My paralegal is driving me nuts again. We were doing better for a while after I gave him some extensive constructive criticism but now he is back to his old ways of effing stuff up and vanishing without telling me (apparently he took a vacation day on Friday and notified this other group he works for but not me so I was trying to hunt him down all morning before I got wind of his vacation day from a third party). His job is largely to make my life easier by handling the non-legal aspects of my job, and instead he creates additional stress for me. Gah.

My road rage has been so bad lately, and it translates to crowds of people walking now too! We were at the zoo a little while back and I couldn't understand howfuckinghard is it to NOT stop in the middle of the path?!? With your entire party of 13 it's now impossible to navigate around you!

DH’s boss can go fuck herself. DH worked 5am-9am on Saturday, left to join me at a Cub Scout function, then went straight back to work and left at 7pm. It ended up being 10 hours on Saturday. He was getting sick, so his boss told him to take yesterday off. She then called him back in at 8:30pm on Saturday, and he left around 12:30am. So that put him up to 14 hrs on Saturday. Then she called him back in on Sunday, despite him telling her he had a 103 degree fever and could barely function. He worked 3 hours yesterday. She called him again at home yesterday to make sure he was coming in today so he could order things for her.
He went in at 5am this morning, after he almost passed out in our bathroom. I was seriously worried he’d even be able to drive to work. The bitch finally realized he was seriously sick and sent him home this morning. He’s been sleeping ever since, and I’ll probably have to take him to urgent care this afternoon. If the bitch would’ve just let him go home on Saturday and let him rest instead of calling and forcing him to go in yesterday, he’d probably be in better shape today.
Plus 1 for road rage. People around here can’t wait their turn at a 4 way stop and blow through red lights. Also, the lack of yielding when merging onto the interstate makes me crazy. People just go and expect the traffic to yield. Um, no. DH taught ds to say “old people can’t drive”, which is funny but also kind of terrible.
Add me to road rage. My light turned green the other day and some a hole pulling out of a gas station motioned for me to stop and pulled out in front of me. I’m pretty sure that’s not how it works. You are not the stop light.
Then yesterday I was in stop & start freeway traffic and was watching the lady behind me text in the review as she was driving. I just kept praying she would see traffic had stopped again and not rear end me. WTF is wrong with people.
ETA - our small town just added a traffic circle. No one gets it. I was in said circle and someone pulled in RIGHT in front of me, didn’t look at the huge yield sign. There was lots of cursing and cupcake purchasing.
+1 road rage. The amount of people in grey/silver cars in particular who drive without headlights in a dark foggy downpour just boggle my mind. Don't honk at me because I pulled out in front of you, if you had headlights on I'd know you were there.
Or lack of turn signals. I'm beginning to think that people believe it gives you herpes or something if you use that knob. Don't just stop abruptly in the middle of the flow of traffic to turn.

I'd work for the city police for free if I could hand out tickets to these asshats.
Lol we’re gettinf more traffic circles here and honestly I hate them because people here don’t get how they work, especially multi lane ones. The ones in the UK can be 3 or 4 lanes but people here can’t figure out 1

My favorite diner closed permanently yesterday. Buses don't run today, so H has to leave work early to run me to my Doctor appointment. I'm so ready for Spring. At least temps above 0° would be nice right now!
I really hate all of the customers lately, they are all so entitled and needy. Not all are bad but I keep getting the worst ones while I’m on register, it’s like they search me out. It’s amazing I haven’t lost my job yet. I’ve bitten my tongue so much it’s amazing it’s still attached
Road rage is often my first pregnancy symptom. And drivers here in SoCal are the absolute worse. I have to literally tell myself to take deep breaths while I'm driving nowadays so I don't get all worked up.

I'm crabby already so everything is annoying me today. We had a marketing partnership with this kid who claims he's a photographer, he gets a free rental and we get free marketing photos. I explained in his contract the mileage isn't included in the free daily rate he's receiving and now he's returning with an insane amount of over miles and complaining that "the girl who checked him out didn't tell him that." I have purple hair, how can you forget I'm the "girl who checked you out" 4 days ago? I know for a fact I told him AND it's on the contract that he signed. Now he's going up the chain to the director of marketing complaining and I guarantee he's going to get comped.
I hate self righteous people. When he left he was taking pictures on his phone and I saw zero camera gear. Yeah, I'm sure you're a "photographer." UGH. I should not be dealing with customers today.

Found our today that DS got hand foot and mouth from daycare. Apparently 7 kids were out last week just in his class—nobody told us. Today was picture day and he had a small rash on his face this morning but I thought it was from drool (teething and cold), but it was so much worse when I picked him up 6 hours later. Sooo annoyed. The only good thing is that I think he has he actual “sickness” part of it last week because he acts unbothered by it now. AND the kicker is DH has it too. Ugh.

Anything with a fever is not great, but it’s also not as common for adults to get it. Basically you’ll hear that about any illness, but upon further research.... It’s really just a higher risk for a pregnant woman to get any illness in general.
@coffeecocktailsandcake I’m one of those who won’t walk at the edge in the parking lot. Too many shitty drivers who don’t check before they back up! Especially now that DS is with me most of the time, I just won’t risk it!
We have this joke that if you’re stuck in bad traffic for no reason or someone is going super slow, it’s “always a Buick.” You watch, it almost always is and is also usually beige.
Oh god HFM is awful. My friend got it when we were all pregnant in our d14 bmb and she got it baaaaaad. Both of my kids have had it and I’ve always felt awful for them, it looks so miserable. I hope it passes fast @kburg15

Lets see, I've had a shit day. Can def commiserate about road rage I cannot handle dangerous drivers rn.
One of my sewers (who is usually amazing) is more than a week behind on delivering my Spring 2018 collection. I had to yell at him which I didn't want to do cause that's not something I like doing. Then I pick up my jackets from him and he sewed ALL of the pockets on lopsided, wtf, he's never done that (this was before I had to yell at him so it wasn't in retaliation). I picked up my lookbooks and they are pixelated and yellow (and I leave with them for NY market week early Wednesday am), I cut over 500 fabric swatches for my line sheets, another sewer screwed up 15 out of 50 dresses, it was just a crap day. Icing on the cake I ordered a vegetarian burrito for take out, got home and realized they didn't put beans in it... just rice and lettuce and tortilla.
He’s a maintenance tech. So if something breaks and he’s on call, he has to go in to fix it. He’s not working as much now as he did at his old job when DS was born. He basically lived at the old place. But still, if you’re sick you’re sick, and sometimes you shouldn’t be there at all.
