Book Club: Suggestions Thread

Welcome to book club!

Please comment below to suggest pregnancy, birth and parenting related books for future months. Do your best not to suggest books that have already been suggested by others - instead, love tit the post with the book you were going to recommend. Obviously try to suggest books that either you've read and enjoyed or get good reviews so we don't all struggle together to read something terrible.

And also please don't suggest text book length books; we've got to be able to reasonably complete these suckers.

Once we have all the suggestions, I'll start a new thread with a poll including ALL SUGGESTIONS. We'll vote, and whichever book wins will be February's book. Then at the end of February, I'll start a new poll with all remaining book suggestions, and whichever wins will be March's book. You get the idea.

Suggestions close in one week (Jan 25).

I've not read this, but always hear moms on other BMBs referring to the app that is associated with it. Might be something to look into. The Wonder Weeks. Any STM+'s read the actual book, or follow the Wonder Weeks via the app?

@silvergreen def do. I’m so interested in other cultures’ ways of parenting! Danish, Netherlands, etc., I’ve seen and am excited to read. I haven’t seen a lot from Asian, African or lat am countries, etc., but I find it all fascinating and need to look into more. Even if there is nothing in a book I’d want to incorporate into my own life, still love reading about it.
