Yesterday I had to wait from lunch time until the end of the school day to pee. All of the staff restrooms were taken, so I had to use the student restroom. The only one available had both specks of poop and period blood on it. Couldn’t wait. And you know when you hold your pee for so long you just keep peeing and peeing until you feel like you’re going to overflow the toilet? OMG, I didn’t think I would ever stop peeing. And the whole time I’m thinking “No, I can’t fill up this disgusting toilet!” How are teenage girls so gross?
@ecwk I like when they take care of my ingrown toenails lol. They're never bad enough that they're infected or anything but it is super satisfying when they remove them.
Here's my TMI - maybe more a FFFC? - But I've never had a pedicure. People touching my feet just weirds me out. I don't even let H do it, unless I'm in a LOT of pain. I lotion them occasionally, but never really do anything to take care of them. My feet look like sticks of dried beef.
I love those Tony Moly and the other peels that make all the dead skin fall off your feet. Makes me feel like I lost 10lbs. I don't think it's probably safe pregnant though....sigh.
I've never had a manicure. I grow the worlds worst fingernails. They're flimsy, I can literally bend them every which way, and no amount of vitamins/minerals has ever changed it. So I keep them cut short, and it works for me. I had long fake nails for my wedding, my mom insisted I try to look "girly". I literally couldn't zip my pants by myself or put my contacts in or take them out. I felt like an invalid for that entire week and I actually celebrated getting the damn things off. They even hurt my nail bed, like since my nails are so thin and flexible it forced my nail bed into a weird shape that made my fingernails ache while they were on.
I've never had a pedicure either. I just never could justify the $30+ cost when I could have my husband rub lotion on my feet, trim my nails, and paint them when he's in the mood for free. Now my heels are another story, I apparently make too much skin that doesn't naturally slough off, so I end up with super rough, calloused, and cracked heels. I've struggled since childhood with it. I have my own dedicated Microplane, yes, like you zest citrus with in your kitchen to do my heels after every shower. It's the only contraption that's lasted the last 10+ years without needing to be sharpened, or breaking. And hey, it works.
Now I'd love a facial to exfoliate the hell out of my face. It's a freaking snow storm every time I scratch or rub my forehead or eyebrows. I'm even grossed out by it.
@neeraja_k gross, but the $ store has actual foot grinders. They are just like a zester but made for your heel calouses. Just an FYI if you ever need one quickly.

My feel are gross, and I would never let anyone touch them. And I'm stingy with my money and could never spring for it anyway. I have had like 2 manicures in my life though, both for weddings.
I adore having a pedicure done in the 3rd tri. When my feet are so swollen they get stretch marks of their own.
My TMI is I have worse gas than our dogs have ever had. I get these cravings for soggy tortilla/dried out filling burritos from a gas station, and at 1 am I could power a furnace.

See, I don't spend a lot of money on clothes or things by myself but I will spend money on a good massage, facial and pedicure. Manicure, eh, I ruin paint jobs within a week so those are a waste to me, and I do them myself.
When I was little my dad used to do my mom's feet for her, like paint and everything. I used to think it was so sweet! My DH hates feet and won't even touch our son's, let alone mine haha.
@neeraja_k I am so jealous YH will rub your feet, MH has like a foot phobia and freaks out if my feet so much as touch him. My feet aren't *that* gross, I swear. But I do love doing BabyFeet and then picking the skin off. I also clip my toenails at our coffee table while watching TV which totally disgusts DH even though I do it over a paper towel and discard the clippings immediately.
My super gross one for the day: my nose has been more stuffed up than ever before in my life lately (I am sure combo of pregnancy and weather), and every morning I have been hardcore picking it with a Kleenex and then thoroughly examining the Kleenex with disgust/fascination.

@legallykate You sound like me. A few days ago I used my neti pot because there was something "up there" impeding my air flow in a serious way and I could not blow it out or reach it. It was also sitting on the "sneeze nerve", every time I would inhale I could feel it move ever so slightly, and then I'd have a sneezing fit. So I did the flush and then blew into a tissue, it was huge. I felt so proud it came out. Like a winner, I've been breathing fine since. heh
TMI on the nose stuffiness... the last few days I’ve woke up with the same congestion but with blood now. It’s so much fun. Lol. As soon as I blow it out in the morning, I’m good to go.
I love mani/pedis. I suck at doing my own nails, so that's my biggest self-care splurge.
I'm still peeing like crazy. On Sunday I peed right before we left the restaurant to walk to Barnes and Noble and had to pee so badly by the time we got there that I almost didn't make it to the bathroom. I was seriously less than a minute away from an accident.

@jsnakehole same! Terrible at doing them myself so I'll get them done every few weeks as a treat. I did get a gel nail kit because I didn't want to leave DD when she was a newborn and I was already feeling guilty about being gone all week and only getting to spend time with her on the weekends. Anyways, I found that the gel polish is way easier and you don't have to worry about smudging them once done because the uv sets it and they'll stay for a good few weeks without chipping. Still use that if I'm in a pinch to make my nails look nice!
