t clear on this. I hope your little guy is ok. This flu season has been scary.
Also, you don’t need to be technologically savvy to post on the questions thread. You just click and post a comment. It’s literally more simple than creating your own thread like you have here.
Im sorry if this reply comes with a little snark. I’m just a little peeved when people create Special Snowflake posts to basically ask for medical advice or experiences (and then never come back). Do what your doc says, and if you question their recommendations, get a second opinion. And since you are here asking for support, please try to join in the threads and participate to give some support back to others.
It is not frowned upon to ask questions. It is frowned upon to ignore the board organization and create an individual discussion thread for each question because it clutters the board and makes it very difficult to find the information you're needing. Frequently if you locate the appropriate established thread, you will find that others have been going through similar things and you may find your answers before even having to ask.
