How many weeks are you/baby's size? 10 weeks today! It makes me happy to be in double digits and to know that I'm officially 1/4 done with this pregnancy. I'm not one that loves being pregnant haha. Apparently my baby is now the size of a golden snitch but since I don't actually know how big that is I'll go with TB's version which says baby is a strawberry.

How do you feel? I feel not pregnant at all, which is kind of scary some days. Besides the intense cravings and my jeans not fitting anymore I wouldn't even know I had a baby bean in there.

Any appts this week? No appts until 1/31. Whomp whomp.

Rants/raves/questions? My only rant is the idiots I work with. I'm over it. They're unreliable, they make terrible decisions, there is no common sense and they're lazy. I've been applying for new jobs closer to home just to remove some of this stress. Raves? DS2 is finally using the potty! It has been one uphill battle so it's wonderful that it's finally all coming together.

GTKY: What's your favorite part about being pregnant so far? What's your least favorite part? So far I have zero complaints about being pregnant, I know the uncomfortable-ness is coming and coming fast so I'm trying to enjoy still feeling pretty normal while I can.

How many weeks are you/baby's size? 9w today! According to Ovia little one is the size of a jack...you know like when people used to play with those little dice sized things? Do they even make jacks anymore?

How do you feel? Pretty good really. I get some gastro-ish issues (reflux, wanting to poo, constipation, pooing a lot, etc etc) but for the most part I'm a lucky one.

Any appts this week? I had my first U/S earlier this week and we got to see our little gummy bear dancing around in there. Super active, great heartbeat and exactly on schedule.

Rants/raves/questions? Ticker change day on Fridays is going to mean a lot of raves! I love the weekends with my little guy. He's just at such a fun age right now and gets so excited about every little thing. Bubbles are his latest fascination and he will dance around in the bubbles for hours.

GTKY: What's your favorite part about being pregnant so far? What's your least favorite part?
Least favorite: I don't love the beginning stages and the not telling anyone thing. I feel like I look huge and people are probably whispering behind my back. Also, I miss wine. Not like I drink a lot, but I really do love sitting down at the end of a long day with a glass of wine and winding down for the night.

Most favorite: It's just so darn exciting! Seeing that little gummy bear dancing around in there....sigh, it's just everything!

YES I love ticker changes and I'm glad to see them here now!

How many weeks are you/baby's size? 8 weeks today, raspberry

How do you feel? I am tired, mainly it hits at night and I just go to bed early. I've had some cramping this week, but other than that no real symptoms. I'm craving carbs more than normal, but I'm just using that as an excuse to eat them all!

Any appts this week? TW --- I had an ultrasound today due to cramping and some spotting this week. Everything looks good from what the u/s tech could tell though, so I am feeling MUCH better than I have been the past few days. I also don't have my first appointment with my OB until 2/6, so now I can relax a bit!

Rants/raves/questions?
Rant: We hired a new team member and she started last week. When I got back from my appointment she was leaving. I guess she 'doesn't feel good' and her stomach is upset, so she is going home. She seems pretty great so far, so even though I don't want her to be sick, I'm hoping she really is and she isn't going to be super flaky.
Rave: DH was able to meet me at the appointment and I loved seeing his reaction to the little squish on the screen. It just became a little bit more real for us and I think especially for him.

GTKY: What's your favorite part about being pregnant so far? What's your least favorite part?
Favorite: My DS. Every time we talk about the baby he starts talking in this soft 'baby voice' and it just kills me! Last night when I said "where's the baby at?" he walked right over to me and then rubbed and kissed my belly. Heart melted.
Least: I miss wine. Like @livinthesunnylife said, it is being able to pour a glass after a stressful day and just relax with DH.

How many weeks are you/baby's size? 10 weeks! I think I read size of a strawberry. About an inch and a quarter or so.

How do you feel? Today I feel pretty good. Just tired as usual, a little backache. We'll see how I feel tomorrow lol.

Any appts this week? No, not until February 7 I think.

Rants/raves/questions? Rave: I'm about to book a condo for a week on the beach at the end of May. I'll be like 28 weeks pregnant, and I can't wait. I love the beach. Just running it by my doctor. We're also going to take my sis which may be a huge mistake but we'll see. And no, it's not where there have been ANY local Zika transmissions.

GTKY: What's your favorite part about being pregnant so far? What's your least favorite part? My favorite part is when I think, "Wow, I have 2 hearts beating in me, right now. I am growing a whole person. A spine. A brain. This is awesome." My least favorite part is the swing in symptoms. Some days I feel great, some days I feel like poo. A happy medium would be fine, haha.

9 weeks baby is the size of a grape

How do you feel?
Pretty crappy a lot of the time. Lots of nausea and GI issues plus flat out exhaustion.

Any appts this week?
Monday I’m interviewing a new midwife. I have an appointment booked for later in the day with my prior midwife so if i like the new one better I’ll have to last minute cancel it. I’m nervous about making the decision because I love the midwife I know but there are 4 in the practice and I had a not so great interaction with one of the them at the end of my last pregnancy.

Rants/raves/questions?
My rave is that my husband just got a promotion at work we really needed so I’m super happy!

GTKY: What's your favorite part about being pregnant so far? What's your least favorite part?

My favorite part is just the feeling of possibility and anticipation. My least favorite is feeling sick and feeling anxious over what could go wrong.

I just asked about this in fffc but are we changing the check ins again? Weren't we doing by the week?

It seems enough people prefer ticker to weekly, especially considering nobody even did a weekly one last week.

You don't know when you go from x weeks 6 days to y weeks 0 days? You don't actually have to have a ticker to participate in a ticker change. I do have a ticker but I also know that every Friday is when I go to the next week.

You don't know when you go from x weeks 6 days to y weeks 0 days? You don't actually have to have a ticker to participate in a ticker change. I do have a ticker but I also know that every Friday is when I go to the next week.

Nope I ovulated super late and don't have an expected due date yet. I won't get it for weeks still. So no dice. Sorry I'm moody and just think it's kinda dumb to change again but I know my opinion and schedule isn't the only one that matters.

I guess I'm old school BMB because I thought this was the normal way of doing it? It used to be. Everyone will have a due date eventually and that becomes the day of the week that you have a ticker change.

@livinthesunnylife agreed. I hate being one of those like "back in the day" but for real, I didn't even know there was another way of doing it. I don't think the DD threads even made sense. Like you said, everyone will have a due date and everyone should know at some point what day they advance to the next week.

The due date weeks were so you could check in with people who were due the same week as you, and thus be about the same developmentally and such, vs the week day ticker changes you could vary by 5 weeks and not be near the same development as each other

9 weeks, the size of a pecan.

How do you feel?
Pretty crappy! Lots of all day sickness, heartburn, and crazy moods swings. My poor hubby sometimes, other times he deserves it

Any appts this week?
Had one earlier this week for a med check and we got to see the baby wiggling around in there with a heartbeat of 171

Rants/raves/questions?
Lots of rants this week! Did I mention I was moody. No one is helping around the house (and I have two additional grown adults here) it looks like a tornado has gone through my house and dropped a department store worth of clothes that need to be washed!
They also changed my meds which means an extra shot each day and checking my blood sugar 8 times a day. Insurance is having a fit so I have to wait for they to approve that and my morning sickness meds.
Raves: I am currently extremely grateful for Spicy Garlic Sauce from Buffalo Wild Wings, I may have been there 3 times this week!

GTKY: What's your favorite part about being pregnant so far? What's your least favorite part?
Favorite part: knowing I am growing a little human in there!
Least favorite: this all day sickness is for the birds! I am hoping it goes away in the second trimester.

How do you feel?
Pretty good. I am a little nausea at the end of the day. But overall not bad.

Any appts this week?
Tw...Had a follow up yesterday for the surgery to remove ectopic and an ultrasound today. Everything looked great and got to see the heartbeat. I feel so much better getting to see that everything is OK.

Rants/raves/questions?
Rave- There is a bakery near my house that sells Paczi donuts before lent. I picked up a bunch after my appointment. Holy smokes they are sugar coated balls of heaven. It is taking all my self control not to go eat the rest of them!

I don't like how tried and bloated I am but everything else is exciting!

How many weeks are you/baby's size?
10 weeks. A strawberry.

How do you feel?
Eh. I'm still pretty constantly nauseous. I'm eating constantly to fight it off, which just means I spend a good chunk of time feeling sick from being too full, too. Plus, I think I've put on at least 10 lbs already.

Any appts this week?
Nope. Not until the 31st. And then my next ultrasound is on the 2nd.

Rants/raves/questions?
I'm just so sick of the first trimester. I want to be able to think about something other than what I'm eating, and I want to be able to be openly pregnant at work.

GTKY: What's your favorite part about being pregnant so far? What's your least favorite part?
Favorite: I hate feeling so crappy, but it is making me feel pretty confident in this pregnancy. I'm getting really excited about having a new tiny baby, and I'm excited about DS becoming a big brother.
Least favorite: See rant above.

As for the ticket change question, I was initially in favor of switching to the weekly because I was originally on Sunday and no one checked in with me. But I agree, the weekly never seemed to click, and I think we now have enough people who know their ticker day to have a good group.
