SAME! and I feel like people always judge me. It's gotten to the point where I don't want potato chips if they are just plain
  • Im going to enjoy a small piece of cake and a small scoop of ice cream tonight for my sons birthday. It will probably make my GD numbers high but i dont care. After this past week, its what i want since I cant have a drink lol.

  • I love cucumbers with pepperoni! It seems like an odd combination, but it’s so good!
  • I usually do grilled cheese in tomato soup or tomato sauce, ketchup if I'm desperate.
  • Quesadillas with ketchup over here! I like a mixture of mayo/mustard/ketchup with my fries.
  • @lindsayleigh1989 not as weird as you think! That's just like the flavors of a monte cristo sandwich. Add some ham and sprinkle some powdered sugar on top and you'd have all the flavors there!
  • @SmashJam exactly! I was so shocked how many people over the years have been so grossed out

  • My ffc is that I’m trying really hard to enjoy this pregnancy because it might very well be my last, and I know how hard the first few months with a newborn are, but- I’m over it already. The past few weeks I’ve been feeling nauseous, getting headaches, and the fatigue is literally crippling. I’ve been dizzy and having these crazy heart palpitations, and I just can’t help think that all of this could be related. Having a toddler demanding all of my attention just makes it that much harder. I know they say every pregnancy is different but geesh. I didn’t think it would be this different. Maybe after I see the cardiologist, and figure out exactly what’s going on I’ll feel better about everything (or worst??). But I’m over it today.
  • @lindsayleigh1989 oh my gosh. I just gagged. Lol. Like what kind of jelly? Like grape jelly? What kind of cheese? I’m just trying to understand!! Haha
  • @paytonpedro sending support your way!  I have had a lot of heart palpitations (ending up with a full workup with the cardiologist last spring) and I know how unsettling and unfun they can be.
  • It drives me nuts that people get ID's, credit cards or frequent flyer numbers NOT in their full name. For example - Bradley, his credit card says Brad. HOW?? The application asks for your full name not the name you go by! GAHHH

I realize this may be less of a FFFC and more of a pet peeve but whatevs.

  • My FFFC is that I’m really bad at taking out the restroom trash. There is usury not really gross in there, mostly like toilet paper rolls, wrappers, etc. so it piles up until DH starts to annoy me about it.
  • @runsomewhere agreed and honestly to take it a step further into deeper flame territory I don’t really consider domestic travel to be “traveling”. If you can afford to travel, go to Europe or something and see the world

@runsomewhere I also feel that way about people who go to the beach in Florida for every vacation. I just don't get it. I've been to so many amazing places, both in the country and out of the country, that going to the same place over and over again has zero appeal to me. And honestly I remember our family vacation to San Francisco WAY more than I remember our vacations to the beach or, honestly, even to Disney. My parents let their 11-year-old plan a day in San Francisco, and it was awesome.

ETA: Everyone was really confused when MH and I didn't go on a vacation for 3 years until we then were like "so we've saved up for a 2 week trip to Europe, see ya later!"
  • Joining you @runsomewhere. I don't get Disneyland passes when you're in your 30s and no kids. I know 5-6 people who spend at least 1k to get the best pass and go pretty much every weekend. I'd rather put that $$ towards a trip elsewhere, not 30 min from my house...

@kissableviv lol I'm one of those people who paid $1k for a Disneyland pass and goes every weekend. We really enjoy both parks (Disneyland and California Adventure), the rides, drinks, entertainment, food, and people watching. Granted this is a 10 minute drive from our house, so its a nice last minute lets go on some rides and have dinner type place for us. We also take our nieces and nephews occasionally (their parents work there). It's something we truly enjoy as a couple. Now that I'm pregnant though, we won't renew until the baby is a bit older and we can enjoy it again.

Eta: tb ate my whole post.

  • Lolllll @zombiehoohaa I love Disneyland so much I guess I'm not that big of a fan :)
  • Yes, add me to the list of people that doesn't understand the appeal of a repeat vacation! And I don't get the Disney thing either, but that has do more with my dislike of amusement parks in general.

I admit, we go to Bend each year for hub's bday, and Cannon Beach for mine. But those are both long weekend trips, not vacations. Other than that, we refuse to vacation in the same places again and again.

So much to see, we're slowly checking off a different state or country each trip. The only real trip we repeat travel to is Japan every 3-5 years, but that is to visit hub's fam and we only spend a couple days each trip in Tokyo with them and then try to branch out and explore.
  • @lindsayleigh1989 my husband does that, I thought he was the only one! But he also eat it with peanut butter sometimes. I've tried it a few times, but I can't seem to appreciate it the way he does.
  • I am a huge fan of cruises. We used to go 1 to 3 times a year, but it has been like 4 years now since we have gone thanks to IF treatments and having a small child. I am just dying to go again though
  • Not a huge fan of Disney either but we do take advantage going when we visit Cali because we can get i for free with my cousin and friend working there. Otherwise yeah not worth the amount of money it costs. My sister use to but the passes even though she can barely pay rent. I don’t get it.
  • We go to the beach about 5 to 6 hours away every year with my husbands family for vacation. His family has been doing that since before he was born and I’ve been going with them for the last 10 years. I personally love it. We take long weekend trips to other places when we can but we love the family beach trip. Different strokes for different folks  :)
  • Eh

we we go to the beach every other year for two weeks with my in laws. Stay right on the beachfront. It’s about relaxing for us not adventure. We use to go to the cabin every summer in Wisconsin for two weeks but then they sold it- again more about the telaxing
  • @TheQuietThings comletely agree. I would rather go on more vacations with my whole family to something they would enjoy (disney, theme parks, cruises, etc) as opposed to saving for years for one trip that the kids won't even remember.

I've been to Europe and would love to go back soon, but it is not exactly kid friendly in my eyes if you go on the standard cookie cutter European vacation. It was a ton of walking, a ton of stairs, a ton of sightseeing (usually at places that would be a bore to any kid). While this all sounds delightful if it were just me, the thought of the nonstop whining from my husband and small child would make me feel like I just tossed a few grand down the toilet.
