How many weeks are you/baby's size? 11 weeks today; baby is the size of a poker chip

How are you feeling? a lot of my 1st tri symptoms are subsiding which is great but I'm still going to bed at 8 every night.

Any appts this week? Not yet. Next week I have back to back appts Monday (MaterniT 21/ genetic counseling) and Tuesday (First OB appt).

Rants/raves/questions? We are booking our babymoon this week to Colorado! H is going to be doing Ironman Boulder so we will do a few days in Aspen and then drive to Boulder.

GTKY: What's your favorite favorite vacation spot? We spend a lot of time on Nantucket during the summer and a bit in the off-season too. It's a quick trip from Boston but feels like worlds away when we are there.

How many weeks are you/baby's size? 12/plum

How are you feeling? Okay, my MS reappeared this weekend after being totally gone from Wednesday-Friday, so that was kind of annoying, but today it seems to be gone again so FX.

Any appts this week? NT scan on Thursday. I should also get my NIPT results this week so I am looking forward to that!

Rants/raves/questions? Not really a rant or rave but I am really struggling with when to tell work. I feel like I have been working less than I should due to MS and nausea and am wondering if it would be better to just explain why versus having them think I am just slacking off/not motivated to start the year. But at the same time I am worried about being given less work once partners find out which I also don't want.

GTKY: What's your favorite favorite vacation spot? Favorite place to go with DH is Vegas, we love Vegas and usually go 2-3 times a year, although I would imagine we will be scaling back now. We gamble enough that we stay for free and can usually find cheap flights, so it is fun and not that expensive and we have it down to a science now in terms of planning shows and nice meals and all. My favorite place I have ever traveled myself was Istanbul, I just love the different culture and feeling "far away" from home. DH has never been to Europe so I would love to do a big Europe trip with him at some point, but I think now that will probably have to wait until the kid(s) are old enough to enjoy it!

How are you feeling?
Overall less nauseated than I have been, which is a welcome relief. Still dealing with fairly significant symptoms across the board, though I know some others have it much worse.

Any appts this week?
No, so I used the home doppler last night. Fun!

Rants/raves/questions?
My dogs are assholes. Maternity jeans are great. Are we there yet?

GTKY: What's your favorite favorite vacation spot?
My favorite vacation was to Aix En Provence, France. I spent 5 weeks there while my mom took language classes, and I did a few excursions during the week to Barcelona, Geneva, down the Mediterranean to Italy through Monaco, and to Paris. I got to skate with the local roller derby league while I was there, and drank a ridiculous amount of wine. It was an amazing trip. I don't have a particular place that I like going back to, but I love exploring new places any chance I get!

Yes I have my 12 week appt this week since I was sick last week

Rants/raves/questions?
My rant is the cold is staying! I’m grateful the flu is past but I’m tired of feeling bad. I think I’m going to talk about the OB about this MS because I’m done with it. I’m taking zofran because I got so sick with the flu, but I’m wondering if the other prescription will help more.

GTKY: What's your favorite favorite vacation spot?
Before we started trying for babies DH and I took the most amazing trips to Greece. We went to Athens, Santorini and Mykonos. We explored and drove around on ATVs it was the most amazing trip!

@derbysquirrel Haha yes to maternity jeans, I am living in mine (which could also be another reason I should tell work).

How many weeks are you/baby's size? 13 weeks, Lemon

How are you feeling? Not bad physically, starting to freak out about my app tomorrow.

Any appts this week? MFM to check cervix and plan for everything tomorrow. I'm not handling it well. I know what options I have, and which ones I can live with, but damn its not nice to have to make these decisions.

Rants/raves/questions? See Monday BF. H was trying to argue about who would take the day off with L. He's hourly so lost $ sucks, but I am taking tomorrow for my app. and don't have sub plans so he lost.

GTKY: What's your favorite favorite vacation spot? I would love to spend several weeks up in Bacon Valley, ID. Its a hidden valley, and I have a friend who lives there and we had so much fun riding when I stayed last time.

@legallykate I can write the exact same thing. Wed-sat I felt more energized and a whole lot less nauseated. Sunday I felt awful and tired, carried into today a bit, but seems to have disipated. I'm really looking forward to a second trimester upswing.

Any appts this week?
My nuchal is on Thursday! Can't wait to see the little bean again!

Rants/raves/questions?
I hate my coworker. That is all.

GTKY: What's your favorite favorite vacation spot?
I love seeing new places like italy and Denmark, but my all time favorite vacations are going to a lakehouse for a long weekend. We've been to a few in upstate NY, but it doesn't really matter where it is. I just love waking up to the water and spending my day in the sun with a view.

Yes! DH keeps asking when I am supposed to get all this second tri energy we keep hearing about. It can't come soon enough, I have been such a waste of space for two months.

I’m with @legallykate we get to travel for free from the casinos just got back from Vegas. But my favorite place is being at the beach. I wish I lived right on the beach again. And we are currently planning a trip to Armenia so I can visit hubbys birth place.

How are you feeling? Pretty rough. MS is all day everyday. I'm just hoping this passes soon. I've already lost 15 pounds.

Any appts this week? nope. Next is on the 12th.

Rants/raves/questions? I just hate MS.

GTKY: What's your favorite favorite vacation spot? That's so hard to say. We travel somewhere new each year. I guess so far our Favorites are between Scotland and the Amazon Rainforest.

Rants/raves/questions? I have a bad umbilical hernia from my DD’s pregnancy and I feel like it is already making it obvious that I am pregnant and I am trying to keep this from work for another 4 weeks...

GTKY: What's your favorite favorite vacation spot? Favorite place to go is Germany! Been there a few times and am really close to my host family over there!

PS where are you all finding the best maternity jeans? I need some better ones this time around!

I buy almost everything on Amazon. These ones I just got are Liz Lang, and were $15, they are the short elastic waist, as opposed to the over belly. I don't like skinny jeans, so I have limited options, but the two I've bought so far I am really happy with. The other pair are Wallflower, and I like them because they come in juniors sizing, which fit me better. I'm short, so most ladies jeans are just way too long. They are over belly, which I think I'll like better when I get bigger.

11 weeks today, baby is the size of a fig/lime!

How are you feeling?

Ugh today, nauseous as can be! Been on diclegis since around week 6 and most of the time it's wonderful but today has been especially bad on MS even with it. Also sleepy most of the day!

Any appts this week?

Had my initial prenatal visit today, mostly just talking to my doctor about my bloodwork results which were normal. The only thing she wants is for me to get a chicken pox booster after baby is born since my immunity was a bit low - I was vaccinated as a kid but never had it.

WE GOT TO HEAR THE HEARTBEAT!! 160s and strong, faint at first but she had a bit of trouble locating it since my uterus is still so low in my pelvis.

Rants/raves/questions?

Kind of disappointed to learn my doctor is one of those who only orders 1 ultrasound around 16-20 weeks for gender, measurements, etc, and that she doesn't do them on site but we have to go to the hospital for it. She said at my next appointment when I'm 15 weeks they'll send out that lab order for it.

GTKY: What's your favorite favorite vacation spot?

Mine would be Clearwater Beach in Florida. Sun, sand, waves - my happy place. My grandparents have lived down near there since I was a little kid and it was my favorite place to go. Depressing to think about though because my grandma passed away this past fall and now my grandpa is moving back north to be closer to family. I miss her terribly, and I will miss going to visit her and going to the beach and pier with her.

How are you feeling? My nausea has mostly gone away, which is awesome. I'm still exhausted and super gassy (lovely) and am hoping that goes away soon!

Any appts this week? I have my NT ultrasound Friday!

Rants/raves/questions? I'm feeling a lot of pressure in the pelvic area and I'm hoping that's all normal.

GTKY: What's your favorite favorite vacation spot? With 2 toddlers at home, my favorite vacation is ANYWHERE. But really, Maui. Yes please.

How many weeks are you/baby's size? 12+1/plum

How are you feeling? Still fairly tired with some occasional nausea. Feeling slightly more energetic over the past few days though, but I still can’t get my butt to the gym!

Any appts this week? Follow-up with my OB on Thursday to go over everything the MFM recommended. Looking like weekly progesterone injections, monthly ultrasounds to monitor growth, vaginal ultrasounds every other week to check cervix, MRI at 26 weeks to rule out placenta accreta and c-section at 37 weeks.

Rants/raves/questions? Was a little surprised at everything the MFM suggested and not really looking forward to the progesterone and vaginal ultrasounds. But I’ll do what I have to do! Also really irritated with work lately. I’m a nurse and it has just been so damn busy every single day! I’m ready for winter to be over.

GTKY: What's your favorite favorite vacation spot? DH and I were in Switzerland for part of our honeymoon and I would love to go back there! For small vacations, we enjoy the Harvey Cedars part of the Jersey shore. I’d love to get out to the West Coast in the future!

I"m late this week, but here we go!

How many weeks are you/baby's size? 10 weeks, size of a lego man

How are you feeling? TIRED, all the time. Keep waking constantly throughout the night.

Any appts this week? No, not until Feb 9th. First appointment was last Friday and everything went well. HB was at 170.

Rants/raves/questions? Where can I find really soft bedsheets with deep pockets?

GTKY: What's your favorite favorite vacation spot? I looove travelling! We usually go somewhere new every year. Last summer, we went to Dublin with DD and it was lovely. Right now, I am dreaming of laying on a beach and reading. Maybe Jamaica? Another great vacation I love is traveling up the California coast.
