Fit Mom Friday 2/9

Starting another thread today! ☺

How's it going, mamas? I've not done nearly as much lifting lately but I am still trying to do 30 minutes of some kind of exercise most days of the week, even if it's just walking. We have a gym at work so it's super convenient. I'm going to be sad when I quit and don't have this anymore!

  • UGH well I had a huge anxiety attack on Tuesday when I teach Bodypump and so I have decided to put teaching on hiatus, at least until after baby to assess if I want to do it and can with two kids.  So yeah, haven't worked out in a week.  DH is out of town so that makes it harder. I'm less motivated to use my home gym than actually get dressed and go to the real gym for some reason (LOL) which I can't do with DS at the moment.

    I did take the dog for a 45 minute walk on Monday though, so does that count?  I'm getting sad about my loss of muscle tone, but it's really my own fault right now. I need to find the motivation and the guilt that I usually have about working out.

    I did sign up for a 7 week prenatal yoga session my co-worker teaches that starts in March though.

  • I went to my first BodyPump class in about 2 months this week, and I am in such pain! It totally kicked my butt. That is about all I have the opportunity for this week since DH's work schedule is crazy and the lack of a sitteer (or wanting to pay a sitter) for the kid!
  • @suzystar829 what release is your gym doing - 104? That's a tough one!
  • @scottishlass1213 Yes! It was the last week of 104 then they will mix it up with old releases until 105 is ready. My body has been so unhappy since then haha
  • That lunge track is killer with the fast lunges. I was huffing and puffing into the mic trying to talk and perform the moves haha  It's a great release though, one of my favorites!
  • I went back to the gym today for the first time in 3 months and did a prenatal yoga class! My goal is to go twice next week, hopefully I won’t be so exhausted as I have been

  • I've been slacking on workouts this past week. I had a cold a few weeks ago and it took me a while before I felt up to exercise. Had my cerclage put in Friday so I imagine I'll be laying low for a few days. I'd like to go to yoga and dance on Wednesday though. 
  • @lalala2004 I'm with you! Haven't been doing anything. I'm hoping this second trimester energy might kick in any day now 
  • +1 for doing nothing since I got the flu, but I’m better now and plan on getting back to my normal yoga schedule this week.
