How is everyone feeling? 2nd trimester energy boost? Hard to breathe? Too cold? Is anyone interested in posting a fitness goal for the next week and checking in next Friday?
I went to the gym on Wednesday! And I'm sore from just jogging on the eliptical, sigh. I was going to go back today, but I forgot that I only have one pair of maternity athletic leggings (another sigh) which I have not washed, soooo maybe I'll just do squats in the living room instead. Derp. Also I got the note from my doctor to quit my $$$$ gym membership, so I'm debating if I want to try class pass since it's so much cheaper and would give me access to a lot of different gyms with prenatal classes. Decisions decisions.
@llamamama14 I would like to post a fitness goal for February, and then check-in next week about how I'm doing slowly working my way up to making it a habit lol. I guess my fitness goal is 30 min of actual cardio 3x/week + at least 2 days of some strength/stability.
Yay @doxiemoxie212 well done. And a good reminder I need to shop for some maternity workout bottoms before it's too late... I've been using classpass since last July and the value for your $$$ is just incredible. I'm at a point now where I'm tired of exploring, know the two studios I love and the visit limits are getting annoying, but at literally half of the cost of the most discounted options the studios offer on their own, I'm sticking with it.
@llamamama14 Yes! My fitness goal for this week is to workout at least 1x during the week (I'm good on weekends but terrible about making things happen after work) and get 7,000 steps every day. I'll bump it up as we go along!
@llamamama14 you are lucky. Mine do not fit at all. But I think my hips (structurally) have widened dramatically. I also preferred very tight clothes pre-pregnancy so that’s probs part of it. Oh and the fact I gained 15 lbs in December. Lol
@doxiemoxie212 My normal work out pants didn't fit anymore either as of last week. I actually had some old pairs that were a size bigger thank goodness. My hips also have gotten bigger (as well as my butt haha!) And my pants were pretty tight too. Just making room for baby! Do you just like classes? I have never tried class pass.
Goals: Weightlifting at gym 2 x a week, home tabata 3 x a week. More glute exercises when Im laying around watching tv.
@ahill24 yea I really need a class environment to do a real workout. That and there’s technically a gym in my building I could use for free but clearly I do not lol. Tabata is no joke. I’ve done that a few times and each time I can barely walk the week after.
@doxiemoxie212 After I had my first child, I found it really hard to make it to the gym more than 2 x a week so I started at home workouts that morphed into tabata bc 1.) I'm lazy 2.) my husband did them. I definitely have toned them down but its nice to be done in 24 minutes. Hope you like the Classpass!

AFM my goal is a gym class 4x a week. I'll might drop it to 3x when the weather gets nicer and I can get active outdoors.
I will plan on doing goal check-ins on Fridays (or if someone else starts this thread next time feel free to take the lead.)
