@chillvazz do you know when your ER is going to be? I think I might be extra tired also from these early morning doctors appointments. My appointments have been at 6:30 am before work. I have to get up at about 5 a.m. to get there on time then off to work afterward.
Forth monitoring appointment was this morning. The nurse said not there yet, but follicles are growing. Looking like ER will be on Thursday. I will have to go to work the following day. Trying to save my days. Hopefully I won’t be in too much pain. I teach 5th grade. Hopefully the kiddos will take it easy on me Friday.
@kiwi2628 congrats, 10 eggs is great!!! @hoffmanr7 glad it went well!! I love the picture!

@laurengon82 sounds like you're getting close! looks like you and @chillvazz are gonna be ER buddies. can't wait for the next round of ERs!

@halfanewt Awesome that you had some ready to freeze and some more potentials! And I know what you mean about what to do after you got home. We bought a new bookshelf because I had run out of space onony old one so spent a could of hours getting my bike organized on them......and now I'm exhausted. Did you decide to have DH in with you during the transfer?
Such a great day for everyone it sounds like!! Congrats to all the new transfers!!

@efavell02 we just transferred one. They pretty much told me that’s what was happening, so little decision making involved My clinic prefers single transfers, so unless there’s an obvious issue/reason they don’t really do more than one.
@hoffmanr7 I did end up with him in the room. They had a seat set up where he could also see the screen, but not all the below the sheet work. Better setup than their US rooms where it was more crowded with higher visibility, if you know what I mean. Trying to keep this somewhat mysterious. I ended up taking a nap. Exhausted for sure. You are a rockstar for getting your bookcase in order!
@hoffmanr7 congrats on the ET! Hoping for a super sticky baby! @northbeach yay for 7 fertilized! I hope a bunch of them make it to day 5! @halfanewt FX some or all of the 4 make it to freeze! I know someone on TB who on day 5 only had 1 for freeze (out of 9), but on day 6 had 6 more to freeze, so some really do need that extra day @J1006 Ahhhh! So many! Thats great!
This is currently me, waiting for tomorrow and a fert report to come. Terrified for bad news
@kristimh80. We are doing a frozen transfer. My RE only does frozen transfers which I’m fine with. I want to give my body a little rest. Probably transferring mid March.
Hey everybody! I just wanted to dive into the discussion here We are just starting our first IVF cycle! I actually went in for my baseline today. They found a cyst on my left ovary which I was pretty bummed about. I have to go back in Wednesday for a repeat ultrasound and as long as the cyst isn’t growing or producing estrogen they will let me starts stims! I’m actually kind of freaking out a little... Hoping everything goes smoothly. There’s a lot of hurry up and wait during this process so I’m happy to find this board to help pass the time!

@MamaMunn Welcome!! I just had my baseline done today too! Hopefully everything with your cyst is good! I start stims on Sunday. I agree about the hurry up and wait!! It seems like this month is dragging and I just knew today I'd start stims...but no...2 more days of BC lol

Welcome @MamaMunn there are so many crazy things they find with our reproductive organs it’s all so weird. Hang in there, FX you start your stims!!! @laurengon82 YES ER buddies! I have a sonogram in the AM but my Dr told me we’ll trigger tomorrow night! Makes sense that your so tired getting up that early. My boobs are heavy & tender & my belly is so bloated. I have to walk slow or my overies complain. Do you feel similar?

@kiwi2628 10 is a good number! Send positive vibes to your new little lives & imagine them growing & multiplying cells! It’s exciting not terrifying. We all have such a better chance right now then we did the old fashioned way (I’m so tired of the old fashioned way) LOL
@J1006 Excellent !!! @hoffmanr7 Congrats on the Transfer baby dust & sticky vibes your way!!!
Welcome @MamaMunn! To help you get oriented, check our our board's Google Sheet with everyone's cycle details. I've added you to the sheet as well and you can always find the link from my signature line.
@kiwi2628 yeah, i know the feeling. i was definitely catastrophizing last night about those that would be mature and fertilize. it's clearly a protective mechanism. each day will bring its own ups and downs. one update at a time! we're all here for each other!
@j1006 great day 3 report! hope they all make it to day 5/6! come on snow babies!
@hoffman7 and @halfanewt how many days before you do your betas? did either of you get recommended for bed rest on transfer day? i read my doc's instructions and it looks like he's suggesting bed rest on day of ET.
where are our the rest of our Jan 7-13 week stim ladies? how's follie growth? any ER dates?
@northbeach3 Third day of stims was today, have a check up tomorrow morning so I should have some more information after that appointment!

AFM, ER this morning went fine. We got 7 eggs, 2 are in great condition and 5 we are hoping will grow just a bit more (I didn’t know they could grow after being extracted). Anyway, feeling fine. A little crampy but otherwise it all went well. Looking forward to hearing more tomorrow!
hi ladies, I went offline for the weekend - came back this morning to such amazing results from everyone!!
@hoffmanr7 , @halfanewt - congratulations on your ETs!! That's so exciting to think you guys are there already. I know the TWW is torturous, so try to be good to yourselves and do anything that will keep your mind busy xx
And so many great results from ERs - ok it's official - the January IVF board kicks ass
laurengon82 and @chillvazz for ER this week - and to everyone going for transfers xxx
AFM, still waiting for AF to arrive so I can start stims, I'm bouncing between dying to get going and being petrified of starting all this again. From reading all your updates I'm back to desperately wishing to get going. My silly AF can be really late sometimes, I'm hoping it will arrive sooner rather than later. For personal reasons I was really hoping to have ER completed before the beginning of Feb

@northbeach3 I think it all depends on your doctor. For me, the clinic’s instructions said “take it easy” for 48 hours, but specifically not bed rest. The doctor said “do whatever you want and try not to think about it”. Personally, I was pretty exhausted so I took a nap Beta on the 24th!
So I got my fert report- I got 8 fertilized! Half were done naturally and half by ICSI, so now I wait until my next report Thursday. My god, how am I going to wait that long?
Had my monitoring appointment this morning! Everything is still looking good, I have 10+ under 10 mm on the left and 10 under 10 mm and one 10.5 mm on the right! Waiting for a call from the clinic to see what changes I need to make to my meds (if any) and I'll have my next appointment on Thursday!
ETA: Just got the call, they are having me bump the Follistim up to 200 IU (from 175).

@chillvazz I’m doing my trigger shot as well tonight and ER Thursday morning. I’ve been feeling very bloated too and boobs fell heavy also! Now that it’s so close I’m starting to get nervous!
@efavell02 I think I’ll leave plans for Thursday and Friday in case I’m in a lot of pain. I don’t do well with pain. I’m kind of a baby. Lol
@halfanewt and @hoffmanr7 congrats on your transfers and I hope the 2ww flies by quickly for you! @kiwi2628 and @northbeach3 so happy for your fertilization reports & rooting for some nice and sticky embryos here. I went in for my day 9 stims check up today. 14 follicles developing at a uniform rate but I couldn't catch the sizes. Most likely two more days of stims and trigger on Friday with ER on Sunday, but everything is being decided on a daily basis now. These early morning appointments are so exhausting! Follistim is now 150 down from 225 and they bumped up my Menopur from 75 to 150 two days ago and 225 starting today.

Had my day 10 stim check up today. 8 follicles seem to be ready with the largest at 20 mm and there are 6 more with chances to get to the 15mm with more stims. They told me that anything at 15 mm has a 40% chance of containing a mature egg. I guess all depends on my estrogen level now. If it keeps going up, then I could do 1 or 2 more days of stims to try to get those eggs to mature. If it's plateauing or going down, then I need to trigger so I don't lose the eggs I already have.
@sidilly Exciting!!! FX you can stim for a couple more days, though 8 is a great # to have on board

AFM, got the unfortunate news yesterday that the 2 embryos they were still watching matured but were poor quality and couldn't be frozen I was a big hot mess for a while worrying about not having any back ups in case. Now we really need this one to stick stick stick. I don't know what we will do if this one fails. I am feeling better today though and trying to stay positive and think only good thoughts.

@hoffmanr7 I am so sorry to hear about your 2 embryos. This journey is filled with too many losses along the way. I'm sorry; that really sucks. Thinking positive thoughts for the embryo you transferred!
AFM, we got our update today. Transfer is tomorrow. Out of the 7 that fertilized, all 7 are still growing. Apparently they like to see 6-8 cell divisions by day 3 (today's day 4, but they don't check them day 4), and all but one were in that range. That one is a slow grower. But 2 of them have 9 cells! So that's neat. Apparently if embryos are on track with that 6-8 cell divisions on day 3, they have a 50% chance of making it to blastocyst on day 5. So many variables.....

@hoffmanr7 i can only imagine the pain/grief you experienced. its okay to take the time you need to process the loss. but you're not out yet... just a terribly long wait until the 24th! we're here with you!
@efavell02 such great news... it's making me nervous. i missed my doctor's call this morning and even though i called him right back, i got his voicemail... the waiting is AGONY. hope we catch each other before the end of the day. it's my day 3 report.

@hoffmanr7 love the pic! Once I saw mine I got super choked up. Ah, emotions. FX for you!
Transfer went very smoothly, and we froze an extra 2 today, with 4 more that get an extra day to see how they go!
Went out to lunch after, now I’m home and it’s like, should I do laundry? Dunno. This process is weird.

@j1006 congrats! Great numbers!
@northbeach yay for 7 fertilized! I hope a bunch of them make it to day 5!
@halfanewt FX some or all of the 4 make it to freeze! I know someone on TB who on day 5 only had 1 for freeze (out of 9), but on day 6 had 6 more to freeze, so some really do need that extra day

Lucky 777 Club!!! Great News
@kiwi2628 10 is a good number! Send positive vibes to your new little lives & imagine them growing & multiplying cells! It’s exciting not terrifying. We all have such a better chance right now then we did the old fashioned way (I’m so tired of the old fashioned way) LOL
@J1006 Excellent !!!
@hoffmanr7 Congrats on the Transfer baby dust & sticky vibes your way!!!

AFM, ER this morning went fine. We got 7 eggs, 2 are in great condition and 5 we are hoping will grow just a bit more (I didn’t know they could grow after being extracted). Anyway, feeling fine. A little crampy but otherwise it all went well. Looking forward to hearing more tomorrow!

AFM, still waiting for AF to arrive so I can start stims, I'm bouncing between dying to get going and being petrified of starting all this again.

@efavell02 and @northbeach3 yay for teachers!

Good luck to anyone else doing a ER this week or transfer. Hoping for lots of sticky embabies for all!

@hoping4lilbit I'm glad your egg retrieval went well. Hurray for 7 eggs!
