R/R: Feeling blah still. AF is for sure gone, but I'm already having back pain. It could be from sleeping on the floor for a few nights  :# Having to order more opks. Last an-o cycle took up my whole stash. Off to Amazon I go!

GTKY: It's good ole concrete walls painted a cream colour. Not my favourite, but it's not our house, so it'll do!

  • oh, @emmasemm - big hugs to you. I'm so sorry about AF. Mad props to your DH, though, for being such an awesome support.

WAYDTGKU: PNV, temping, charting, OPK's, B complex

R/R: DH was all about getting frisky yesterday. Hopefully he can reel it in today and give those spermies time to mature.... he was totally unaware of the stale sperm phenomenon AND that lotsa sex can bring down his sperm count. We had this discussion last month and I'm hoping yesterday was about "cleaning the pipes" and he can reel it in a bit. We had to reiterate it last night. :( Flashing smiley on OPK this morning, so it's time to get down to it!

GTKY: What color paint or wallpaper (or maybe some oak paneling???) do you have in your main living room? We're still renting, so I have kind of an almond white with some underlying gray tones? Not traditional renter's white, but definitely somewhere in that realm. I would totally paint my living room a very pale yellow when we get a house. I know it's not the most trendy color

  • @emmasemm Sorry about AF. I’m so glad you have a wonderful supportive H! They really can be the best sometimes  :)
@josie12367  Sorry you’re still feeling blah...but glad to hear AF is officially away!
@catlady2015 GL with YH tonight! Sometime they just get so “anxious”! MH reminds me when it has been almost exactly 48 hours...

WAYDTGKU: pnvs, N&C EOD now, tracking cycles

R/R: lots of meetings again today...blah! No major new raves yet today, just trying to enjoy FW before the dreaded TWW.

GTKY: our front living room is a medium grey color which we love because it goes with almost any accent color. Our large living room is a light blue. It isn’t my favorite but MH likes it and it matches everything in there so I haven’t tried to change it.

  • @emmasemm Sorry to hear about AF. I'm glad you have a wonderful DH who is supportive!
@josie12367 I hope your back starts feeling better! I had to make my visit to Amazon this morning as well!
@catlady2015 Yay for your flashing smiley!! Husbands can be so impatient lol. Fx for you!!
@spartan4life I'm with you on the dreaded TWW. I guess we have to love it though, it's a time where we're hopeful anyway.

R/R: No rants today! Rave: Excited to get my therm. and start temping. Hoping it will be helpful. I had a crazy cycle this month so, I hope to learn some more about what's going on.

GTKY: What color paint or wallpaper (or maybe some oak paneling???) do you have in your main living room? Our living room is a neutral tan color. I'm a big fan of neutrals!
  • @emmasemm - Sorry you had a rough start to your week, I hope it gets better for you!
@josie12367 - Back pain is never fun, I hope you feel better soon!
@catlady2015 - Hooray for the smiley face!
@stargazer1lily - Weather is sucky here right now too!
@meladams10 - Good luck with temping! I found it to be very helpful!

    Month/Cycle: 2/3

    CD: 12

WAYDTGKU: N&C, OPKs - opk last night was negative, but this morning was a dark AF positive! Not sure if we should N&C tonight, tomorrow, or both...   ;)

R/R: RANT! Woke up this morning to my car encased in ice. I was NOT expecting that. My husband AND mom warned me about hte roads before I left, so I tried to head into work early. It still took me an hour and a half to get in! The highway was a parking lot so I took side roads - witnessed 1 accident happen, had to re-route around 3 other accidents, and saw 6 cars in ditches. We should have closed down. We *might* close early. I'll be a little pissy if we don't.

GTKY: What color paint or wallpaper (or maybe some oak paneling???) do you have in your main living room? Like @spartan4life, our living room is a medium grey. But one wall is a darker grey. Before that it had ugly old wallpaper, which we tried to take down, only to find thing wood paneling under it. We removed the wood paneling and found... MORE wood paneling! There was no drywall so we had to learn how to do that!
  • Month/Cycle: 1/1

WAYDTGKU: BBT, PNV's, should probably do the sex thing tonight, since it's been a bit.

R/R: My long-overdue Amazon package finallyyyyy arrived yesterday. And I realized I ordered the wrong size of bedsheets. Insert choice words.

GTKY: What color paint or wallpaper (or maybe some oak paneling???) do you have in your main living room? Hang on, I've got the paint chips in my purse. (We just moved this summer and repainted the walls, is why.) The entire house is Benjamin Moore Thunder (a greige) and the kitchen is Amherst grey.

@josie12367 hope your back feels better soon!
@kimberbeep sorry about the car - glad you're safe and hope they close early! Yay for the pos OPK! We are asking the same question - we N&C last night, and aren't sure if we should go again today and tomorrow, or just one day, or take a day off even though we think it's pos?
@PensiveCrayon ughhh returns are the worst! anyone you can re-gift them to next holiday season and just order a new pair?

    Month/Cycle: 2/2

CD: 17. Pretty sure we got a +OPK this morning but temp is not down, nor has it really been since pre-FW, so going to re-check later today to make sure! Fx! And having the same questions as @kimberbeep on when to N&C. I really need to get my stress level down today for any of this to go well, though!

WAYDTGKU: OPKs, BBT, Pom Juice, N&C

R/R: None today, though it'd be nice to get a break from this rain.

GTKY: What color paint or wallpaper (or maybe some oak paneling???) do you have in your main living room? We never painted post construction, so it's just a bright off-white/beige color w/ some texturing.

  • @chopchop25 - Twinssss! We N&C last night, too. Is it possible to N&C too much? I'll for sure take another OPK this evening to see if it's still positive. If it's still really dark, maybe we'd wait in till tomorrow AM to let the little swimmers re-populate?

    @PensiveCrayon ummm....RiRi duh ;)

  • @kimberbeep@chopchop25 and anyone else
on here wondering...I have no familiarity with the OPKs, but when MH and I met with my OB at the beginning of ttgp she said that you can absolutely N&C too much! That was a surprise to us because we felt like we just needed to do it all the time. For what it’s worth, She said optimal sperm numbers and quality occurs about every 48 hours so to N&C every other day, not every day. Obviously everyone is different and I’m not a doctor, but that is the advice we are following (and MH does seem to be keeping track of those 48 hours ;)

  • @kimberbeep I'd do both! Also, I'm glad you were able to make it into work safely! I would've turned around and gone on home! Hopefully ya'll will close early!
@PensiveCrayon I hate you got the wrong size bed sheets. That's the worst!
@chopchop25 Fx you are able to lower your stress! It's so hard! I'm trying to find a way to do that now.

  • @emmasemm sorry about AF and that you've been having a hard time. But you truly are blessed with a great husband!
@josie12367 yayy for AF finally leaving town. I think I also finished almost all my opk strips this cycle and will be turning to amazon shortly
@kimberbeep that is scary. hope you get home safely!
@PensiveCrayon I hate it when I order the wrong stuff. Im so lazy about returning stuff that most of the time it just ends up staying in one corner of the house.

    Month/Cycle: 7/7

    WAYDTGKU: the usual

R/R: tested negative again for OPK just now although there was a temp spike in the morning. I don't know if I missed the LH surge when testing or the temp is a fluke. My BBT is always in the 96. range but hit 97 today for the first time. I did have some cramping/dull pain on one side yesterday. I don't know, I  guess i'l check the temp again tomorrow and if it is still elevated I should assume I O'd?

GTKY: What color paint or wallpaper (or maybe some oak paneling???) do you have in your main living room?
just the regular renters white color.
  • @pensivecrayon - Sorry your go the wrong size sheets! How frustrating!
@spartan4life - I'll keep that 48 hours rule in mind depending on what my OPK says this evening!
@darkstar42 - That's a lot of snow to shovel! We've been lucky so far this winter and have only had to shovel and inch or two here and there!
@nasah15 - Are you testing OPK's only once a day? I tested last night around 8pm and got a negative OPK. This morning I tested again, only 10 hours later, and got a very very dark positive. I'm curious to see if I have a positive again later today. I'm glad I started testing 2x a day!

@emmasemm I'm so so sorry about cd1. It's so f*ing unfair.  I'm glad you have channeled that disappointment into action,  it just sucks that it's not an easy equation. You can do everything right and still have your heart broken.  I'm totally rooting for you,  I just wish I could do more.

R/R:AF lasting a day longer than usual and I just want it to be over!
Also I have gained weight from a general not giving a toss/ feeling insanely sorry for myself. So I have brought salad to work for lunch and have plans to have willpower when I get home and say no the the wine and big dinner  (opting obviously for a normal portion size). But it's summer and I am way too hot and grumpy and I am not sure how much longevity this so called willpower will have.

GTKY: What color paint or wallpaper (or maybe some oak paneling???) do you have in your main living room?
We rent so it's a kind of mushroom colour that won't be changing any time soon.

@meladams10 the platitudes are well meant but sometimes it would be nice for someone just to give you the secret for everything instead of a blanket "It will happen" which is a hard thing to swallow some days.
  • @meladams10 those pregnancy announcements are really hard. My brother in law is staying with us this month and all he talks about is how excited he is and how he’s looking forward to when we will have kids too. They got preganant recently and it was the first month after they got married and they weren’t even trying. Im really happy for them but its really really hard at times not to break down. Lots of hugs your way!! Hang in there.
  • @meladams10 - sending you so many hugs. I am sorry you had to go through that today

@lokibear89 I feel you on the not wanting to give a hoot and feeling sorry. But we've got to control the things we can control, while everything else is out of our hands! Good job w the salad - you got this!

@kobrien827 I'm with you in the confused cycle.

The blue tests and my own insanity are starting to drive me nuts - I feel like I had a darker line in the beginning of my cycle but it made no sense so I disregarded it. This morning I thought I had another strong one even though temps did not indicate that it was O time, but retested with a pink one at lunch (wanted to see if H should come home for N&C or go play basketball) and it was super faint. So upset that maybe this morning was a false alarm after we thought we were spot on for timing and now I just want to go home and give up on everything for the day.

R/R:  AF came back :):( I had secret hopes of being the snowflake of all snowflakes and sneaking off to a BMB without ever getting AF back - ridiculous, but *theoretically* possible?

GTKY: What color paint or wallpaper (or maybe some oak paneling???) do you have in your main living room? Beige. We never painted when we moved in, lol.
  • @sassysweetiepie I guess congrats on the AF? Good to know your body is setting you up for success - Fx for a smooth cycle ahead!
  • @meladams10 - ouch. those always hurt. And the cliches actually make it worse. it's so unfair how it seems to go so easily for others and yet Sisyphus-rock-up-the-mountain hard for others. Sending you a big hug, friend. Try to do something nice for yourself today.

I was able to go home early today and got most of my evening chores done!

I did another OPK around 2 today and it was negative! Negative last night (8pm), positive this morning (6am), negative this afternoon... I'm gonna consult the google machine - but I wonder if such a short surge would be considered normal? And of course, I woke up at 4am to pee, so my BBT is probably off since I normally temp at 5:30 - so if I had a temp drop, it was probably masked by me getting out of bed early!
  • @kimberbeep are we the same person? To be fair, we've probably never been in the same place. That is EXACTLY what happened to me today, and I didn't have a temp drop :(
  • @chopchop25 - That's crazy! Means we can commiserate together!! I'm anxious to see what my temp is tomorrow.
  • @chopchop25 and @kimberbeep Definitely note those positive opks in FF, but keep having sex and using opks till you have the three high temps in a row to confirm O. Since you can have multiple LH surges a cycle, play it safe, and keep doing what you're doing for a bit till you're sure. I screwed up my first cycle's timing because of something similar

Thanks @josie1237, sadly my temps are super wacky unless I missed peak and it was day 1 of FW.
@kimberbeep it’s got me wondering if I’m crazy and now maybe it wasn’t positive this morning.
  • @lokibear89 You're right. Yesterday was just an especially hard day.
@nasah15 Wow, that must be really difficult for you :( I will keep my fx for us both to keep positive thoughts!
@chopchop25 Thank you! I hope your day got better yesterday. Sometimes those OPKs can really drive you crazy! I find I have a lot better luck with the pink dye ones.
@catlady2015 Thank you friend! I felt a lot better after venting and a body pump session (:
