  • @ndz2018 ah I'm sorry your benched but I gotta say my drug free cycle before jumping into IVF was amazing!!!

  • Beta today on 10dpo was essentially zero. I have one more beta on Monday. My plan was to wait until then to tell my sister, but I told her this evening. No point in waiting. She was difficult to tell. I don’t want her pity or guilt.

    We went for for sushi for dinner. My Ma called during dinner to tell me my 17 year old cousin died a few hours ago. Now, I need to decide to go to the funeral or do another cycle in February.  How do you choose that?  I shouldn’t have to choose. It makes me hate my job even more and makes me hate IF even more.

  • @jrm_14, oh no, what an awful day for you! I’m so sorry about your cousin and that you have to make such a hard choice. IF is emotionally exhausting enough on its own without anything else added in. *big hugs*
  • @tamalahoops thanks girl <3 after my doctor told us about the testing results he asked me if I wanted to know and I was so tempted but I held off! We originally said we always wanted to wait to do a gender reveal. My RE said he could always tell us at another time too if we wanted to know.

    @KristoKekerooni omg you have me literally crying over here. Thank you friend  <3 I am rooting you on so incredibly, unbelievably hard and pray that everything goes perfect tomorrow and that you get a great report. Looking forward to your update!

    @ndz2018 I’m sorry to hear about the delay! I know how exciting it gets to be closer and that you already had march on the timeline for an FET but I’m glad that you’re okay with the change in plan and seeing the positive about it!

    @Aurora1973 that’s a great question actually but I’ve heard doctors say it’s hard to tell egg quality even under a microscope. With follie size I know that it’s different for IUIs then for IVF. But even with IVF I’ve heard people doing retrieval cycles who triggered with larger follies who did better on another retrieval triggering with smaller follies and vice versa so I think it’s hard to say! I really hope you got the timing right!

    @shortstack930 ah you are getting so close!!! Fx that everything goes great on Monday!
  • @jrm_14 oh my goodness I’m so very sorry for your loss and the situation that you’re currently in. How unfair of a position to feel that you have to make a decision like that. Is it because of the financial piece or that work won’t give you time off? Do they not have a bereavement policy? So sorry that you’re going through all this. Hugs.
  • @jrm_14 oh wow I am so sorry for your loss and the decision ahead of you. It is so terrible that you’re in this position.

    @KristoKekerooni good luck tomorrow!!!

    @KristoKekerooni 25 IS AMAZEBALLS!!! CONGRATS!!!!

    @beachbunnyxo123 Can’t tell you how happy I am that you’re on track!! :)
  • @KristoKekerooni 25???? Wow!!! That’s amazing!!!  How are you feeling???
  • @KristoKekerooni Holy crap balls!  Your ovaries & RE could play a game of professional hide&seek!  What a relief for some good news.
  • @KristoKekerooni hope you're feeling better tomorrow!!! Do you have a heating pad?? It definitely helped me! I couldn't stand up straight the day of or the day after (we had the same number of eggs! I'm sure it adds to it) but 2 days after was much better! I was lightheaded for a few days too, my doc said it was from the anesthesia. I ended up taking 2 more days off of work bc of it! Did they give you anything to help make sure you don't get OHSS bc of your estrogen levels and number of eggs?
  • @KristoKekerooni Yeah you’re gonna be pretty sore. I felt pretty crappy for about 2 days by day 3 I was Feeling better but def took about 4-5 days to feel normal remember your estrogen was super high and they just got a bunch of eggs from you this is all to be expected. Stay hydrated , salty foods and REST UP! Take a hot bath or shower and crawl into bed.
  • @KristoKekerooni If pain worsens or is unbearable call your clinic and see if they will call something into the pharmacy to help for tonight. They should have an after hours number to call for emergency’s

    @shortstack930 FXing so hard for you <3
  • @KristoKekerooni oh no!! I’m sorry you’re in so much pain. Did they give you anything to take for it? I only work weekends so tonight is my last night and I took off next weekend because we’ll hopefully be doing the transfer so after tonight I’m off until the 16th!

  • @KristoKekerooni firstly glad you’re feeling better, and way to go, twelve mature is a really good number. Come on the six, now grow grow grow - and fx you get a few more from the other five!
    Do you still have the next week off work?

    @shortstack930 tomorrow is soon here - then time to get those eggies! It’s good you have the time off. DH has made me promise I will take the time off after transfer in future. There’s such different approaches recommend by REs, but surely doing nice things instead of working can’t do any harm...

  • @KristoKekerooni that is great news!!! Yay!! How often did they say they would update you on embryo progress? Also, is it definitely going to be a freeze all wasnt sure if a fresh transfer is still off the table? If so when would you be planning to do an FET?
