TTC after 35

Intro & Over 40! (tw: child mentioned/loss mentioned)

Hey ladies! Hopefully my siggy shows my details. Anyone else over 40 and TTC? We have a 2.5 yo and have been TTC #2 with no luck. I'm currently 11DPO & near the end of my TWW. AF is due Saturday and my RE wants me to call to schedule CD3 bw & u/s. I'm not sure that we'll pursue IUI/IVF. I really just want the HSG & SHG done again to check the condition of my uterus & tubes, especially after having a c-section. We do have benefits but still the OOP may be just enough to box us out. I'm an unemployed teacher and a SAHM with one salary and a *very* tight budget. We just bought our first house this summer so money is extremely tight. I found myself needing to chat with others about my journey but I feel like I'm in limbo on these boards, like I'm not sure where I fit in. I was very active on these boards when we were TTC #1 and it became very consuming. Too much drama and I just had to cut ties. But, I'm here looking for support and am more than willing to give it, if you'll have me!

  • Welcome! I’m similar to you, I’m 43 and dd just turned 4 last month. Have been TTC for 2-1/2 years now. Check out our weekly threads- everyone here is super supportive and we are low in drama!

  • @mich_elle Welcome! Come on over to our weekly thread and it’s  definitely no drama here!! No one has time for that! Lol I really hope your stay here is short!
  • @Momifbysea thank you! HB to your LO :) We've been TTC #2 for a total of 8 months. When we learned about the family trip to the Philippines with my husband's family, I was so torn. On one hand, we all wanted to go because this was a once-in-a-lifetime type of trip. On the other, I knew I'd lose at least 1/2 a year of time. But, if it were a trip that my family wanted me to take, he would never deny me so we went. I try to let it go because the past is already written but it's getting harder and harder as the months pass. I will definitely hop on to the weekly thread. Best of luck to you!

@ndz2018 thanks for the welcome! I'll check out the weekly thread. Same to you and best of luck!
