Re: 2nd trimester check in week of Feb 19

  • Feeling? Feeling ok so far! I slept really well last Friday night but had a hard time falling asleep last night and unfortunately didn’t really sleep in today, despite having the day off. Wish I could’ve!
    How far along? 19w1d
Appts this week? My OB offered a psychiatry appointment to help with anxiety and be proactive with post-partum depression, so I thought I’d take it up and finally after multiple rescheduling due to the weather and cancelled clinics, my appointment is this Friday. With all my current anxieties with my pregnancy, I’m looking forward to talking to her.

Is anyone exercising? I’m trying to but haven’t had the energy or interest. I had off from work today so I went to the gym and worked out on the elliptical and did some stretches and ab/back exercises. Very low impact. Hoping to go to some prenatal yoga classes again too.

  • Feeling pretty good! I’ll be 21 weeks on Wednesday. Sleep is hit or miss so that’s really the only struggle. No appointments for me until 3/7 when I go back to the MFM to see if this little girl (still can’t belive I’m having a girl!) has moved from her comfy spot and away from the amniotic band. I’ve been able to feel more often so I’m basking in that!

@jr102217 I’ve been slacking on the exercise. I usually try and do two short walks at work (15-20 min each) but the weather has been so lousy here I haven’t been doing those. Went to the gym yesterday and swam some easy laps for about a half hour and man did that feel good! I’m going to try and keep that up at least 2-3 times a week but will need to go get a new swim suit. Ugh, swim suit shopping while pregnant should be a blast!

How's everyone feeling this week? I can't complain! I still dont feel or really look pregnant and haven't started feeling kicks so it still doesn't feel real yet. It will start sinking in soon though!

    How far along? 18 weeks

Appts this coming week? Not until mid march

@jr102217 I haven't done any exercising, against my better judgment.... I had the best intentions to do yoga this time around, but I got knocked for a loop with having a SCH and being put on bedrest for most of the first trimester. I started working at home also and can only really do so when my toddler is asleep. I am so sapped by the end of the day that I just don't care anymore. It's an awful attitude to have, but who am I trying to fool?

@mtpbadger best of luck on your March appointment!
  • How's everyone feeling this week? I am feeling okay. Tired today... The varied sleep is a struggle and I couldn't sleep last night. Kept waking up on my back and having to rotate all night long. We started painting the baby letters for the nursery last night, which is a fun project. We even decided on a name yesterday. Bryson Alexander. Alexander is my husband's name. :) We will not be sharing the name with people as I don't need their opinions and everyone's input.

How far along? I will be 24 weeks this Wednesday. Crazy to think about, but man sometimes it feels like time is dragging. I guess that is what happens when you find out you are pregnant at 4 days after IVF haha.

Appts this coming week? We have another US on Thursday to check my cervix size. I am excited to be able to see my little man again way before than planned, but nervous about the possibility of getting bad news about the cervix size.

I haven't been good at exercising either... I deep cleaned the house on Saturday- does that count for exercise? ;) It is hard when you work full time to get excited to exercise when the couch looks so lovely at night after cooking or eating dinner.
TTC 4 years. 7 failed IUI's with either Clomid, Femara and/or Trigger Shots. Started IVF journey in February 2017. Polyps removed in May. 1st IVF Transfer September 26th. BFP. Expected due date 6/14/18. Baby boy born 5/25/18 at 6 lb 9 oz. My bundle of joy.
  • Felling pretty good, down from 4 to 2 anti-nausea pills a day.  I also actually had enough energy to clean my house this weekend which is the closest thing I’ve had to exercise in the last couple months.  It’s good to feel semi-normal again.  I’m 15+1, no upcoming appointments.

@jr102217 my RE referred me to someone when I was in the first few weeks of our pregnancy, my anxiety was through the roof.  I would completely encourage you to go.  I actually only went a couple times but it was so helpful and gave me some tools which are helping me to keep my fears in check.

@Holls214 cute name and congrats on a big decision made!  We have been discussing but haven’t come up with anything.  There are a couple on our tops list that other people have named their kids but they are like Facebook grade school and high school friends I never talk to anymore.  I would still feel like I’m stealing though so we are at a standstill.

  • Feeling better now that I am on Zantac; I thought my morning sickness had returned but my OB said sometimes that gets mistaken for bad acid reflux.  I just need to have snacks throughout the day to keep me from feeling a little icky.  Otherwise, everything else is good.  Feeling regular movement from LO has helped a lot.  Has anyone flown yet?  I am going to San Diego on Thursday for my sisters bachelorette party and know to drink fluids, walk, etc...but I am still a little nervous.

I'll be 23 weeks Thursday!  Can't believe I am getting so close to viability.

I go next Tuesday for my fetal echocardiogram but don't see my ob again til March 7th or 8th.

@jr102217 I think that is great you're being proactive about postpartum.  And I feel the same about exercise...I felt so sick for so long that I was out of shape by the time I could really be active again and then was too tired.  I try to walk too and want to go to prenatal yoga, but other than stretching and walking, I don't do much.

I hear you on the sleep @mtpbadger!  Some nights are horrible and some mornings I wake up and realize I never got up to pee or even moved.

Love the name @Holls214!  I feel like a name really makes it feel real.

Glad your nausea is getting better @2MomsHoping.  I was sick til about 15 weeks and even now I have an occasional rough day.

How am I feeling?  Its a tough question cause at times i'm super excited to feel this sweet baby do flips and then terrified when i get a shooting pain thinking the worst is coming.  The non stop indigestion is annoying and am I the only one that is burping all day long??  Sleep is good when my hips aren't killing me.  My pillow moved and I didn't realize it waking im in such pain...I was leaning on my back knowing I can't stay that way...and then I get up to go to the bathroom and try the other side, my routine through the night.

I will be 25 weeks on Wednesday woohoo!!!  Can't believe I'm getting closer to the top in getting to 3rd tri...hoping that will give me some relief!  Following appt is next week with my OB and its glucose time boo  :s:# Very paranoid especially since I have gotten my sweet tooth back after 6 months :)

I'm first starting to take a short walk now that my spotting has stopped but thats as far as its going.  I did vacuum the other day does that count HA :)

@mtpbadger still so excited for ur princess!  Hoping ur follow up will show she has moved from the band! Hve fun swimsuit shopping hell I would probably find it more fun having a bump as I have something to blame my change in size on HAAA!  Lord knows I'm never  a fan os having to shop for a suit!

@holls214 aweee  what a sweet name!  I actually really like Bryson!  And awesome you gave hubby a lil something too ;)  Sucks that the sleep is already annoying as we know its not going to get any better!  And I do feel like the pregnancy is dragging and its totally because we know from the moment!!  I say it all the time!!

@2MomsHoping picking names is not easy!  I'm still at it too!  But don't discard a name you like from others especially if the people aren't apart of your everyday world...its a compliment!  Just my 2 cents ;)  Glad your nausea is improving its very hard always not feeling good...hopefully you'll start feeling better soon, i started around week 16 and 17.

@cseley321 very impressive you're still not showing, dont they say you pop even sooner with the 2nd one?

@jr102217 u go girl!  U even made it into the gym!  There is no way!  I"m too scared to even be around of extra germs right now so u will never find me in a gym right now!  I think of all the hard core ppl that love to exercise whether sick or not (my pregnant friend being one of them...I think shes nuts)  And I never trust they clean the machines enough during the day...so I give u major props!  Dont beat urself up - anythnig u do is better then nothing!  Can't imagine doing tummy exercises right now...I tip my hat off to you!  Hope the therapy bring you some relief!  I probably use that myself!!

  • @Hopeful_mom yeah this is my second, but both last time and this time I am carrying far back. Don't get me wrong, I am definately bigger, but it looks more like extreme bloat still ;)

  • Had a little bit of a scare this morning - woke up and had some spotting after showing. I figured it was due to having intercourse last night but throughout the morning it got just a little bit heavier (still only when I wiped) so I called the emergency call line at my OB. Spoke with a nurse who paged the on-call OB at the hospital and they said not to worry. It's still hard. My OB should be calling me sometime this morning to follow up. Thankfully it seems as though the spotting has stopped and hopefully it stays that way! This little girl is already keeping me on my toes!
  • @mtpbadger hopefully you get some reassurance soon! I am sure it's nothing... I had a scare like that in the 2nd trimester of my last pregnancy, and the doctor said it was probably due to intercourse. Try not to stress out!

  • Very excited to join you all in the 2nd Tri club!  My EDD is 8/20 and it's a boy!

How's everyone feeling this week? I'm feeling pretty good.  We spend the weekend with both of our families so that was exhausting but I was able to go to sleep early last night.

    How far along? 14+1 today
Appts this coming week? My next appt isn't until March 6 and that is just a check up with doppler.

@jr102217 I am trying to exercise every day for even just a 30 minute walk.  The weather has been pretty mild in Boston so I've been able to walk outside and I do a strength training workout 2 or 3 times a week. I found a handful of manageable and quick routines on pinterest that our pre-natal specific.

@mtpbadger Oh that's scary but I've read that a little spotting after sex is normal.  Hopefully you'll hear from your OB soon and that will calm your fears.

  • Thanks ladies! I feel the little one moving and grooving and the spotting is pretty much gone (TMI*****just a little on a panty liner but its not as red as it was) so I've relaxed a lot. It's always nerve wracking to see red on toilet paper though!! I had my bag all packed to swim after work today but think I'll just take it easy tonight just to be on the safe side.

@laurad75 welcome to the second tri!!!

@holls214 I love that name! Hopefully you'll get nothing but great news at your appointment this week and won't have to worry about your cervix.
  • Welcome @laurad75 & congrats on the boy!!

I still look at the toilet paper @mtpbadger, it's like a reflex.  So glad the spotting is almost gone though!

@mtpbadger my doctor warned me last week that there could be spotting after sex as well.
I also still look at the toilet paper. It’s a habit now.
    Welcome @laurad75
And thanks ladies! We are excited about the name. It is snowing today here in Portland. Pretty. :)

  • @mtpbadger So excited for you and your little girl! I've heard swimming is really good for you, so that's good you went. Sorry you had a spotting scare :( but sounds lke it's okay. What did your OB say after the follow-up? I'm like @aera11, I still look at the toilet paper just to make sure.

@cseley321 I understand. It's been exhausting and I don't have a toddler, just a DH! ;-) All I've been able to handle are office work and light housecleaning so once I'm on the couch, I'm done.

@Holls214 Congrats on picking the name and the nursery project! Yea, sharing the name is so tricky. We're not sharing it either. As for deep cleaning -- YES IT IS! That's a workout. Hope you got some good rest after that! Good luck at your appointment on Thursday!

@2MomsHoping I forgot I went to a therapist at the fertility center until you mentioned it. I'm glad you went too! I went a few times for about 4 months but then it got expensive with all those co-pays. It definitely helps with all that stress and anxiety of TTC and now being pregnant. I'm really looking forward to my appointment, though I hope I don't have too high of expectations now!

@aera11 glad that Zantac is helping! I'm nervous about the potential acid reflux, but at least DH has medication for it already. Definitely eat small meals and snacks throughout the day! I'll be flying to New Orleans in April when I'm ~27w. OB said it was okay and to walk around and drink fluids. Let me know how it goes and if you have any tips.

@hopeful_mom fingers crossed with your glucose test results! I think house cleaning definitely counts as cleaning! I'm not burping all day but I'm usually bloated as soon as I start eating breakfast. I have to take belly pics first thing in the morning or I'd like look I'm 9 months. LOL Has your OB said anything about your indigestion?  Oh! There was another pregnant woman at the gym using the weight lifting equipment. Now that's who should be praised. LOL I've hurt my back twice since November so I'm trying to strengthen my back but I don't always remember to do any exercises. Yesterday was probably a fluke because it was a day off from work.

@laurad75 Welcome! Walking is great and strenght training is impressive, so keep at it while you have the energy! We took our dog for a 2-mile walk on Saturday but I reminded DH that I'd be super slow especially uphill. LOL

    oops deleting my double post
  • @jr102217 haven't heard back from my OB yet, but I figured I'd get a call whenever she has an opening in her schedule.

@aera11 I'll be flying this weekend actually and my OB said this is the perfect time to fly as long as I get up and walk/stretch at least every hour and stay hydrated. I would also add, if you have a carryon - maybe see if someone can help you put it up above if it's heavy?
  • @jr102217 I've never had acid reflux or heartburn pre-pregnancy so I didn't know what to expect, but that's helpful your DH already has meds on standby for you!  I'm actually going up New Orleans in April too for my sisters wedding...I'll be 31 weeks so cutting it close!

@mtpbadger yeah mine said it's a great time to fly too but it still makes a little nervous, no idea why bc I love to travel.  I think it's bc I'm going without DH so I'm on my own if something happens.  I'm checking my bag (although watching penis straws going through security would be hilarious) but that's a good reminder for future travel :)
  • @Aera11 I flew early in the pregnancy around 8weeks.  I got up and moved around more than normal, it was a miserable experience but that was more due to morning sickness which was extra triggered by smells and motion.  Not so good for a flight.  Still even with that it was do-able I would just suggest reserving an aisle seat so its easy to get into your seat and get up whenever you want.

@hopeful_mom You are so not alone on the burping it was my first symptom and my god I sound disgusting pretty much all the time.

@mtpdader I think it’s impossible not to be scared when spotting happens I would be in the same boat.  I’m glad its pretty much gone and do whatever you need to in order to ease your mind.  A day of rest sounds like a perfect prescription!  Also I’m party of the toilet paper checking club as well.

@laurad75 congrats on officially making it to the second trimester J

@jr1102217 I was actually seeing a regular therapist before and I got more out of my two sessions with the RE one than I did with several of the other one.  I think they are just so familiar with the issues that come with IF/PGAL and you don’t have to spend as much time explaining…If your meeting with the other therapist is a bust I would recommend reaching back out to your RE for a recommendation or to see someone in their office.

@mtpbadger glad things are slowing down and you're feeling better...I'm a born again virgin!  I'm too nervous and it helps that OH is in the dog house too ;)  I'm panicked every time I go to the bathroom.

@Aera11 hey lady i think we were posting at the same time last night,  can't believe your trip is already here!  Have a fantastic time!! Sorry you're suffering!  It sux so bad.  I'm on prescription meds to help but still need tums too. @jr102217 the meds were from my OB.  I lived on tums but they started making me sick, then we tried pepsid but still in such discomfort.  I know got the smooth tums and those seem to go down easier.  I need quite a few through the day whether eating or not along with the meds!

Laughing about eating making you look 9months!  You took the words right out of my mouth!  I do have a bump BUT I swear after I eat I'm huge!!

As for walking - I was walking with my mom today and I had to tell her to slow down for the old pregnant lady  :D

  • @mtpbadger so glad your spotting is disappearing and you are feeling baby girl moving. I remember spotting after sex with DS' pregnancy around 18 weeks, it's unnerving.
@Hopeful_mom yes with the burping! Heartburn is real
@Aera11 glad I'm not the only one STILL checking the TP every now. It's automatic.
    @laurad75 welcome to 2nd trimester!! :)

AFM I'm 23 weeks today and feeling good! Can't complain. I have mild annoyances like heartburn and aches/pains but I know it could be so much worse. My in laws are coming to visit this weekend and I know they're bringing down stuff for baby girl. MIL is so excited since it's her first granddaughter.

My next appt is March 1 for a regular prenatal checkup
  • @laurad75 welcome to the 2nd tri! Congrats on the boy!
@mtpbadger even though it's probably noting to worry about, it's still so scary! I fear spotting.
I'm a toilet paper inspector myself. I wonder if I'll keep the weird habit after giving birth.

I'm sorry for all you ladies suffering from heartburn :( I've had acid reflux a handful of times and it's awful, can't imagine having the constant pain of heartburn.

so anyone experience their hands falling asleep while sleeping? It's the weirdest thing. If I lay on my left side, my right hand falls asleep, and vice versa.

For those further along in the 2nd tri, when did you pop? I'm 19+3 and while I have a lovely muffin top and pooch that refuse to join into one bump, the only thing that's really grown is my butt. It grew out and up, to the point where I feel like I'm probably gonna carry the baby in my butt. :/ a butt baby, great!
  • @coco35 you just made me LOL literally and say thats ME!!!  Everyone has these lovely bumps and I have not felt that way about my bump.  i've been sporting my own muffin top so baby did have a bit to battle with.  I swear at both appt with my OB and high risk dr I asked if my bump is growing normally cause its not one.  Its like I have 2 bumps that need to meet. They assured me I was fine and on point! I almost felt like I popped more on top then the bottom and I still feel that way actually.  I want to say my bump started to show a lil at 5 months but its first now at 6 months that my family can honestly see a bump on me.  My ass has totally perked up that much more so I'm so glad to have some company! :)  All my mom keeps telling me is every ones bump grows differently.  If you haven't noticed one yet I feel like its coming soon!!

As for hands falling asleep, yes I do find my hands fall asleep when laying on my sides...but between my hips bothering me that takes more of a back seat.  But its not vice versa the hand that falls asleep is the same side for me.

  • @coco305 my bump started getting noticeable just after 20 weeks but could still pass for “I just ate too much”. Between 20 and 21 weeks it has def grown and I finally feel like I “look” pregnant.

Spotting has turned brown which relaxes me and holy moly was little girl active last night which was the most reassuring thing ever!! DH got to feel lots of kicks and we honestly sat on the couch for a good hour just feeling her move and we’re in complete awe that we get to experience this!
  • Hump day bump day. Here’s mine last week at 23 weeks. I would take one today but I’m too busy laying on the couch being a potato. :)
  • So cute @Holls214

    Here's mine
  • Awe love it!!!

  • Here's mine! I always have to take the pic before I eat breakfast or I look like I'm 9 months, not 19w. LOL

  • @TravelingCoupleit's like a reflexive habit I can't stop.

@Hopeful_mom ugh I know! And I'm experiencing shortness of breath; I probably did the stairs too many times in a row during my packing frenzy but I'm like winded.

@coco305 I think I popped around 16/17 w but it found still pass as bloat/blumo.  For sure by 19 though.  I'm 5'3 & there isn't anywhere for this baby to go but out.

    love those bumps @Holls214 @TravelingCouple & @jr102217 :)

excuse the mess in mine, trying to pack but 23w tomorrow!

  • @aera11 Have fun in New Orleans! I'm looking forward to the trip as well. I didn't have as much fun in Orlando around New Year's with all the walking, so we'll see how this goes.

@2momsHoping great tip about getting an aisle seat! You make a good point about the therapist's specialist. She seems to be specific to OB, so I hope it goes well.

@Hopeful_mom good ol' slow digestive system! LOL

@travelingcouple hope you have a great weekend with your in-laws! That's exciting to get stuff to add to your nursery for the baby.

@coco305 YES! I've woken up several times with my hands feeling numb or tingling. I thought it was because I was sleeping on my back but it also happens now when I'm on my side.

@mtpbadger glad your little girl was active after that spotting scare. I can't wait to feel the baby move and kick!

AFM, I thought I was going crazy this morning! Ironically it was about my rescheduled therapy appointment. LOL The therapist called yesterday afternoon to reschedule it from Fri AM to Thurs PM. Early this morning, I woke up in the middle of the night from a crazy dream so I checked on my dog downstairs and couldn't fall back asleep. DH came downstairs to check on us when his alarm woke him up, and I fell back asleep in bed before he left for work. But then I saw this morning that a portal message confirmed my appointment for Fri afternoon not Thurs afternoon. I could've sworn we agreed to Thurs afternoon and then I thought, I'm going to a therapy appointment and I'm going crazy! How appropriate! I didn't think it was "pregnancy brain" because I blocked off the time on my work calendar too. Anyways, I spoke to like 3 different scheduling people before they called her and confirmed that the portal system hadn't updated yet and it IS for this afternoon. *phew* After my weird vivid dreams earlier this morning and my usual anxiety, I'm looking forward to getting some me time with a professional.

  • Loving the bumps ladies! :) good luck with your appointment today. Glad you got things figured out.
I had my extra ultrasound today to measure my cervix again. Baby is doing great and heartbeat is strong. I’m super worried about my cervix size. She took a lot of tome measuring then had to have a second nurse come in and do measurements again to check the size. Ahhhhh it’s going to be a long day or so waiting for the doctor to call.

  • @coco305 I have the felling I’m going to be in your boat too.  When I gain weight I always get the lower pooch and a belly roll/love handles.  I’m still earlier than you but all I have is a pooch that is maybe a bit firmer.  I was actually looking it up and I guess it’s an actual thing and called a B-belly, I wish I was getting a cute bump though I hear the bump comes it’s just usually later if you happen to have that body type.  But hey on the upside I say embrace your new derriere butts are very in these days ;)

@mtpdager so happy your little girl is giving you flips of reassurance and things have cleared up.

@jr102217 good luck at your appointment today.  Me time is so important!

    Cute bumps @holls214, @travelingcouple, and @aera11!!!

@holls214 I hope you get a good phonecall from your OB fingers crossed for you.

  • Hey guys. LOVING the bump pictures.  I haven't been able to get on much this week because I'm insanely busy with work but I am reading and keeping up :)
I 'think' I felt some movement! It might be because I'm so insanely focused on feeling her move and because I've had an excessive amount of cheese in my diet.  I sure am hoping it is her wiggling around.  I always get so much anxiety when it's been a long time since the OB or heard her heartbeat.  My next appointment is March 1st so just a week (just like you @TravelingCouple) .  I'm glad I'll have the anatomy scan March 14th so there won't be as many weeks between appointments.  When does it start going to every 2 weeks instead of every 4? IF messed me up and I always assume there is an issue.

@mtbadger I'm so glad things are going so well after a little scare.  This is why sex is just unnecessary during pregnancy.  Okay so maybe not unnecessary but potentially anxiety provoking.  Maybe I'm the only one that has hubs on lock down.

@Holls214 I hope your day isn't full of too much anxiety waiting to hear.  Sounds super uncomfortable.

@jr102217 You aren't going crazy! I feel the exact same way about the dream thing.  Why does nobody talk about the vivid dreams? I hadn't heard of it before getting pregnant and it's so insane!!! I'm glad I'm not the only one.  They really set the vibe for the whole rest of the day.

@coco35 I am the exact same way with my bump.  I look like I let myself go over the holidays and can't get it together.  It started in my upper legs and then love handle game and now it looks more like there is potentially a baby but also looks like I'm constipated. The struggle is so real.  I have full blown bump envy on this site :)

I'm sure I'm missing people but I wanted to check in and say I love the bump pictures. I'll take a picture of my 'bump' next Wednesday when it is hopefully more bump and less dump. xoxo

@irisheyes81 sorry you're so busy BUT I'm sure it helps the time go by!  I bet you are starting to feel a lil something and then when you really can tell the difference you'll be wowed!  And you're not alone on the lock down...I've said earlier I"m like a born again virgin...I'm terrified and also spotted till about wk 17 so theres that too.  I"m sometimes jealous of other pregnant woman that literally go about life like nothing when pregnant...like its just another day, and its soooo not like that for me!!

OMG these bumps are soooo great!!!  cute!!  I thought of all of you as I looked 9 months after eating last night...my bump still hasn't fully met I think, but it looks ginormous...enjoy!

25 weeks looking more like 35 :D  (pardon the dirty mirror, good grief!) This dress does help extenuate the belly and its after eating to make it look that much better ;)

  • @Hopeful_mom loving the bump and that dress is gorge! I love that color. :) No update from the doctor yet. I am also a born again virgin. Poor hubs. I think we have done it twice since finding out we were pregnant. I now have a polyp on my cervix that the doctor said could bleed if we had sex, but not to worry about it and I for sure don't want to see any unnecessary blood, so again nothing for him... :(

  • @holls214 I thought I was the only on in the no sex boat, I think I have you beat at only once and after I threw up well more ran off during (though to be fair at that time any movement kinda did that to me).  I've had no sex drive and have felt just gross and tired and fell like I look about the same plus I think that one experience kinda scared both of us.  lol I thought the sex life wasn't supposed to suffer until the baby was born!  Though I'm feeling better and we actually planned a date night for Saturday so....maybe I can reverse that dry spell ;)

  • Question for the group about social media pregnancy announcements.

DW is a super techy social media type.  Me not so much, I'm pretty private.  It means a lot to her to announce on social media but dreading it because:
    1-PGAL Brain
2-I know how crummy it can feel to see an announcement
3-I feel like just posting a happy little pregnancy announcement misrepresents the absolute hell and sacrifice it took to get here.

But it is important to her so I agreed we would announce our "lucky rainbow baby" on St. Patrick's day  when I'll be 19weeks.  I'm debating doing a little video about our journey for the announcement to show all the failures maybe some throwing of negative pregnancy tests, stacking bills, etc. to try to show the reality of infertility so maybe people will understand.  But here is the thing I'm the opposite of attention seeking and so this is so out of my comfort zone.  I'm worried about private me opening myself up to a lot of opinions and attention which I would hate.  I have been very quiet about all of this so I think it also some people might be offended I didn't share before...but at the same time I know other peoples stories about IF and loss really helped me feel less alone, defective, hopeless in the dark times and I would really like to be one of those folks who is giving a little bit of a voice to those that are in silence.  I'm just torn.  Sorry I know I'm rambling...

So I need opinions yay or nay on the potential "overshare"

  • @2MomsHoping I think your announcement idea is great. I did an announcement before our transfer about everything we had been through infertility wise and it really helped people understand what we had been through. I even had some girl acquaintances reach out to me to tell me their stories and offer support. It kind of felt freeing although it was scary.
Yeah the no sex thing is hard. I feel the same way too about feeling icky so just not wanting to do it and just having no drive to at all. Poor significant others. Hubs last night was like well it is what it is and if you are not comfortable then he doesn’t want to do it either.

  • I like the announcements with all the IVF related needles around the ultrasound photo. I was totally going to do it, but I threw all of my sharps containers out last time I was decluttering the shelves and wasn't thinking about it
