Sleeping!!! I can breathe through my face again and coughing is to a minimum. My mom came over to play with little buddy so I put in my earplugs and slept all the sleep that my pregnant bladder would let me. I feel SO much better about life!
@stothi Yay! So glad you're feeling better and are able to rest today.
I woke up to some business emails. Booked a vacant staging (my main source of income) and a couple of consults. Woot woot. I was killing it by 9am while still in bed. We also took the pups for a nice walk around the art park. I was feeling pretty pregnant when 15 minutes in I needed to stop at a bench, whomp whomp. It was a beautiful morning to sit on a bench though.
@treeofcheem I was so pissed when Netflix removed Inside Out! We used to watch it all the time and it also gives me all the feels. I am looking into buying a bunch of Disney DVDs or something. I want my kids to be able to see the original Lion King, Beauty and the Beast and The Little Mermaid etc. Plus I want to re-watch all the classics myself!
Spent the morning looking at baby stuff online... now just doing homework. We may go to the Houston Rodeo tonight. It starts today and is open through the third week in March, I think. Always some good BBQ. It's also a very gorgeous day outside right now.. the calm before the bad storms start.
Let DH sleep in since he got home at 1am. Once he got up and settled home we made a list of all the cosmetic repairs the house needs for us to list it. Just got home from home depot after pricing the bigger things (tub, flooring really). Now just hanging out waiting for our contractor to text about meeting up to review house plans
After only getting 3 hours of sleep going into Friday, and then a long day with Murphy prevailing, my Friday night bar shift was really really hard. Not too busy, but I forgot my fruit I usually bring to snack on, and people lingered. I didn't get home until midnight, but with only OK tips to show. DH warns me that puppy knocked DS down some of our stairs, toddler has a seriously fat lip, and probably won't sleep well.
So I went to bed seriously worried about the little man. He only got up twice overnight (more than usual, but considering lip and teething not awful) and DH took him first thing. I got like...6.5 hours sleep and now at least don't feel like a moderate breeze will do me in. Overall, not terrible. Glad today we have nothing besides grocery shopping on the list.

After work today, I went and got me a pedicure! Whoop whoop! Lol I think it had been since... November? before our first transfer, honestly. Plus, it's my birthday next week, so I deserve it ;) the lady doing it for me was actually also ku! 6 months plus a bit, she said, so that connection was kind of nice. I dont know any other pregnant ladies IRL around here, so I'll take it!
After sitting under the air for 15 min or so, I got up to pay and she was almost asleep in her chair. I was like, yes, yes it is precisely naptime! Lol DH said we could just go grocery shopping together tomorrow, so I went straight home to get cozy after that.
Don't super want to get up right now, but there's no one else here to refill my lunch bowl for me... sigh.
Work MH just made it home from his 14 day hitch at work and I just started my 7 day work week last Wednesday. I hate that I work his first week home but we have his second week off together.
I slept almost all day. I was awake for about 2 hours this morning and then napped for about 4 hours. I've been awake for 3 hours and I'm about to doze off again.
I think my new thing is going to be to just refuse to comment on the one-off-BS threads. Instead of trying to direct them, just ignore.

Your day sounds like perfection! I got more sleep last night/today then I have in weeks, but I've been up for 5 hours now and I'm so ready for a nap! Ooooo, a snack and then a nap. Yeah.
I think my new thing is going to be to just refuse to comment on the one-off-BS threads. Instead of trying to direct them, just ignore.
You know, for me it entirely depends on time of day and whether I've had my snack or not. Apparently when I'm tired and hangry I ignore, but when I'm feeling mellow I attempt to direct.
@pourmeamocktail I try so hard to ignore... but it sets off a flame inside me. Like please read the "Read First" thread before posting a thread. Ugh. Have not opened the newest ones for fear of throwing shade.
@stothi and @smsaulino I ignored the first, and the second, but then she at least replied and admitted she was confused. THAT I can respond to, because at least it demonstrates a willingness to learn.

My day didn't start out great, I woke up 4 times within 2 hours from 4-6 this morning after one of my dogs howled in his sleep and then they kept coming over to check to see if I was awake. However, H has kicked butt cleaning around the house today. Just have some laundry left and picking up groceries, a la Wal-Mart grocery pick up. My mom came over for a while to play with DS so we could be out of sight and clean different rooms. I attempted a nap, but was disrupted by one of my dogs barking and the buzzer on the dryer going off twice. Had yummy dinner and both H and I gave DS a bath which he loved. Low key day, much needed relaxation.

And she did! Got her intro right where it belongs! I'm so not good with technology and it takes me an embarrassingly long time to learn new apps and such, so I feel her pain. Learning is hard sometimes. I will help anyone who actually wants help.
@nlc8424 sorry your day did not start out great, but it sounds like the end has been much better. Great your mom was able to come for a bit even if you didn’t get a ton of sleep it did give you a break. Hope you get some sleep tonight!
I picked up DD from my parents house this morning, went to work, went grocery shopping, saw a house we want to buy, did more grocery shopping, made enchiladas and had my parents over for dinner, played with DD, got her to bed, and now I’m in bed myself (8:30). I’m debating whether to work more tonight or not...
Had one of my BFFs birthday parties tonight and it was a great time. We’re home now and just sent the sitter home. You guys, it’s midnight! I haven’t seen past 8:30pm in ages!!

My toddler pretty routinely wakes up around midnight/1am. Does that count?
We are officially starting to clean out closets and organize the house to make room for baby! We have a huge renovation project to complete before September and cleaning and organizing gets us moving in the right direction.
Seriously @yosemite2018, I could use some energy too!!
Yesterday we were at target so I could check out some maternity stuff. DH took DS to walk around (so he's stop driving me nuts and I could shop ) when we met back up DH goes "I find it strange that the tightest shopping area in this whole place is the maternity section". He's right, why target?
@BusinessWife and @prpl11butterfly no extra energy here. I passed out a minute after I posted. Between a toddler and working 6 days a week I’m lucky that I made it to my bed.
@klj0228@smsaulino Same! We’ve been rearranging some closets and are painting the nursery today. That room has been H’s man cave for the past two years. His stuff essentially needs to fit in the linen closet and his side of our walk in closet now.
All of the talk about buying houses lately is giving me house fever, is that a thing? Our house is an ok size, but our storage is limited and our bedroom closets are a joke. DH mentioned later on down the road putting bunk beds in DS's room if this one is a boy too. I told him I don't think we'll be here that long, but he's somehow convinced we can make this work. I just want two people to be able to comfortably fit in our kitchen without tripping over each other. Although I have no desire to go through the whole house hunting, buying and selling thing.
@nlc8424 yes, house fever is a thing or at least I think it is. When we have friends buying new houses I always start thinking ooooh we could buy a new house, but the pain of home buying stops me from getting far down that path.
@smsaulino@SkilledSailor our house is definitely big enough, just the people who built it did not think of what someone would need if they had a young family. We are moving some walls to make the master larger and one of the living rooms into a nursery. They seriously put 4 living rooms in our house, one of them was kind of a den that they had a tv and couches and stuff on one side and a bed for grandkids to visit on the other side. DH and I currently have clothes and stuff in every closet in our house and there is plenty of stuff we haven’t worn in years. Time to cut ties and take it to goodwill.
@nlc8424 We have the same issue with our kitchen - it’s a galley which is great for one person cooking but a challenge with multiple people in there. We are hoping to sell in the next year and find a house with more living/kitchen space. We have talked about building but that would likely involve moving in with my parents after selling our house
We are having a relaxing weekend! Ran a bunch of errands yesterday as a family, my MIL was in town visiting and then we watched The Big Sick. I’m meeting one of my best friends for a walk in a bit, we are going to work on cleaning out/organizing our garage and then are going to dinner for my DD’s best friend’s 5th birthday.
ETA: The birthday girl chose Panera for their mac and cheese, and I will be ordering the same So delicious!

@nlc8424 I have house fever since we started trying to make a decison. I really really hate the idea of moving but the house we are looking at is beautiful and has a garage which we currently do not.....
@klj0228 it very exciting! I'm 11wks today and I can practically taste it.....
Re: Weekend Randoms
Other than that I’m just trying to gather enough energy to clean the house.
