    One might think Matthew is the most common or boring but in a sea of Austin’s and Mason’s I think it would stand out as a rare classic.

    @mb0112 - I think the issue is that my husband is reluctant to use Matthew because he has two good high school friends with the name. And neither of us know any Austins, Archers, or Masons. (I did have a college class once with a Mason, but he's the only one I've ever met.)

    That would feel weird I guess, almost like he naming after a Matthew. Of the other 3 I like Mason best.  Austin and Archer are too trendy for me.
