I don't get why people are so upset about how Jack died. We all knew he'd die. They talked about the fire all the time. People were expecting some huge plot twist. Why? I know they said it wouldn't be what we thought, but were they expecting he'd be abducted by aliens? Or that he got hit by the fire truck? Or choked on a nut in a waiting room????
@suchaglencoco I agree. We’ve known for a year that it was going to happen eventually. He’s obviously not going to be totally absent from the show just yet.
I think what was annoying about it was the reason he inhaled more smoke. It was just dumb. That's basically the first safety lesson you learn. In general, I didn't like the episode as much as the one last season with William's death. I haven't made it through the episode from Tuesday. I am over crying over the same thing and i think the show might have jumped the shark. Also, the doctor still remembered her first and last name 17 years later? My OB doesn't know my name now and it's my second baby with the practice.
@nanifrog I agree this season seems "eh" to me. And I think he remembered because A, it was super unusual circumstances. Especially with them adopting a child of another race back then. B, I remember an episode where Kate (I think) needed surgery (I think, haha) and the ob was in the hospital for another reason. So they visited with him and introduced the kids to him. Again, I think, hahaha. My memory is gone at this point in my life!!! And C, ***** may be a spoiler from the recent episode*****
The ob tells Rebecca that Jack would visit him over the years to look for advice.
I don’t know how the show is going to continue to sustain itself - but I’m also a non-watcher. I mean - Greys Anatomy is on like season 42,000 now so what do I know?
Which brings us to UO: Greys Anatomy wasn’t worth watching anymore after George died and it has for sure jumped the shark.
@pandakov I agree that Greys isn’t as good since George died but I’ve drank the koolaid and can’t stop watching even though a lot of episodes are just eh.
@suchaglencoco yes, the circumstances are unusual. I get remembering her, but remembering every detail of every conversation plus first and last name? Eh. I just finished the most recent episode and I'm really not sure I'm gonna makes it through the next season. ***Spoiler and prediction alert*** I think it's going to be the same thing if watching s character die, just the brother this time.
I’m curious to see where they go with the third generation grown up like they showed Randall’s daughter in the super bowl episode. Haven’t watched the Tuesday episode yet since our power went out and it didn’t record.

I'd love to learn about Toby. Or Beth.
