Hey everyone! Just found out this past Thursday (01/04) that we are expecting TWINS. I’m certainly overwhelmed and not sure what to expect. I am 8 weeks 1 day along, have had ZERO morning sickness, and am feeling nervous about what is going on. Baby A has a heartbeat of 146, and baby B is running at 153. Any other moms have advice on what to expect, doctor visits, advice on baby accessories for twins, etc. Am I worrying too much about not having morning sickness, or should I just feel blessed? Looking forward to hearing from you all!

ok so I get that this isn’t how you are meant to post, but I didn’t read the intros and was scanning the posts to see if there was anything about twins so I found it helpful to see this!
im 9 wks with twins too, found out at a dating scan when I was 6wks and was the shock of my life, but I think we are coming to terms with it now. We have a nearly 2y.o.daughter and only wanted 1 more kid, but are trying to get used to the idea of 2 more! How are you feeling? I think I have double the fatigue of my last pregnancy...
thank for for saying it was helpful! I did the same thing and when I didn’t see anything I create a post. It was definitely a shock for us as well. So many mixed emotions from being super excited, to nervous, and even some tears from being scared.
Honestly, I have had ZERO morning sickness, even to this day and I will be nine weeks tomorrow. As far as fatigue, I completely understand. I could literally sleep 22 hours a day lol. I feel like this pregnancy has me completely drained, but then again our bodies are now working for 3 as oppose to the Norma 2 with other pregnancies. I have been taking flinstone vitamins (2 per day as recommended by doctor) and a calcium pill (also doctor recommended) plus have been eating tons of fruits and veggies and it has been helping with the fatigue. While working, I’ve been drinking TONS of water, and even though it makes you have to pee every 20 mins, it has given me a little more of a boost. Good luck! We got this!

Look for local mom's of multiples groups, it's really helpful getting to meet seasoned twin mom's and having that community in person. Having multiples is lots of work but also a blast! Congrats again mamas!
Much better than throwing up the prenatal. Which I always did with my first. To the point I lost quite a bit of weight.
@dirtanddiamonds- I agree with what you said. I think it’s much better to take something that will agree with you, than to throw up the prenatal and get nothing at all. I don’t think my doctor, who is very experienced, would recommend I take something that isn’t going to be sufficient enough for myself and both babies. That is also why my doctor recommended that I take a calcium with the vitamins to make sure the dosage was enough. Good luck with #4!
I've actually been on PNVs for almost 10 years now. My OBGYN suggests that all women of child bearing age take PNVs instead of a regular multivitamin. They have everything a regular multivitamin does, plus extra stuff that is good for you whether you're pregnant or not. Target brand generic is no more expensive than a regular multi. I don't know how much the chewable cost though as I've never taken them.
GL to all the twin moms, my sister just had twins and it looks pretty hard, I won't lie. But it would be super after about the 6 month mark when they'd have each other to play with.
As far as the vitamins, I have no comment on flint stone vitamins! I have to take my prenatal at night also bc in the am I was starting to get nauseous! I’ve also been on these for 1+ years tho so my body is used to this also!
I can’t find any research relating to the livestrong article. There’s tons of search results with people asking the question.
Do do your own research and trust your doctor. That’s all anyone can do.
@krenee124, please keep us updated! Can’t wait to hear what they tell you on Friday!
I have had a lot of nausea and food aversions this time around but I also had it with my son who is now 2.5years old.
Do you know what kind of twins you are having? I am having identical because there is only one placenta. They couldn’t find 2 amniotic sacs at the 8 week ultrasound so I have my MFM U/S on Friday. I have spent the whole weekend reading about mono mono twins and it’s overwhelming.
