    @northbeach3 and @J1006 Congrats! 5 blasts is quite an accomplishment.
    @chillvazz Yay for 17 fertilized.
    @hoping4lilbit Beautiful embies & congrats on your transfer.
    @ed2018  Welcome! No side effects from Menopur with me. I found that mixing it with needle was much easier.
    @efavell02 FX for a sticky one. I am very tempted to ask my doctor  to transfer two this time (mostly in order to save time), but you got me thinking twice there when I started reading on complications from twins.
    AFM, trigger today with ER on Sunday and hoping for around 10 mature eggs.

    Thanks Ladies! I appreciate your answers.  Still trying to navigate thru here with all of  the information and trying to respond to back. Is there a short cut with the @ button? Forgive me if I am not replying correctly.
    @hoffmanr7. Thank you. The needle works much better!!
    @halfanewt will try the icing.  I heard that can take the sting out
    @J1006. Thank you, my dr told me I could take Tylenol or excedrine but I was worried about the excedrine.
    @roisis thanks for the sheet. I will update that. That is really nice to keep track of with the whole process.
    @sidilly thanks for the information

  • I am so glad I found this forum. New to this whole IVF thing so not sure of anything, I feel so lost sometimes and wonder if I am doing it right...it's nice to read the comments and know there are other and I am not alone!
    I started my stims on 1/14 with Gonal and menopur.  The menopur stings everytime and my headaches come and go throughout the day.
    Had my day 5 U/S and labs yesterday And was told to start the cetrotide tonight. Not looking forward to that!
    I am feeling extremely tired last 2 days. Usually I wake up when my husband moves at night, but last 2 night don't remember anything! Did anyone here got so tired? I am literally trying to keep my eyes open as i write this.
    @matfi236 and @ed2018, i think you guys started to do the stims a day before me?
  • @northbeach3 Yay! So exciting! FX for a sticky embaby!!! (BTW, the black out isn't dark enough and you can still see your full name coming through on your pic so you may want to fix it!!!)

  • @knottie821bc0e621b0fe53 Yup!  I started on 1/13!

    I'm pretty sure I'm in a perpetual state of tired because I always stay up way too late knitting and then have to get up early for work!  In all seriousness though I've not really noticed that I have felt any different than a normal cycle (no bloating or tireness or anything).

  • @knottie821bc0e621b0fe53 I feel the same way you do. Welcome to the group! I started 1/13 so yes one day before you. I don’t sleep that well in general so I haven’t noticed too much of a difference with sleep.  I had two horrible headaches this week that felt like migraines.  I did take Tylenol to help. I was trying to stay away from taking anything but it felt debilitating.
    I did notice I feel more tired throughout the day then I did before starting
     The menopur stings me too. I have tried icing, suggestion of fellow ivfers and that helps a little too.

  • @Knottie821bc0e621b0fe53 I felt the same way, tired and slept solid through the night and I’m usually a very restless sleeper and wake up about 4 times a night. Since I started stimming the second I lay my head down I fall asleep and I’m out cold till the morning. I don’t mind it to be honest. Welcome! My only suggestion is to log onto the knot and change your user name so we can recognize you.

  • @kiwi2628 good luck today!! Thinking of you on your transfer day!

    AFM I will trigger tonight and ER will be on Monday!
  • welcome to the board @ed2018 and knottie821... as @roisis mentioned, i started a google sheet to keep track of everyone's point in their cycle. feel free to update your lines as you get more info and check out where everyone else is at.

    @beachbunnyxo123 can't believe your time is already here! Sending your developing eggs lots of meiosis maturation love. and it looks like @marfi236 is right behind! so exciting for all of you!

    @kiwi2628 yay, congrats! i had to look up 'PASP' b/c that was the first time i heard it. well i like the positivity of the message so I'm PASP too! i've been trying to stay off google but i'm stressing myself out with the blastocyst grading systems. i think you were the one who said it can go either way where highly graded don't implant and vice versa. also trying to minimize symptom spotting and imaginary symptoms.   :(:|:s

    @northbeach3 yea, that sound like me. I mean, higher graded blasts absolutely have a higher chance of implanting (especially if the trophectoderm grading is higher), but AA can fail and CC can implant, so its not a guaranteed thing, by any means. One stat I read said (and I dont have the exact numbers on me, so these are remembered, may not be exact)  that a A TE grade implanted 55% of the time, a B TE grade implanted like 44% and C did like 24%. But stats are stats are stats are stats, and you and your embryo are you, so FX for us all!
  • Hi all,

    New to this board:  DH and I are TTC #5 via IVF w/my eggs.  It's been almost 10 years since my youngest was born and I had a tubal ligation in 2011 when I was sure we were done. :-) I did stim with Gonal, retrieved 7 eggs on 1/10 with all 7 fertilized.  Transferred 3 embryos on 1/13, awaiting HcG blood test on 1/25.  The wait is killing me!!  I am having some symptoms that could be something, but could be nothing.  Light occasional cramping, sore breasts, vacillate between hot and cold, and fatigue.  Praying for all of you ladies!!

    @brandydawg14 Welcome to the board. It's a really cool place to hang out and connect with people going thru the same experience.
    @northbeach3 Thanks for the warm wishes!

    Just came back from ER. No side effects so far, feeling good and hungry :). A little disappointed with the egg count though. 8 eggs out of what looked like 12 mature size follicles. Praying for most of the eggs to fertilize and hoping that quality will win over quantity, as it actually did with so many people here already.
  • @sidilly Happy Egg Retrieval Day!! <3 8 is wonderful!! Hope you are having a good relaxing day now!

  • Congratulations to all the PASP women! Good luck with the TTW I know it can feel like an eternity...
    @laurengon82 it’s great that you get to transfer Tuesday! So exciting, FX that all 7 stay strong!

    I got a 3 day update: 10 embies are between 6 & 8 cell all of those are good quality (not great but good!) 3 are 5 cell, 2 are 4 cell, 2 are 3 cell. I couldn’t get anymore info out of the embryologist. Except... she did tell me “Stop googling because no matter the statistics show, every embryo does it’s own thing.”

    I’m having a rough ER recovery. Now I understand better why my Dr. is doing a freeze all. My body really does need time to heal from the >30 follicles. I think I have mild OHSS.  The scheduled transfer is now March 14th, longer then I expected but the office said they don’t have room for me until then.
  • @chillvazz 10 embies is wonderful!!! Hope you get to feeling better!! Your embryologist has a good point! I know I'm guilty of "googling" everything! Sounds like you are on a great track already, so try to get some rest and not worry too much :)

  • So, I know I am not supposed to take an HPT before my Beta, but I couldn't help myself!!  I have been taking one every day since 4 days post ET.  The first two came up with faint lines (probably the leftovers from my trigger), then nothing for three days, then a very faint positive two days ago to a pretty decent positive today.  I have my beta on Thursday, but is it possible that the HPT is right this early?  I am 9 days post-ET today, which seems early to me.

  • @northbeach3 congrats on 5!

    @brandydawg14 I’m not sure, but in my opinion I think it’s a good thing you got the positive then negative and back to positive. FX for a positive beta for you!!

    AF arrived early for me!! Now I get to start my long process toward my FET. Back on BCP for now....and anxiously awaiting my PGS testing.
  • @beachbunnyxo123 good luck today!!
    @kristimh80 yay for starting stims!!
    @northbeach3 congrats on 5 frosties! Thats great!!

    AFM- 2 dpt and I feel.....nothing. I actually feel like it didn't work, which is kind of a bummer. And I know you dont 'feel' anything yet, I mean more in my heart, I don't think it worked. I get the final freeze report today so we shall see about that, but I am feeling kind of down.

  • Hello ladies   just found this forum and I've been reading and found it so informative!  I'm currently stimming (day 7 of micordose lupron in the am and pm/follistim 300 /menopur 150).  Last month we got one embryo but it doesn't look good, it was frozen but I've been told that will be our "Plan B" as CCS was inconclusive (RE thinks it's because the sample was too small). She said that they could thaw/biopsy/test/re-freeze but she doesn't think it will survive a second thaw.
    As of yesterday I had 6 on each side all "less than 10" which is the worst thing to hear when you assume things are moving in the right direction.  12 is more than I had last month at this time so I'm choosing to be positive.  I'm back for monitoring on Wednesday hopefully news will be better then. Good luck to all!
  • @brandydawg14 Welcome!  I know its so hard to not POAS.  I am amazed I have made it this long without (our Beta is on Wed).  Fx for your Thursday beta!
    @ASabelko and @Firework7479 Welcome
    @sidilly Fx for a good fert rate!
    @laurengon82 Good luck on your transfer Tues
    @chillvazz Grow little embies grow!  Sorry you are having a rough ER recovery.
    @kristimh80 Happy (belated) first day of stims!  I love the pic!!
    @hoping4lilbit I am on progesterone in oil injections.  I had done progesterone supps after each of my 3 iuis.  I never would have thought, but I prefer the injections.  No goopy discharge.
    @northbeach3 Yay for your 5 frosties!!
    @kiwi2628 I'm sorry you are feeling that way.  I understand how hard it can be to stay positive sometimes.  Keeping my fx for you

    So I was talking with a friend yesterday and mentioned to her that I had been wracking my brain trying to think of a nickname for our embaby as I have just been calling it embie in my daily pep talks to it.  She came up with the perfect one.....Rio!  So now DH and I have begun to refer to it as Rio.

  • @hoffmanr7 I’m looking forward to the PIO injections for that reason, the suppositories were annoying.

  • @kristimh80. Documenting the journey is always nice.  Hopefully you won’t get any headaches from the menopur. I was told I could take Tylenol. I have an appointment tomorrow and hopefully will find out when I trigger.  I am thinking end of week for the retrieval.   I never went under anesthesia so I’m worried about that but the end result is worth it.  Then will wait while they test everything.  We are doing pgd and pgs testing.  Something I’m not familiar with at all but I assume feb/March if all goes well
  • @ed2018 Awesome!! I went under anesthesia once, all I remember it was like a good sleep. I don't remember passing out and was groggy when I woke up, kind of in a daze!  We are doing PGS testing as well, so will be playing the waiting game as well. We are anticipating a March transfer, as my dr would like the body to rest and be as close to a natural cycle as possible.
