    2. TWW. 7 DPO. ( I had a triphasic shift today which hasn't happened since I've begun temping.. It has me going hmmmmmm...)
    3. Rave: Got a lot of house cleaning done today. Woo! Filed our taxes. Woo!
Rant: I have a nasty eczema flare up going on.... Sooooo itchy. Need my meds to kick in fast.
    4. I want to go on a sandals all inclusive trip on a tropical island!

  • 1. Introduce yourself (if new) Not new. 2 MCs in July and November.

    2. Status? TWW. 4dpo (according to where I think FF will shift my crosshairs tomorrow), or 6dpo if you keep it where it currently is.

    3. Raves/Rants: Had a quick weekend trip to NY this weekend for my cousin’s wedding, so I’m super tired today from flying across the country and the time change. So excited though that it seems like I may have O’d after DH got back from his trip last week, so I’m really hoping that’s the case!  I’m trying to have will power and hold out on testing until Sunday (10dpo), but we’ll see how that goes...

    4. GTKY: What is your dream vacation? I think it’s a tie between Hawaii and Europe (Italy and France). Going to Hawaii in the spring so I’m really excited about that since I’ve been dreaming about it forever!

@Kath525 wow you’re great getting your taxes done so early! I wish I was that on top of things! FX that your triphasic shift means good things to come!

    Not New - CP 12/16

WTO - CD3 and my AF has stopped already on only day 3 with minimal spotting today which is shorter than normal.

I am getting cold feet on clomid.  I start it tonight and I'm sure I'm just being weird but I'm always afraid there is an embryo in there I might kill.  RE assured me it would not happen and clomid can't hurt an embryo.  I've already scheduled the follicle U/S next week and I start clomid tonight - 100mg.  I took a pg test this AM and it was neg which I was assuming.  I'm going to take another one right before FW.  My scan is on CD12.  It's nerve wracking cause I'm prob not pg but with DD and loss I implanted late both times and most of you know this by now :) And a thought came to my mind today - unmedicated IUI - is that a thing?

GTKY - my dream is going back to Hawaii.  We went there for our honeymoon but this time I want to stay for 2 weeks.  1 week on the big island and 1 week on kuaui.  that place speaks to my soul!

ETA - does anyone know the most sensitive preg test?  I've just been using dollar tree but didn't know if there were any that can detect small amounts of HCG.
    Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker
  • @vlagrl29 not sure if it’s too late but could the RE do a blood draw for hcg to give you peace of mind? I’ve only ever used cheap internet tests of FRER, so I’m not sure which is the most sensitive.

Also, which island in Hawaii did you go for your honeymoon?? We’re going to Kauai in April and I’m so excited.
  • It would be too late plus the RE seems really confident clomid wouldn't hurt a thing. @pumpkinpancake - I googled First response is the best detecting at around 6 on hcg levels so I'll go out tomorrow and buy a few of those just to have on hand.  And I know I should follow their rules and take the 100 but I really wanted to only take the 50 since I already ovulate on my own.  Any other clomid users here - what was your dose?

I went to oahu and kuaui.  we had to see pearl harbor but that island is too touristy for me.  I'd live in kauai if I could!  A couple weeks ago I came home to DD and DH watching our honeymoon video DH made for me.  OMG it just took me back to pure happiness.  I told DH that's all we need.  We are planning to go back for our 10 year which is in a couple years and take DD with us.

  • 1. MC 1/11 @ 8 + 4.

    2. Think I'm WTO but have no idea really!!!

    3. Ugggghhhh report card week. All I want to do is obsess over numbers and dates and I actually have to care about grades right now. Can't!

    4. Actually went to Spain/France and Iceland this summer for my honeymoon. Don't think I could dream up a more perfect trip at this point. Take me back!

  • 1. Not new. 3mc in 2017
    2. CD12 so should really be BD but we've got cold feet. And I have a scheduled pap tomorrow so not sure if we will get any in.
    3. Rant - Please stop raining, pleeeeeassseeee.
Rave - a good friend asked me to help her plan a candlelight walk on pregnancy and infant loss awareness day in october. We don't have one in our town and she really wants to start one. She lost her baby at 35 weeks with no answers as to why.
    4. I've done a fair amount of travelling but always looking for new places. Currently on my list is Japan, the Trans Mongolian Railway, Hungary and Madagascar. Maybe someday
@kikimi83 I did Iceland for my 40th, what an incredible part of the world
@pumpkinpancake I love Kauai!! We've been to Oahu, Maui, The Big Island and Kauai and Kauai is by far my fave. What part of the island are you staying in?
  • @40momma we couldn’t decide between staying north or south, so we’re staying on the east shore so that we can decide on the fly which way to go each day depending on the weather. Any things you’d say we shouldn’t miss doing while we’re there??
  • 1. Introduce yourself (if new) not new.  3 MCs

    2. Status? WTO. US today and will trigger tomorrow with IUI on Thursday

    3. Raves/Rants:  US showed 4 follicles all of good size so I’m excited since this is first cycle after MC

    4. GTKY: What is your dream vacation? I’ve always wanted to go to Spain, Greece and Italy    I went to curaçao for my honeymoon and loved it.  I would definitely go back
  • @40momma right? I felt like I was either on the moon or in some kind of fantasy fairy tale!
  • Visit poipoo beach @pumpkinpancake - awesome snorkeling and there should be a beach restaurant close by with amazing sea food!
    Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker
  • @Kath525 yes! I had triphasic shift with my last pregnancy!! Fx for you!
  • 1. Been here a week, MC confirmed 1.12 (although it probably happened earlier, can't pinpoint a day).
    2. Was originally waiting for AF, but might accidentally be TWW now. We'll see what happens.
    3. Rant: There is so much drama at my office right now. I'm staying out of it, but it's affecting everything and morale is low. Rave: Anyone else noticing prenatal vitamins improving their skin? I've never supplemented my diet with vitamins, and after I started taking them my acne-prone skin has gotten so much better. Is this normal?
    4. Difficult! Definitely somewhere warm. Probably Hawaii, my husband and I never went on a honeymoon, but Hawaii would have been our first choice. Maybe someday!
    DS born 2/18/2019
    DD born 4/1/2023

  • @pumpkinpancake we went to Italy a couple years ago for our anniversary. I loved rome and venice!
@vlagrl29 @40momma we went to the big island for our honeymoon. I wanna go back soooo bad!!
@kikimi83 oooo I've heard Iceland is just gorgeous! It's on my bucket list!
@Mack2342 4 follicles is great! FX for you!!
@grebretso I hope the drama at your work clears up soon. That can make for a rough environment!
  • 2. Status? CD 26. 4 DPO.
    3. Raves/Rants:
Had a seriously awful backache on Sunday. Had to take meds and lay down because I thought I was going to vomit. NO idea what caused it. Not sure if I slept wrong, the new exercising I’ve been doing, or what? Doing better now.
    4. GTKY: What is your dream vacation?
I loved our honeymoon to Australia, but it’s a huge place so I’d love to see more! And also, New Zealand. Of course, I’ve always wanted to go to Austria also.

40momma Wow, a candlelight walk on PG and Ifant Loss Awareness Day sounds like a great idea!

Mack2342 Super hopeful for you this cycle!

grebretso I’ve been on prenatals for so long now I can’t even remember what/if it helped with anything! Sorry.

    2. CD 17. On day 3 of progesterone so my body *thinks* it's 3 DPO. Frozen embryo transfer on Friday.

    3. Oh so many rants. First off, DH accidentally took my leftover dinner for lunch today, which I had packed for myself to bring to work. I am gluten free and have a dairy allergy so my dinner is slightly modified from the rest of the family's. I have a meeting over lunch today so I can't leave the office and now I have nothing to eat today. I have been crying on and off about it for the last 2 hours (effing hormones!!!!). It's not the first time he's done it either.  Also, found out yesterday that ANOTHER coworker is pregnant and there's a baby shower for a different coworker on Friday. Said coworker sent out an email asking people to only bring certain brands of diapers to the shower. WTF? How tacky. Glad I'm missing it because my FET is on Friday so I'll be off. Lastly, I had a dream last night about an old friend who was my kindred spirit. We grew up together from elementary school to university. If I believed in reincarnation, I would swear that our souls were connected from some past life. Once we met our current partners, our friendship sort of died out since it's hard to have opposite sex friendships that are that close when significant others are involved. My husband didn't have a problem with it but his SO did. I miss him terribly and the dream has put me in a funk today.

    4. I've traveled to Europe a few times since I have a bunch of family in different countries but I am always drawn back. We have a big trip to Italy planned this year which will be awesome (I'm thinking about stopping in Iceland on our way there too) and I'm already planning my next Europe trip after this one. Will probably be to Austria, Czech Republic, and Poland (I am determined to take the kids to Auschwitz since I think it's a hugely important part of our collective recent history).

  • @tosh24 I'm so sorry. You are having a terrible day! I would be so mad about him eating my food, especially given your dietary issues. Is there any place you can order from? Get some Jimmy John's on a lettuce wrap?
@40momma That is such a good idea to do a walk. Mc/stillbirth/infant loss is so much more prevalent than people realize. I heard the stat that 1 in 8 women will know that pain.
@vlagrl29 I'm sorry about the clomid nerves.
@Mack2342 That's great you have so many follicles going! Remind me, what is your protocol for meds?

    1. Introduce yourself (if new) Not new, 3 first tri mc's, no living children
    2. Status? TWW but really WFAF
    3. Raves/Rants: I don't think I've ever been this down about BFNs. I know my expectations of getting ku again are too high, and I'm mad at myself for how upset it has made me. I spent time this morning putting all the financial info about IVF into a spreadsheet. We have three cycles left of trying on our own before we had agreed to move to IVF and it's feeling like a not very fun countdown. IVF financial stuff in spoiler because it got long.
I am back to considering the guarantee program my clinic has. Initially the financial lady told me I wasn't eligible due to RPL, but when we talked to our RE she said actually if we wanted to do it she and her partner would discuss my case and determine if they would let us (that doesn't mean we could do it, just it's not totally out). The tricksy part is that if you get even one healthy embryo you have to transfer it before doing another retrieval. That means the likelihood of banking any embryos for a second child would be less likely because we anticipate me getting only 1-2 good embryos per cycle. It also means we might essentially pay $9k more than we needed to for one retrieval if we got one embryo and were successful on the first transfer. But it also means that we would get a refund of all the clinic costs if we did three retrievals and transferred all healthy embryos without success.
    4. GTKY: What is your dream vacation? I loved Jamaica. Unfortunately there is Zika risk there which is such a bummer because it was an affordable and very relaxing place.

  • @tosh24 - sorry about your coworker and not having lunch.  Girl I get so hangry if I skip meals.  Why would anyone request a certain brand of diaper.  Who the heck cares!  usually you figure that out after the baby is born as some diapers give babies rashes.

@zamora_spin - sorry your feeling down and the countdown to IVF.  I consider IVF like the scariest thing lol.  Countdowns like this are never fun.  I had my countdown to clomid and that was so not exciting.  Speaking of I took it last night.  I have 100mg and so far not bad.  I'm kinda tired today but that's because I was busy yesterday and woke up too early this morning.  For me the best thing with this not so fun and exciting TTC process is to think about it as little as possible to keep the mind stable.
    Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker
  • @zamora_spin I've read 1 in 4 for mc! I think the numbers are that crazy as there's a lot of women that aren't keeping track and have early CP without realizing it. The more I talk about it with others, the more women I realize it has happened to, and often more than once.

@tosh24 I completely understand your opposite sex friendship. I also have a very close male friend and my DH totally gets our friendship. It's completely platonic but his new wife is very jealous of me so our friendship has taken a back burner since they've gotten together. If he were female it would make things so much easier. Maybe to help your funk you could just send him a quick note to tell him you were thinking of him and hope he's doing well? Without pissing off his SO of course.

@pumpkinpancake oh my gosh, where do I begin! The east side is nice, spend your time in Kapa'a rather than Lihue if you can. Lihue is just the big city with shops and stuff. If you are adventurous I highly highly highly recommend the hike to Hanakapai falls. And definitely swim under the falls! If you aren't doing Hanakapai Falls at least start the hike and go about 20 minutes in to get an incredible view of the coast line. But if you can do the falls, it's awesome. Waimea Canyon is gorgeous and worth a full day, lots to explore and hike around. If it's rainy at all, head to Polihale, it's almost always dry and sunny there. And yes, Poipu beach is excellent. Pick up the travel book called Kauai Revealed (you can order it on amazon before hand if you want). It's the best travel book I've ever read, I wish the same authors did travel books for other places. It's honest and funny, if the book says something sucks, believe them. If they say something is 'do not miss', definitely check it out.
  • @zamora_spin we first started IUIs with Just femara and after 3 cycles and no pregnancy we added Gonal f injections to the femara.  I start taking femara on CD3 for 5 days then on the 4th day I add Gonal f.   Just as we started the injections I decided to add Coq10 and DHEA to the mix after research and RE said they regularly recommend to patients (however had not to me) but once I brought it up they told me dose of the two so I take 400 mg of Coq10 and 25 mg 3 times a day of DHEA.  I rarely remember to take all 3 doses of DHEA.  By my last round of IUI so the 3rd one with injections I had 4 follicles only had 2 before and got KU.   I started taking the coq10 and DHEA the day I had my d & c in December and now have 4 follicles.  I truly  believe it has to do with Coq10 and DHEA.   It took about 2 months before i noticed anything.   We briefly considered IVF this past month but he only gave a 16% take home baby rate which is similar rate to IUIs for us so we said forget it.
  • @Mack2342 I am glad the supplements are helping, that is a great increase in follicles. My RE is very pro CoQ10 and has me on Theralogix which is allegedly equivalent to 600mg or more. Before that I used Jarrow Ubiquinol and took 300mg a day. For me, she was very anti-DHEA, but says she prescribes it for DOR patients especially. Perhaps if we do IVF and get a poor initial response she will feel differently.

That is interesting your RE gave you such low odds on IVF. Our RE has basically said IVF with PGS the only thing she can recommend that might reduce risk of loss for me. The clinic has really good SART scores (for the final 2014 numbers 66% of new patients in my age bracket got take home babies) and she says her success rate with a PGS normal embryo is 70-80%. The hard thing I think for me is, will we get any good embryos at all?
  • @zamora_spin it is such a difficult decision to make especially when you have to pay.  It’s low because I’m 42.  I just can’t see spending the money for that low of percent.  TW***we have one child so for us I can’t see past the dollar signs.  If our circumstances were different I would do it and if it didn’t work I’d know I gave everything we had.
  • @dpjennifer my parents are going to Australia and New Zealand next summer. We really want to go but it all depends on if we get KU'd.
@zamora_spin sorry this has been a rough cycle for you. Some are just harder than others.
@tosh24 i have all the things crossed for you! Hoping to hear some wonderful news from you soon!
  • @Mack2342 I can totally understand that. It's scary to spend it even if the odds are more in your favor. **TW I have an IRL friend who struggled with IF for 3 years prior to conceiving her first, and now is struggling again with TFAS, and she has said something similar, that because she has one she doesn't think she would spend the $ on IVF. Makes sense to me. end TW**
  • @zamora_spin same here. Dh and I already said we'd never do Ivf. I don't think my anxiety could handle it. We feel blessed to have 1 kid.
    Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker
  • @40momma thanks for all the suggestions about Kauai!  Im so excited because it’s my first time to Hawaii!  I actually already bought the guide book you mentioned, and have been loving how it reads so far. I’d love to try the hike to the falls, since it sounds amazing. How tough of a hike is it?

On a different note, I just went by my pharmacy and they finally worked out the authorization for my ovidrel with insurance, and now it’s no cost at all! So now I have everything in hand for next cycle, assuming I don’t get pregnant this month!

  • @coco2787 Iceland was surreal. I felt like I was in the middle of a painting the whole time. If you ever get the chance to go, be sure to go to the west fjords. The drive will test your sanity but it is unlike any place on Earth (I'm guessing lol).

Getting my hCG checked again this week to make sure it's completely back down finally. Crazily, secretly hoping it's actually jumped up and I'm magically pregnant. I know it's just wishful thinking. It drives me nuts that DH is just so blase about it. Like, it'll happen when it happens, and I'm literally analyzing every twinge and minute change in my body.
  • @pumpkinpancake and @vlagrl29 - I spent 2 weeks on Kauai for my honeymoon and @vlagrl29 you're totally right,  that place spoke to my soul too. We stayed in Poipu, @pumpkinpancake - get the little blue book, i think it's called kauai explored.  You need to go to Waiama canyon. It's the grand canyon of Hawaii.  It's gorgeous. If I could do the trip over I would have rented a jeep. My favorite hike led us right to the gates of jurassic park.  It would have been much easier to get to if we had a jeep. The hike wasn't hard though.  Allerton gardens... either tour. I liked the science one more then the guided tour. Bug spray!  Wear and carry bug spray everywhere you go. If you only listen to one piece of advice listen to that one.  Wear it like your life depended on it.  I skimped on day one and I got eaten alive. You need to see the napali coast of course. Do any dolphin tour you want but just do at least 1. I cried when I saw the dolphin pod.  Tears. Ugly cry tears.   I told everyone on the raft it was the best day of my life..... long pause...... beside my wedding day.  Lol we were on our honeymoon.  I could go on and on and on forever.  I'm so excited for you!
