@suchaglencoco i have a funny story about your UO. My first job i worked in a small office with 2 other women, i went to the bathroom and changed the direction of the tp to be on the top, and then later i went back and someone changed it to the bottom... so i changed it again... then my coworker came back after a bathroom trip later and made a comment about some person who kept flipping the tp... we had a good laugh because we both thought each other were freaks for changing it. But 100%, it should lay on the top!!!
@ivyvines6, I think it depends on the man. DEFINITELY Tom Selleck, though. Always facial hair, please. LOL @onesmallcoconut are you crazy, girl?? Ballet flats for the win! @suchaglencoco YES, always! I know some people do it because they have kids/pets who will unravel the whole roll if it's put that way, but I have to seriously resist the urge to change it if I'm in someone else's house and find it the wrong way.
AFM, I think men with too many muscles look gross. Yummy:

@ivyvines6 I’m not trying to be dramatic but if my husband ever shaves his beard, I will jump off a cliff. I can’t say for sure that all men look better with a beard, but my husband looks 12 without one so the beard stays.
UO- related to facial hair- I think solo mustaches look good on absolutely no one except the character Jack from “This Is Us.” **edit to add also Tom Selleck at the request of @suchaglencoco, she’s right, he works it***
UO - unrelated - Mac and Cheese is superior to velveeta and shells, although Velveeta gets points for requiring no additional ingredients other than what they include in the box, whereas Mac and Cheese requires butter and milk.
Also I would rather have classic blue box Kraft mac and cheese than ~fancy~ mac and cheese from a restaurant.
@sandbar517 It's probably because I'm only 5'1" so I've been wearing heels since high school to feel taller lol. I remember them being awkward at first to walk in back then but never really painful. The only times I recall heels hurting me are those crazy bar nights from my early twenties where I'd be on the dance floor for hours in them boozing it up and then paying for it the next day lol
@bjkay22 I cannot accept that KD is better than Velveeta and shells. Nope. No way. I will agree that they have entirely different tastes but... Velveeta and Shells is superior.
On facial hair, I like a good scruff or 5oclock shadow but cannot get behind a full on beard. It's just not for me.
Also on the TP topic when I moved in with DH (bf at the time) I didn't ever pay attention to what way I put it on and it drove him insane lol. It took me a few years but now I always make sure it's on top and I do notice when others have it under.
Yeah MH loses about 29 years from his face when he shaves... I can’t handle “kissing a baby” when he does it! Also, scruff does not feel nice on my face, let alone my lady bits, so beard beard beard, always beard.
I really don’t like Kraft max and cheese... I buy it for MH because he loves it, but it’s not for me. I didn’t eat it that way very often as a kid though. My mom made homemade style and the velveeta version tastes more similar. (Plus powdered cheese grossed me out way more than it should having grown up in the US)
Eta: on muscles... It depends on the dude... I prefer guys to be more “husky” than muscley...
I have another one... Children should have the right to learn about sex from a young age. Period. If you teach a child about sex early, anatomical correctly, and often, they are less likely to engage in riskier types of sex in the long run.
I am not saying that a four-year-old needs to understand basic mechanics of giving fellatio, however I do believe that a four-year-old should know how babies are made. (to an extent.)
On that note, @onesmallcoconut, I would honestly take Tom Selleck over Jason Momoa any day. He's definitely good looking, but he just doesn't really do it for me. Not sure why. @ivyvines6 I completely agree, I don't see a reason people would get all bent out of shape over me telling my almost 4 year olds that the baby will (hopefully) come out of my vagina. And what's with all the stork bullshit? They haven't asked where the baby came from, but if they do, why do people have such a hard time telling them? A special cell (or however you want to explain what a cell is....) from a woman and a special cell from a man come together and make a baby. Sometimes the baby grows inside the mom, sometimes the cells are put together and then put into mom to grow, sometimes the mom can't grow the baby inside her so someone else will do it for her. When they're big enough, they come out of the body through the vagina, or sometimes the doctor has to take them out through the belly. Ta da. Age appropriate, completely true, and not risque in the least. Just science.

@bjkay22 kraft Mac and cheese is definitely superior to all the other Mac and cheese out there. The best being the spiral noodles. However, I don’t think you can go wrong with any kind of Mac and Cheese. Homemade, velveta, deep fried - Sign me up!
@ivyvines6 yep! My parents legit never had "the talk" of any kind with me. Which is so strange to me. Do you want your kid to find out this stuff from their friends at school? I would rather my kids be educated on sex and the science of baby making by me, then what I heard from my friends in 3rd grade "sex is when a man sticks his penis in a womans vagina." Seriously...that's all I got. hahah. Then, when I went on birth control when I was 14 (for heavy periods) all my mom said to me was "this doesn't mean you can have sex. That includes oral." First of all, I was mortified. Second of all, it didn't prevent me from doing anything...it just made me feel guilty because my mom told me not to do any of it. As an adult now, that comment from my mom still sticks with me and definitely made me lose some respect for her.
@ivyvines6@sandbar517 this is something I should be better about. We haven't covered the term "vagina" at this point, but I am sure we will be covering that once baby sister arrives.
He used to think babies come from the factory like in Boss Baby, but is very interested in HOW the baby is going to come out of me. He initially asked if I was going to throw it up.
@clee5711 omg I haven’t had Kraft Mac & cheese spirals in years. And now I require it. Currently telling the husband to go to the grocery store to get some.
@onesmallcoconut LOL same way with my DH! I previously had no preference which way the roll went but I learned quickly it must be put on top. I had no idea it was such a serious offense.
@mileswithmyles I wouldn't worry too much about it. At this age, I think it's more about answering questions than it is bringing it up yourself and teaching it. We've talked about vaginas because there are three in the house. I'm pretty sure we've used the word penis around them, but it's not something that's been discussed at length because a. they don't have one and b. the only ones they've seen would be MH's (rarely) and their cousin when he's getting his diaper changed. They seem to be making the differentiation between so and so is a boy and so and so is a girl, but I can't imagine that a penis or vagina factors into that decision at this point. It's not like we sit around and talk about penises and vaginas all day LOL but I have mentioned it once or twice, that not everyone who looks like a man/woman or has a penis/vagina is a man/woman, but I haven't gone into a ton of detail about it. I just said some people want to be a man/woman no matter whether they have a penis/vagina and left it at that. And I honestly probably wouldn't have even gone into that much detail yet, except I have a nephew who is transgender and I figure it will be easier to teach them to be cognizant of those issues now as opposed to later. I think the most important thing up to a certain age is to answer questions honestly and age appropriately and when they get to be a certain age is when you need to ask them questions about what they know and do your teaching then.

@kpc914 you'd be surprised! I think the over/under debate is more even than you think. A friend and his wife fought about it. Now they have a framed photo of the patent for tp hanging in their guest bathroom, haha.
@onesmallcoconut, I'm sorry, but we cannot be friends. Tom Selleck will always be hot. Haha.
I am "meh" with facial hair. I think it looks good on some guys, but it's not a must for me. Actually, I don't think I ever dated a guy with more than scruff unless it was no shave November.
Re- muscles. I like toned and semi muscular, but too many muscles is definitely a turn off. Like the Rock is a perfect example of muscular before getting too muscular.
@mileswithmyles@sandbar517 same thing here. We talk more about penises because DS has one. He asked me once where mine was when we were in the tub and he learned vagina, but because he asked. He then called in H to verify what I was saying and asked about H's penis lol.
In my household, tp on the roll is the right way. DS likes to unroll it and DH won't put a new roll on.
+1 for teaching about bodies as the topic comes up. I got a text from one of DS's friend's mommy. She said her daughter announced at dinner that my son has a penis. They go to the same daycare and I guess she noticed when they were going to the bathroom. Lovely dinner conversation.
My UO is that I don't like when people talk about their LO has a boyfriend/girlfriend. I know people do it to be funny.
@onesmallcoconut Wedges for the WIN! @suchaglencoco I didn't know this was a thing. I shall obey the rules of TP @sandbar517 I prefer tall, lanky, with a littel toned muscle...too many muscles GROSS @mileswithmyles Now that's just gross.....yellow hearts make me gag.
My UO: I thought Ladybird was freaking stupid. I also didn't find the appeal in Shape of Water.....
@ivyvines6 I know people are just being funny. I guess I just feel like kids grow up faster than they should sometimes (clothing they wear, things they see on tv/online, etc). One of DS's little friends said DS was her boyfriend and her mom told me about it. I chuckled about it with her, but I don't ask DS if he has a girlfriend at school. We just talk about all his friends (male or female). To each their own
This is definitely more me venting than an UO but here I go anyways....
We found out yesterday that we are having another boy and had our family over for dinner and a reveal. Why do people feel the need to say congratulations and then ask immediately if we hoped it was a girl this time??? Or ask/assume that we are going to have a third because now we will have two boys. Can’t you just let us enjoy that we have a healthy baby boy growing in my stomach?
@clee5711, I think people are just insensitive sometimes. I'm not sure why everyone's perfect family is a mother, father, son and daughter. Families are great because of their diversity!

I wish I found high heels comfortable.
Indifferent on beards in general, but I think my husband would look terrible with one (sorry DH!). Random article on men's facial hair and sexist attitudes (inconclusive answer and each study had diff takeaways, but I always think of these studies when facial hair comes up): https://www.forbes.com/sites/zhanavrangalova/2017/12/13/are-bearded-men-more-sexist-than-their-clean-shaven-peers/#5b20fab876d9

@onesmallcoconut @sandbar517 agreed about the flats, especially Tieks. Worth every freakin' penny.
@bjkay22 just mustaches =pornstache from Orange is the New Black. Tom Selleck is the only one who can pull it off.
@clee5711 yessssss! I will only eat Kraft Spirals. ....I know it's technically the same as regular...but, it just tastes better
@mileswithmyles tieks are life
