I hate when people say "T&P" to someone obviously going through something painful. All I think about is toilet paper and I feel like the least you can do is type it out. Or say "you're in my thoughts" T&P is just so lazy. You might as well not say anything at all.

I told DH I bought my car (chevy traverse) b/c I wanted to get something with more than enough towing power for his boat. I really bought it so I could seat seven and wouldn't need to buy the minivan he kept insisting we should buy if we decided to try for a family.

@galactickates I feel the same way about HBD for Happy Birthday. If you can't take the 3 seconds to type it out then you really shouldn't bother.

@galactickates - ME TOO! The same goes for people who text things like "HBD" instead of happy birthday. So sorry that sincerity is SUCH an inconvenience.

I just want to say I hate abbreviations in general...the only reason I do ANY is because it seems to be a big deal in forums. But I generally stay away from them in any other written format. (I really hate that my grandma texts things like "u" instead of "you" and "r" instead of "are". I'm like..grandma...are you trying to be cool? Cause...that's not cool, it's annoying. I love you but STOP. lol <--(hey look an abbreviation)

I bought my wife a sandwich from Jimmy Johns and took it to her work today.

Seems thoughtful, yes? Well, perhaps 20% of the reason why I did it is because I care about her but honestly 80% of the reason is because if she doesn't eat lunch she comes home hangry and it's less work to go to a shop, buy a sandwich, and deliver it to her office than it is to endure her unpleasant mood after work

I mean, wow, she is the textbook definition of hangry when she doesn't eat! She swears she can get along fine without food but I know better.

The reason she was initially lunchless today is because she thought she'd be able to go home to eat but had too many appointments. Stress + no food = crazy hangry. Not in the mood to deal with that today.

I just bought a swimsuit. I have no need for another swimsuit. We have no upcoming plans to be near water any time soon. But, my excuse/justification is, I have it in my mind that once you hit a certain age it's no longer acceptable to wear a bikini. So i bought a one piece. I tried it on for MH when I got home and he hates it... I'll probably be returning it.

@LJMoon6 I exclusively wear bikinis because I hate tan lines (a carry over from horrible lines from water polo suits) but I just bought a one piece for an upcoming cruise. I’ve yet to see it in person, but I’m unusually excited about it.

@meggyme I hate tan lines too! But I have some bad scares on my belly now and to be honest I'm not as skinny as I used to be. I do really like this one piece! It's black and slimming. I think I might actually keep it. I don't care what DH thinks! At least I feel more comfortable.
