I'll kick it off! We are having twins (boy and girl) and sooo many people have asked if we are going to dress them alike. That is not my jam at all. My aunt dressed up all three of her girls (8 years apart) in matching dresses for every family photo so maybe I've just been turned off to the whole idea of it.
Now, we did get a cute set of bibs that say "He Did It" <-> "She Did It" that they can wear and that's adorable to me. So I'm sure some natural coordination will happen but other than that, no plan.
@nhardler my mom used to dress me in mini outfits to match hers. When I got older and saw pictures, I totally judged her. But now I flipped again and think mommy and me outfits are kinda sweet. I'm not sure how I feel about siblings in coordinating outfits. The "he/she did it" bibs sounds super cute though.
@nhardler, we have b/g twins and I love getting or making them matching or corresponding shirts. I also do the same with 2 sets of pajamas for every season. I can't help it. I just made them matching v day shirts. They've also had "womb mate" shirts, pb and j shirts, "born first"/ "show off" shirts, they each have a shirt that says "small" and I wear one that says "you're killing me smalls". I just love it. I'm sure they'll hate me when they look back at photos, but it's so cute to me that I don't care.
I didn't dress my identical girls in matching outfits, except when people would buy them for me. I've always tried to foster the concept that they're two different people, not just two halves of a pair. Plus, I just didn't have the time or motivation to find matching stuff all the time. However, for certain "special" things (especially when they were smaller), we would normally buy two of the same dress/swimsuit/whatever because if I found one I liked (and I usually shop for sales), why not just buy two and call it a day? Otherwise, I do try to coordinate sometimes- maybe the same outfit in different colors, different outfits in similar color schemes or put them both in different Paw Patrol Tshirts that day or whatever. As they get older, I will definitely let them have more say in buying and wearing their own clothes.

I love matching/coordinating outfits! Not for every day but definitely for special occasions. I forced my husband into matching family Christmas pjs this year and have also bought a few matching brother outfits
@sandbar517, yeah I do that too! If one wears their Ninja Turtle shirt, they both do. Or they'll both wear their NFL or MLB gear. We have such a limited time to dress them without their input and I'm taking full advantage.
@clee5711, I'm excited to make sibling outfit sets too! Especially if this is a girl. Definitely matching dresses for several occasions.
@suchaglencoco I do love the coordinated outfits! We received the Born First/Show Off onesies as a gift, and some "Drinking Buddies" bibs which just cracked me up. I'm not opposed to the coordination happening naturally, I guess I'm just not making a concerted effort
But then, my mind will probably change when they're here and I think they're adorable in anything! Ha ha!
@nhardler I totally get it! It's just so cute to see them toddling around in matching or coordinating shirts - even if I'm the only who who sees them. I was pretty bad their first year and if one wore a onesie with a saying, the other needed to as well. That was a little crazy, I'll admit, but still cute.
I think the funniest (most ironic?) time we matched them was when we bought them sweatshirts that said, "My Daddy thinks I'm One of a Kind." and they wore them on the same day
