Oh god, I hope I get similar news to you @efavell02 and @northbeach3 ! Congrats! I am so scared tomorrow they will call and say I only have like 2 growing, or worse, that they all died or something
@hoffmanr7 I feel for you, it's pretty devastating, I kind of went thru the same thing with my previous IVF. I had only one to freeze on day 6 and I didn't feel good about that embryo's potential at all. I had to do a FET on my next cycle (because I am in the guaranteed program and can't start a fresh cycle if there are any frozen embryos left) and it didn't work. So I lost almost 5 months to get to a new fresh cycle and that drove me crazy. Don't forget that your best embryo got transferred and that's already a huge success and your best chance for BFP. Sending you a lot of sticky vibes!
@laurengon82 I just triggered! Done with shots! Thanks for the symptom sharing I was afraid I was getting OHSS.
Speaking of OHSS my Dr said we need to Freeze All Embryos that I get and do a FET in 2 to 4 weeks. My Estrogen level is over 5,000 and it’s standard procedure that no fresh transfer be made with it that high for risk of OHSS also lower pregnancy rates. I was so looking forward to having this awesome group during the 2ww but it’s not in my cards. I will stick around to see how everyone does! That was all from last night! @hoffmanr7 I’m sorry, but thank goodness you have the one. Try to eat healthy, & treat yourself right, all it takes is one! Stick Vibes!!!
@chillvazz Don't feel bad, I have to do a freeze-all as well. So you're not alone! I was starting to think I'd have to find other friends as well for FET's too. FX you don't get any OHSS symptons!

@hoffmanr7 I am so sorry that your remaining two blasts didn't make it to freeze Crossing my fingers that your little embaby is snuggling in for a long 9 months right now!!!
@efavell02 GL on your transfer tomorrow! So exciting! FX that your little embies continue to grow strong!
@chillvazz The same thing happened to me. My e2 was just below 5000 on trigger day so they expected it to still rise a bit more. At my ER they confirmed I had to do a freeze all. I didn't end up getting OHSS (I didn't trigger with hcg because of it) so that was great - hope you escape it too! I'm actually scheduled for my FET on Feb 1st which is almost exactly 4 weeks from my ER. If you end up scheduling your FET for February, come join us on the Feb FET thread GL with your ER tomorrow!

@hoffmanr7 so sorry! Praying that your one gets nice and comfy and sticks.
We we got our report today and it could have been better. I’m a little confused and didn’t catch the mistake until DH said something. I may have written numbers down wrong. So originally we had 11 mature eggs. 7 successfully fertilized, three didn’t fertilize and one fertilized abnormally. Day 3 we had 6 developing correctly and one that was behind t growth. Today on our day 5 report she said one made it to blast and was frozen, one was lost because it wasn’t dividing properly and 6 needed more time in culture. That total makes 8. How would you take that. The one that was lost was the one that fertilitized abnormally? Or that I wrote 6 when it should have been five? Which is very possible. Luckily I only have to wait until tomorrow for a final report.
AFM - still not a hint of AF. Getting frustrated - don't think I'll be starting stims until next week now

@hoffmanr7 sorry to hear about your loss, and praying you got one sticky embaby.
@efavell02 hope all went well with your transfer and am looking forward to your update.
@chillvazz hope all went well with your ER and you got plenty of mature eggs.
AFM, thank you for all for wishing me well on ER day. I was surprised at how uncomfortable I was when I woke up this morning. The ER went well. The nurse said there were 10 eggs that were good enough to take. The doctor said I will hear from him tomorrow to let me know how fertilization is going. I am just spending the day resting with my heating pad and some Tylenol.
Dr. got 18 eggs today & we are very happy with that. Fertilization report tomorrow morning! I talked the embryologist into saying she’ll give me a 3 day report, they don’t normally do that at USF IVF. Oh and they will freeze on day 6 Wednesday, I thought that was weird.
@laurengon82 Great news!! 8 is wonderful!! Hope you have good relaxing day!
@chillvazz Congrats on 18!! I believe my RE also does a freeze all on Day 6. I've hear some say Day 5 and 6 embryos aren't much difference, but have heard others say the extra day give some that extra push / growth:)

@chillvazz congrats on 18!! My doctor does a freeze at day 5 or 6 whenever they are ready. We had a bunch need that extra day. She said no difference in pregnancy rates between day 5 blasts and day 6 blasts.
Final report from our embryologist: FIVE high quality embryos frozen! One day 5 and 4 day 6. I was shocked! Now we wait a week for our PGS testing to come back.

@chillvazz I was feeling really crampy after the procedure. My husband didn’t go so gently over a speed bump in the Walgreens parking lot and that made me yelp! I put the heating pad on and took some Tylenol and that helped a lot. I did dishes after dinner too. Lol. I’m think I’ll be able to go to work tomorrow. Im just going to keep taking the Tylenol through tomorrow just to be safe. How are you feeling? Hopefully well.
@laurengon82 Woo! 10 eggs I can't wait to hear the update you get tomorrow!
@chillvazz Yay! 18 eggs is great! That's so awesome!

Had my transfer today and I’m having such a hard time staying positive. We had 1 make it to blast but it had a low grade and only a 35% chance of pregnancy. We had 3 morulas, that will probably make it to strong blasts tmrw with higher grading to freeze. The dr said we couldn’t wait one more day for transfer because that would be risking my lining. We could put back the blast and a morula with 60% chance, but a 30% chance of twins. I am more scared of complications from twins than I am of doing an FET, so we put back the 1 blast. I get a report on the other three embryos tmrw. I feel hopeful but disheartened at the same time.

Hello Everyone. I am so happy a board like this exists. Anyone that I know that did ivf, did it Years ago and things have changed. I was looking for some answers online and was happy to stumble upon this. My schedule with work has been hectic and rough since I got a new job in November. we just got thru all genetic testing and will be doing Pgd/pgs testing after retrieval. I just started IVF shots Saturday night. 300 follistim and 150 menopur. Anyone else having trouble using the g cap or mixing the two bottles of menopur and making sure it’s all in the needle? The nurse told me it’s ok if a little spills. Also any stinging or horrible headaches from the mix? How many follicles are usually a good number at this point? Thank you in advance. I look forward to being on the journey with you.
@efavell02 I’m sorry you had to make that kind of decision but I think you made the right one. I have so much hope that this one will stick!
AFM: so I started my Lupron injections last night and DH and I were trying to figure out where to fill the medicine to on the syringe. I had my meds class over a month ago so after reading through the instructions and thinking I was doing it right, I gave myself the shot. So before I did it tonight we found a bunch of YouTube videos on how to do it and I realized that I filled it wrong yesterday and gave myself 17IU instead of 20IU. I’m sure it’s not a big deal because it was one day and only a 3IU difference but I’m so mad at myself!!

@laurengon82 sorry, I didn’t see that you had posted right above mine, I should have hit refresh. 10 is really good congrats! I woke up in a lot of pain, my Dr. Said it was because my overies were so stretched out from the dozens of follicles. And I threw up twice. The Tylenol 3 is pretty good but I feel best in bed. I’m a stay at home Mom for my 3yo IVF girl, so I have to work tomorrow but I can stay in my PJs all day! Excited to find out about embies tomorrow!!! @efavell02 a hard decision for sure, but it’s good you made the choice that works best for you! Your little bean has a chance just keep your eye on the prize & your so lucky to have some frosties too!!! Sticky Vibes!!!
Sorry you had a bit of a set back @efavell02 - it sucks when you have to make these decisions, but it really sound like you made a good call. I know it's hard, and it's really hard to stay positive but you are now in a state of PUPO (hurrah!) and you made the safest choice for the embies for the future. Best of luck with your numbers tomorrow xx
And welcome @ed2018 !! You're in good company here. I don't seem to use the same medications as most of you (no menopaur) so I can't offer advice on the needle caps - but I do remember other people saying they were getting headaches, so I believe that is quite common - if highly irritating. One thing I've noticed is that everyone's follies seem to grow at different rates - you can see everyone's responses this month on our fab spreadsheet (kindly compiled by @northbeach3 - link in her signature if you need it - or Google Sheets). Of course it's not good to directly compare yourself against anyone else as we're all different! But it is a great source of information.
Best of to luck to everyone waiting to fert reports, and everyone stimming and everyone still waiting to get going xxx

Welcome @ed2018! I used Menopur and yes it’s a little tricky to draw up but you will get better at it. If it’s easier you can just use the needle to draw it up not the q cap. I found it easier to use the q cap, but DH didn’t. It does sting going it. I found going slower when injecting helped. I also got headaches a lot during stims. Not sure if it was the Lupron or something else but I got them often.
@J1006 omg 5!?!? Thats amazing! @ed2018 welcome! @hoping4lilbit congrats on the transfer! I didn't realize you were doing a 3 instead of a 5 day. Good luck!
@ed2018 welcome! Menopur stings for sure. You can try icing the area, letting the liquid come up to room temp, and rubbing the area after (I did the last 2 and it did help). Hope the headaches go away soon!
I was going to writ ethem all out individually, but there were just so many....so a general "Hurray and congratulations!!" for all those ladies with high ER and fert numbers
@efavell02 keeping all of my fingers and toes crossed for a sticky embaby. @ed2018 Welcome! I liked mixing my Menopur with the needle vs the Qcap....and yes it did sting going in. @hoping4lilbit Beautiful embabies!! @shortstack930 I wouldn't sweat it. Try not to be too mad at yourself.
AFM.....
Waiting, waiting, waiting. I had some slight cramping yesterday that I thought could possibly be implantation cramping. Here's hoping!
hi ladies, sorry to post and run... work had me up to my ears yesterday, so just caught up on all the news and transfers and ERs! so many.
thinking of you @efavell02. i know that must have been a difficult decision to make, but you're not out. 35% chance is better than any chances I've had up to this point, so another way to frame is that you don't have a 0% chance. remember i said i was a gambling woman? you can't win if you don't play!
AFM, just got the day 5 report. two were ready to transfer, but i opted for only doing one. my transfer is at 3pm. after it's all said and done, it looks like 3 additional will make it to freeze. now to run so many errands before this afternoon since i was asked to be on bedrest for 24 hours!
@northbeach3 congrats on having 2 day and maybe 3 more tomorrow! Thats great!
@efavell02 I am sorry the one today wasn't ideal, but hopefully the other ones will be better and you can freeze. Plus, healthy babies have come from CC or even DD embryos, while AA embryos have failed to implant...so you never know.

@efavell02 will be thinking of you tomorrow! Can’t believe transfer days are already here! Sending you welcoming womb vibes!!!
And wishing you a good day 3 report @kiwi2628!! Day by day! Let’s go little embies.

@chillvazz hope you are doing ok and your E2 didnt get too hight
@laurengon82 congrats on 10!
@kiwi2628 amazing new!!!
@laurengon82 how are you feeling?
@efavell02 sticky vibes & baby dust to you!

@j1006 awesome! When do you get PGS results back?
@efavell02 sorry you had to make to deal with a tough decision today. FX for today’s to stick and for good news tomorrow!

@hoping4lilbit congrats on the transfer!
@ed2018 welcome!
@hoping4lilbit congrats on the transfer! I didn't realize you were doing a 3 instead of a 5 day. Good luck!
@hoping4lilbit congratulations your in the 2ww!!!
@ed2018 welcome! Menopur stings for sure. You can try icing the area, letting the liquid come up to room temp, and rubbing the area after (I did the last 2 and it did help). Hope the headaches go away soon!
@efavell02 keeping all of my fingers and toes crossed for a sticky embaby.
@ed2018 Welcome! I liked mixing my Menopur with the needle vs the Qcap....and yes it did sting going in.
@hoping4lilbit Beautiful embabies!!
@shortstack930 I wouldn't sweat it. Try not to be too mad at yourself.
AFM.....

@hoping4lilbit congrats on your transfer!
@chillvazz hoping you are feeling better today and congrats on your 17 fertilized!!
thinking of you @efavell02. i know that must have been a difficult decision to make, but you're not out.
